Title: Caprica
Post by: Anaris on April 03, 2010, 03:53:12 PM
So I've been watching Caprica during my workouts and I have to say that though it started kind of slow, I'm in love with it now!   Reminds me a lot of a short story I wrote recently.  It's a prequel of sorts to BattleStar Galactica, centering around how the cylons were created.  Eric Stoltz plays the lead character, Dr. Daniel Graystone (I've always harbored a secret crush on him). You also get a peek at future Admiral Adama's childhood.  First part of season 1 is eight episodes and it's on Hulu.  Season 1.5 is supposed to come out later this year, in September.

If you were a fan of the BSG series, I recommend it!  It's not as well-developed as BSG, in my opinion, but it's worth watching.  :bdg

Hmmm it appears episodes 1-4 are no longer avalable on Hulu, just 5-9, but Netflix has them!

Is there anyone you DON"T have a crush on?

My guess is David Hasselhoff....mostly due to the fact he was so pretty she would never get any time in front of the mirror.   ;)

She almost gave in though, for a ride in the 1982 Trans Am car K.I.T.T.

Corsair is right!  Mr. Hasselhoff isn't my cup of tea.  Neither is Shia LeBeauf and this Gerard Butler guy everyone's swooning about these days.  I mean, really?!!

I actually -don't have that many celebrity crushes, contrary to what Meanie says.  Just Clive Owen, Robert Downey Jr, Denzel Washington, Eric Stolts, that African American green-eyed guy in Sleeper Cell, Liam Neeson, Shawn Wayans, and Olivier Martinez.  I'm more into a certain actor in a particular role as opposed to just the actor, such as Nathan Fillion as Captain Mal, Helo in BSG (no idea the actor' name), Brandon Lee as Eric Draven/The Crow, Johnny Depp in Benny and June and in Chocolat, Cary Elwes as Westley/Dread Pirate Roberts, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Brad Pitt in Fight Club, Collin Firth as Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, and, sexiest of them all, Jean Reno as Leon in The Professional.

But... Monica Bellucci beats all.  Dibs.

YES Bou!!!  That scene is one of history's most awesome cinematic feats.   If you didn't swoon and sigh heavily when you saw that scene then....you've no pulse!

Hey, Corsair... where's the cheeseburger?

There are a couple of ways one could go from here...ahem. Yes.

I did have a thought to commenting on the shar-pei, but I felt folks own imaginations were likely more amusing and or provocative than I might muster.   :coolsmiley:

I will also stipulate that Malcolm Reynolds is super cool. I totally wish I was that cool. (No one can in our mundane reality can be that cool, but I a gonna Mal as a role model for my son.) Not since Han Solo in the very first Star Wars flick has there been a model of male coolness more worthy of emulation. And before that? Steve McQueen from the "Great Escape" Era....now that is cool.

On a side note, I have the non USA international long release of "The Professional" on DVD...wicked good movie. Ana has pretty good taste. Now i kind of wanna watch The Crow....dang. Maybe it's on Netflix download.

I don't even know what movie this is, lol.

And I'm pretty sure I already called dibs on Monica Bellucci back in 2002...  :smitten:

No!  You can't!  Uh...dibs didn't exist in 2002!

I'll trade you my dibs on Megan Fox for dibs on Monica Bellucci.  I called dibs on Fox in game when Meanie tried to get me to mail him Isla Fisher.   You can have both of them, actually, for Monica dibs.

*nod*
