So I saw this and I pounced (okay, I panicked):

For those who don't want to read the link, TOR has a guild testing program! It launched today! If we're really lucky (and if we get 10 people in) we just might be able to get everyone in Saga into beta all at once!!
I closed the name poll. It was leaning heavily towards Saga uncapitalized so I went with it. With apologies to Titia (and big thanks for things WAY ahead) I'll ask her to delete the SAGA guild she has atm (since it can't be modified) and ask folks to join me here:
http://www.swtor.com/guilds/157572/saga
Invite anyone you think would fit. Recruiting starts now(ish). But most importantly, we want 10 people in here so we can qualify for the guild test!
Val
NOTE - You do NOT need to be preordered to qualify. You just need to create an account with the TOR site.
Applied. User name Grimwyrd.
Aye, Aye, Sir!
Applied as Alirrin. If I can get into Beta, I'll give it a try and see how I like it.
A real life friend applied to the SWTOR site Saga guild as Klaatoon. Not a huge roleplayer, but he's happy to join up and help get Saga rolling.
I told him that we were aiming to be inclusive, and that we usually have a /sagaooc chat channel for those who want to talk about game mechanics and generally interact in a non-RP way.

Sounds good, and thanks! If it helps folks with messaging, what I've always said to tentative roleplayers is this. The minimum requirement is that you uphold the atmosphere of the world. Almost anyone can do this. It's the difference between saying "hail!" and "yo!" in EQ. It doesn't take much. If you do that you at least don't disrupt anyone else's RP. Beyond that ... it's really up to you. But what I don't say is that RP is contagious. Once you start upholding the atmosphere the next thing you know you're improvising. And the next think after that your character has habits. And the next thing... Well, point is, it starts with atmosphere.
I'm going to put that in a FAQ somewhere. =)
The old SAGA is dead, long live Saga !
Applied under Titia's name for now even if she probably won't be my main on the light side (Titia's bound to become an Empire assassin :))
Kudos on the reactivity and for leading all this in the right direction Val !
Applied as Kelora, just cause that's what my tag is on the TOR site.
been signed up there as Tanare for quite a while now
edit- had to toss my Dark Saga GL-ship for it but that doesn;t look to be a big thing anyway. applied
Glad to have you Tanare! Sorry about Dark Saga. I'm sure we can make it again if there's a demand amongst players. For me though, as I've noted, I'll be concentrating on making one guild a strong success before worrying about any others.
I guess the silence has finally gotten to me. I signed up and applied to the TOR guild. I don't know if I will play the game when released, but I am interested in beta-ing it alongside Saga, if that's a possibility.
Applied as Wayena, the Undecided class person.
I signed up last night.
But not as Phillion or XO. You'll have to guess.
Hello All,
It's been a few months. Askari sent me an email and I applied under the user name Haimion.
The Sigil
Yay! Found your post on the board. In order for me to add you to the guild on TOR's site, you need to also click on the big "Apply!" box. For other folks we'd be looking for a conversation first, maybe, but of course Saga don't need to really "apply." =)
Ah...stepped away to watch Frontline and failed to notice that I wasn't logged into my SWTOR account when I first hit the "apply" button. Should be fixed now.
The Sigil
Yep - fixed and I've got you in. We hit our mark of 10 members and now we at least qualify for beta as a guild. Maybe we'll get lucky? It would be great if folks could get a preview, and maybe it would score us a few members who might otherwise not check it out.
Hey Sigals.
How have all of you been?
You are some of my favorite new Roleplaying Family members and I hope to see you all around SWTOR.
Hello friend, Phillion. We have entered into a fugue state...or perhaps We have always been in a fugue state and are only now realizing it. Nevertheless, We find Ourselves slightly confused....and We will most likely be only sending one of Us to play SWTOR ~ most likely.
Application sent................also sending some friends that to ensure critical mass.

Excellent. Approved your application, and you're most welcome!
As soon as we've got a TOR forum area up (and so much work has been done here lately I'd be a monster to push it) I'll start a roster thread to clarify who's really playing what. The TOR guild page is mostly just to satisfy their organizational demands.
Everyone should, of course, feel free to refer friends and invite people who'd fit. Spread the word however you feel is more appropriate. I think everyone here has as much of a handle on what Saga is and does as I do, so you're certainly free to advertise it.

Holy poop! I let work distract me for a few days and we go into hyperdrive!
Application sent. I was logged in with my SWTOR handle--Obscurewing (lame, I know, but it's my default handle name since it was my first ever EQ character back when I was so clueless that I bandaged someone when they asked to be bound at the Freeport gate--bind...bind wounds...an easy mistake, right? right?).
No clue as to my Jedi name.
And the board looks amazing here, BTW. Took me half an hour to get to this thread just because I was having so much fun exploring.

Oh, good times. If I ever get that time machine invented, I'm going back to the beginning of FV and doing that all over again.
Plus, I'll teach Dara to PvP.
You just got your first-ever recruit who can say they have grown up with Saga. Da_Bum is my spawn and a very good RPer--don't worry, Da_Bum is his forum handle. He first came to a Saga in-game event when he was in elementary school. He's over 6 feet tall now and just had jury duty for the first time. And I can remember when he was barely big enough to hold a lightsaber... *sniff*
He also pre-ordered. :)

Yay!! First ever second generation Saga!
You know, based on your earlier comments Mixxi, I've actually been altering how I present the guild. There are some times when folks or surveys ask if the guild has an age restriction. I always present us as older but we can't really have a restriction because it's more about fitting in than it is about birth year. So just for the second generation out there - no age restriction. =)
I just want to say that I am a bit misty-eyed at the thought, Mixxi.
It's been almost 10 years since I've seen your kids, but I remember you telling us that they didn't want you to kill spiders in Misty Thicket because of the noises they made.

That and because the spiderlings crossed their front legs like they were scared. Tender-hearted guys. Of course, they were also executed by the Halas guards because I didn't tell them that they shouldn't duel too close to authorities.
And Val, I'm not opposed to age-restrictions. Nick (aka Da_Bum) is nearly 20, so unless you are thinking of making the restriction approaching middle age, I think he'd be OK if the guild were an adult guild.
Another long-time real life friend of Corsair and I has applied, under the forum name "Meatgrin". :pms

Let me just say you weren't alone, and I'll leave it at that. :buck2:

Excellent! Real life referrals are the best! I've got a RL friend coming too - and the jerk is even in beta currently.
I've checked the TOR site and I don't see a new application. Please ask him to double check.
