It's an incredible show. Great characters and fabulous story. And you don't know who the bad guys are. Along with that there's interactive web stuff and text messages. It's very cutting edge.
Totally worth the hour to watch and 15 minutes to follow on the web each week.

I watched most of the first set of episodes.  I thought it was okay, but I quickly lost patience with how slowly things moved.

This semester I'm working on the reference desk every other Monday night.  To make matter worst, my home "broadband" connection can't feed the website version without major stuttering.

So yeah, I've missed the last two episodes...

If you want a chuckle, check out the movie "Brick" which has Nora Zehtener who played Eden up until Siler did her in.

She didn't die last night.. but she did tell Matt something that if you watch ANY TV you know that is like an instant death sentence.

I think Matt's wife is going to die. She doomed herself last night with her "revelation".

And the Cheerleader's friend has to be on the list. For being either super gay or so astoundingly stupid beyond human capabilities to have that hot cheerleader all over his nuts and being all "I don't think we can be friends". Hello. You have a hot cheerleader wanting SO BAD to be your friend and inviting you up to her room and whatever and you're all "blah blah". Very frustrating.

Oh and also I think Niki and Jessica are going to duel it out and that Niki has more strength than she thinks because she broke the baton, not Jessica.

Disclaimer: I don't mean gay as in bad. I mean it in a "same on same homersexual" way.

for some strange reason i have a feeling that "flying man" ,TM Hiro, is going to turn out to be Claire's long lost father since everyone is slowly getting tied more tightly together. the one quick shot they show of the father is of a guy wearing a business-y looking shirt and the way they;re talking shocker leads me to think its someone we've already run across in the show.

as for nikki/jessica- there were hinting that one hero goes to the dark side and i think an in control Jessica would fit the bill nicely. or they could make a reality TV show about their marriage. Oh wait wrong Nick and Jessica.... :angel:

Yeah watching last night I totally thought Nathan was going to be Claire's father. The hairy arm lead me to that.

Oh.. I missed some of last season, so I'm not toally up on everything: Did Nathan win his election?

well yes and no. When Hiro jumped ahead to the future he saw a paper that said nathan (i am horrible with names, took me 10 minutes to recall Claires and 1) she's my favorite char-along with Hiro and 2) i finished watching the tape of the show about an hour ago) won the election. That was how he rezlied he jumped to the future.

however in "real time" the election hasn't taken place yet though Hiro has told nathan that he will win it- not that nathan believes him of course.

FYI- this is still season 1, they just took a month or so break in the middle of the season like they did with Lost. or you can call it season 1b

1) Nathan is for sure Claire's father, the business shirt, the build, the watch, the sleeves roilled up all stupid.

2) Yay for Claire's mom, Flame on.

3) I think Sanders(Nicki/Jessica) power does not come from her dual identity, it is simply a mental coping device for her.  Hence, Nikki could have power if she could reconcile her life, hence, for a while she'll be all crazy and killer, and then eventually, she'll get the psychiatric help she needs, and be able to be a "good" hero.  (( PS- I don't think Nikki broke the baton, I think she turned into Jess for a minute there, cause when the slammed her up against the wall she was all "wha happened?"

4) I hope the kid remembered there are cameras in ATMs

5) I forget now.. My Dad and I talk about this show for like 3 hours a week though.

As for The Hot Mom (TM), we now have all the standard Super Heroes. I'm happy.

And wow! Nathan as the Dad. Interesting. Didn't even think of that.

so lets see we have the Invisible Man, the Human Torch. Now we just need a Mrs. fantastic and Thing and they'll cover the full Fantastic Four (note stretch has to be a chick since the invis person is a guy or have them both be women to be the anti FF of 1 guy and 3 women <nods for anti-continueity>)

See now, I interpreted that as Niki being shocked that she had the power to do that as herself instead of Jessica. She seemed less "what happened?" and more "Wait, I didn't mean to..." to me.

I thought it was definately Niki who broke the baton.
The body has the power, the personality just needs to realize it and learn to use it.

I'm trying to figure out why the psychiatrist thinks that Nikki can just "let Jessica talk" ... she's never seemed to have any control before.   Silly doctor.

I also missed something somewhere ... when did Hiro start having trouble using his powers?  Any why is he convinced the sword is the key to getting them back?

Jessica would just kill the shrink anyway. She is not really much of a talker.

I didnt see anything to indicate it before they dropped it into dialog in episode 13.

i think Hiro's losing his powers is more of a him losing faith in himself more than the powers themselves not working. After he failed to save the waitress he went back in time to try to save he's been much more depressed about his failure to do so. From then on he's gone from the whole "look what i can do!" gung ho attitude to a more "i'm going to fail" mentality so since he has this in his head he's subconsciously going to fail so its like he is powerless so his power is now "fading"

but now he's fired up about the sword so its become an anchor for him. he can;t see himself funsctioning without the sword to aid him so he is having even more trouble using his powers now until he gets it.

Hiro feels he has had less control since he lost the cute little redhead from Texas.  He knows he is getting the sword, so he looked up the sword, found the legend of the sword, and he ( I believe mistakenly ) thinks he needs the sword to focus his powers.  I think he will be forced to use his power before he gets the sword, thereby empowering him and increasing his self confidence.

As for Jess and Nikki, sometimes Jess forces her way forward, or Nikki fights her back, but I do believe she can "relax" herself, and allow Jess to come forward if she is willing.

Regarding Hiro and his power. Due to the last two or three episodes, I've got an interesting theory, involving... someone else. I'm curious to see if/how it pans out.  :-X

just want to mention that waiting til april 23rd or whaetever it is for the last three or so episodes for the season is much too long a wait- i mean didn't they just have a break last month...

yeah yeah may sweeps and all  :'(

i mean i must find out that Sylar is really Peter's and Nathan's long lost half brother who is the offspring of Hassain guy and Petrelli mom, who had an affair with Linderman who is Nikki/Jessica's real father who worked with Sulu in a sleective breeding program which produced Hiro who is actually Matt's second cousin three times removed all of which is being monitored by HRG who is secretly the real head of the organization that he's pretending to be an underling for.

It was SOOOO good! I'm SUPER-PEEVED (that's my superpower) that we have to wait until April 23.

Linderman reminded me of someone. I thought for sure the screen would go black and we'd hear BLAMBLAM. I loved the look on Petrelli's face when the elevator started to go down instead of up.

And the whole thing with HRG I knew as soon as she turned into Simone that she was going to become the wife. The comment of "I love your hair" and then we see her next she's playing with her hair, then her cell phone rang and it wasn't the barking dogs. He's, as we say in my circle, fooked.

I had no idea Claire was a pickpocket. Its a good thing she's invulnerable, though, after getting hit by that bus (I'm your grandmother / jawdrop).

Lastly, the thing that annoyed me about Simone's death was that she could have been saved if Peter had remembered he could STOP TIME since he had met Hiro. Future Hiro, at that. The one with full control of his powers.. when he stopped the train to tell him to save the cheerleader, to save the world.

I can't wait until April 23!

makes you wonder if grandma is in cahoots with Sulu, HRG and the other guy who's name i can never remember's business. Nathan spawns wee child, folks vanish, sulu ends up giving claire to HRG, grandma seems to have known all about claire when she was talking to Nathan an episode or two earlier. Hassain guy saying he works for a higher power than HRG and then calling grandma before they both show up at peter's apartment speaking french like they were on the phone at the rest stop.

i say grandma is one of the bigwigs and protecting nathan and peter from the group since i don't recall either of them being chased by HRG's group at any point which means they didn't know about them until possibly when claire and HRG visit peter in jail (don't recall if HRG was in the room when they exchanged powers stories)

Peter vs. Sylar round 2 is gonna be great i think.

I'm catching up on old episodes now (I started watching about half way through the season).

In episodes 4/5, HRG and the Ethiopian try to abduct Nathan Petrlli (when he's in Vegas).

Hassain might actually be Haitian ie. from Haiti as well, the guy who can take everyone's memories away that never talked until recently.  i got some of the nicknames like HRG off the TV Guide becuase it was a couple episodes before they told you his name i think...and i still have no clue what it is even now though i know they've said it.

favorite character- dunno. i like Hiro cause he's the eternal geekish type like me. but i also like Claire too and oddly enough lately HRG as the "hey i raised Claire and must protect my Claire-bear" has overpowered the "Bwahaha i shall lock you all away and study you like lab rats" side lately.

ones that don't do much for me- Isaac, um Nikki's husband-i forget the name, the doctor/son of the guy/professor who started the study/search for the heros. see they do so little for me i can;t recall their names.
