Hey Gang,
One of the old Lux gang got me to try this casual strategy game. I think Grimmy might try it also, maybe Bal even.
They have 8 worlds running, and Grum and I are on #8. It is a very simple build/expand type game...think Civ-light online.
They are opening world #9 Monday, so if we all got on and chose say...the SW quadrant for our home towns...we might form a little guild even.
Cheers,
Ber
What game is this? ???

Having failed to add the linkie.....I am now faced with sheepishly putting it in....heh.

Is this a Vanguard thing or can anyone (namely me who has no real idea what it is or how to do it) join you?

This has zero to do with any other game! There is no need to be in Vanguard, WoW, EQ, or anything else for that matter.
It is a simple browser based strategy type game. (No download requried.) You pop in now and then to issue orders..such as building a larger mine, recruiting soldiers, or attacking another village.
You can send resources or troops to help an allied town, form alliances and guilds...the basic stuff. But in terms of time you can pop in for 5-10 minutes a few times a day and get everything you need to do done.
If you get really into it, there is the option to pay a couple of bucks a month to be able to issue mroe orders at one time for building and such. I have yet to do this but might in time. It does not seem necessary, unless you like the game but want to log in only 1-2 times a day to issue building orders...the little fee does have other extras, like making your coat of arms and stuff. I would recommend playing for free and deciding later if you like it and want to spend $2 a month or so.
So my little town on the new world...#9...is in the SW area, and called Luxor.
My in-game handle is Corsair-F4U. (If there are any other old airplane geeks around, they'll know what that is.)

Hey this is really pretty cool so far! Saga tribe has 8 members now, and we are all kind of learning together what's what. Since this game is not really so much of a time sink as on MMORPG, it's kind of a nice. I have never really been able to manage more than one MMORPG at a time for lack of the vast spare time needed....but this I can manage pretty easily.
Thanks to all who have joined in trying this out! :)
I may even shell out the $2 or so a month for a premium account at some point so I can make a Saga coat fo arms....
Boudeccai in Boudeccai's village, reporting for duty!

Sendiwen reporting for duty and Fort Fadayer is up and running!
This game is a blast and is perfect for someone with limited time to be playing. I can not wait until I can raid my first village!
