Btw - someone hook the brother up with a family tag. And I say "brother" because all Erudites were soul brothers back in the day. He was there when we founded the guild too. And I mean the first time. He's the dude in red on the right. I'm in red on the left. Weren't so many robe options back then. I think it had +2 intelligence on it. It was uber. =)

No, it's a group Saga one that someone did ages ago - can't recall who.
Someone gave me family permissions around here very recently. Maybe someone will do the same for you too.

Hey, hey! Good ta meetcha! I am not sure about Valquiss but I was one of those that failed to successfully make the jump from EQ to EQ2.
When EQ2 opened, myself, Syllestrae, Sarhea, and a few others created a Freeport guild first, it was an RP Guild called Birthright whose premise was that after all the devastation, it was time for the Half Elves to claim their destiny!
Alas, while a cool premise (if I do say so myself) we quickly realized that a Roleplay guild with an overly narrow focus was unlikely to last for the long haul.
I did experiment with a few Qeynosian characters... Eliezer transported through time, and a Halfling version of Eliezer that was a descendent of Tuppen... But it didn't stick for me :-\

I forgot that picture of Saga existed. Wow...those are good memories. I made it from all the individual screenshots of characters and photoshopped us all together. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it.
I still play EQ2, but I haven't been on AB or in the Saga guild since the first year EQ2 came out. I transferred over to Lucan D'Lere and have guildhopped (lead a couple of guilds along the way) and now I am in a raiding guild.
Had never been into raiding much until about 5 months ago and got invited along on a raid, had fun, they needed a troubador and I decided to join up.
EQ2 really is a very different game from what it was when it first came out. Mixxi tried it a few years back and enjoyed it and still has characters she plays now and again, but RL occupies her most of the time. I visit with her in San Jose almost every summer and she shows me around the coast between intense playings sessions of EQ2. lol
It is good to hear from you both Val and Elizer!

P.S. My current characters in EQ2 are Garith, Peadar, Ethin and......err...well....Syllestrae. lol. I sometimes create characters to honor old friends. I have had an Eliezer, Valquis, Ankles and Namae, Dara, Wystro and a few others but I didn't particularly enjoy the classes I rolled for them. lol.

I'm a young'n too. I came in after Lyri, and I'll officially hit my 5 year mark on January 1st, 2010, because I channel lurked and quest journal lollygagged during the first month or two after EQ2 launched, but at least I have a really easy to remember anniversary date. :P
Yep, another channel lurker here. I started lurking back in the FV days. As for officially joining, I believe I graduated into Saga at around the same time as Jasyn. We were both working on our quest journals together, I remember. Katu/Kanina was my sponsor! He consequently nicknamed me Spunky. Speaking of which, Anaris, the character, turned 5 years old this week! I'm not sure if I should celebrate or....apologize to y'all.

Um. I'm pretty sure I was inducted into Saga before EQ2 launched but after most folks had finished with EQ1. That is, except Mene. And Wystro. I think those two were the hold outs for like..ever...

I certainly recall you both......You may or may not recall, but way back when my original EQ character Beren Fellhand was in an allied guild by the name of Lux Aeternam. We also did a Freeport guild here in EQ-2, Avidus Aeternam, and I had all kinds of plans with ol' Kanina to have a guild war...and then that stuff was never implemented, and half of our guild faded away....and after around a year or so things were done. A fair amount of Lux returned, as did a number of Saga folks, for Vanguard, and we merged up there. It was actually I who originally campaigned for and sponsored Saga, joining forces with Meledi and Kanina to invite Saga into the Fellowship guild alliance thing in EQ...which for a long time was a great deal I think for all the member guilds.
Recently I have struggled to play consistently, though I have played some old EQ, which has been amusing. Maybe I can get cranked up with the coming holiday to get back to a decent level of activity for EQ-2 again.
Rar! I remember Beren. And of course I remember the Fellowship. That was indeed very cool for a long while. I even met Melodi in person once. In hindsight, organizing not only a guild but an alliance of guilds is the kind of insane-level gaming commitment that results in burnout and RL social complications. But it also contributes to good memories.
Good memories about Lux. That was a good guild. =)
I take pride in knowing I helped cut out some of them people for the Saga Pic.

On my desktop, I have revolving photos from 3 folders; My Fiance, My family, and Saga. Is that good or bad?
And I've only met 2 of you in this thread, in person, but I've met over 35 Saga members over the years, since April 2002 at the first Saga Fan Faire in Seattle, WA.
And, well, as Guildleader / XO (eXecutive Officer when we had more then one guild) I was the one that got Saga moved to our own website and set up our permanent home here.

Just do a /who all Saga when you log in and send a tell. Chances are good someone will be on who can take it from there. If it's one of the new recruits you might get a blank stare, but just ask for an officer or Nixabella.
Wait...you mean you won't have to argue with Sony about restoring your character?
