Title: [SW-TOR] Meanwhile, back at the spaceport... [Finished]
Post by: Catri on September 21, 2011, 07:23:04 PM
[[If it's ok, I wanted this to be set on the same planet as the "In a cantina far, far, away" thread. These events run concurrently with the events of the last few posts on that thread.]]

Catri Sage activated  The Wildcat's PA system as Bowdaar positioned the ship to enter the docking bay.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, and lifeforms of indeterminate gender this is your Captain speaking. Ground Control has cleared us for landing. We'll be planetside in a few minutes. Thank you for doing business with Sage Industries , and please remember to settle your accounts with the Wookiee before you leave." Catri closed the com channel and leaned back in her chair rubbing her forehead.

"Roooarrgh ur roo."

"I know," Catri replied, "I don't like passenger trips either. At least all of our cargo was legal this time." She shuddered at the memory of a previous trip when her brother Javin's brilliant business plan to get their money's worth out of each trip caused her to simultaneously transport a smuggler's compartment full of contraband and a group of low level Republic diplomats to a rim colony. That was not a fun job.

"Whoaaaa. Waa maa. Warrgh." Bowdaar's statement pulled Catri back into the present.

"I know. We could both use some rest, Bow. Just one more job and we can head home to Nar Shadaa for Wildcat's scheduled maintenance, and a vacation for us...just in time for Dev and Jett to weasel us into joining their team for the Huttball tournament."

A wide grin spread across Bowdaar's face as he finished the docking process. Catri knew he loved Huttball as much as her brothers did.

After the passengers had left and the cargo had been turned over to its recipient, Catri headed into town looking for the Cantina. Javin had sent her instructions to meet a potential client there for a routine transport job. He also instructed her to look for any odd jobs she could find along the same route. This whole "efficient use of resources" idea was really starting to get to his head.

Catri walked through town skimming a data pad containing the details of her next job. She turned the corner onto the street with the cantina just in time to see a man in a dark cloak a few feet away running toward her. Before Catri could say "Watch where you're going, Nerf Brain." the cloaked figure ran into her with the impact of a stampeding bantha knocking her backward onto the sidewalk.

Raven saw the man he was after knock down a woman. Who was standing next to a wookiee." This guy has a death wish. As he ran by her he smiled at her and said" Pardon me Miss." He was almost to the man now. The dark man took a side street into a back ale. It looked like a dead end. The man then entered a old wearhouse. Raven charged right in. The next thing he knew, lightning was all around him it picked him up and put him into the wall. Raven lay on the floor for a moment. then he stagered to his feet." Mind if i smoke?" he said with a grin. "This is mine know." Said a sith pureblood as he stepped from the shadows, holding the holocron. Raven smile was gone. It could not be how was this possible. "Darth Kattonus" He said. Then the other man stepped out and removed his hood. It was the Sith padawan he had fought earlier. raven drew his lightsabers and orange light filed the room.

"RRRrrruurgh! Arrggg!" Bowdaar shouted, shaking his fist in the direction of the two men. He reached down to help Catri to her feet.

Catri leaned on him for a minute struggling to catch her breath. She was certain there were no major injuries, but her introduction to the locals sure had knocked the wind out of her. She checked her data pad for damage before handing it to her friend.

"I'm ok, Bow," Catri said, " I say we split up, find some jobs, and get the frack out of here as soon as possible. Why don't you head over to the cantina to meet with Javin's contact?  I'll head back to the spaceport and see if there are any jobs worth taking there. Call me on my comlink if you find a job"

"Roooarrgh ur roo"

"Don't worry. It should be easy to pick up some routine transport jobs and maybe a few passengers if we have to. What could possibly go wrong?"

Bowdaar shrugged and walked into the cantina. Catri took a moment to consider her options. She was going to check the bulletins at the spaceport for job postings, but it might not hurt to walk through town first and see if she found anything along the way. She turned around and headed in the direction of what seemed to be the trade district.

As Kit moved off in one direction, his focus was split for a short time but then he felt that Sith Lord and his head snapped back in the direction of Raven.  He was rather curious who this dark one was, so he began sliding off around the cantina, past the Wookiee and moving towards the woman and in the direction of Raven.  He stopped at the crossroads just up the way, "watching" Catri move towards the Trade District, surprised that for the second time today, Ashla would take an interest in a non-believer.

The Sith lord ignited his lightsaber. along with the Sith padawan. "That was unwise. You should have ran" said Lord Kattonus. He ran at Raven. Raven pared left to put the padawan on the back side of The sith Lord. Kattonus brought his lightsaber down and Raven blocked it. Raven brought his left lightsaber around and the Sith Lord ducked it. As he ducked he rolled around to Raven's backside. The Sith padawan rushed Raven. Raven Force pushed him into the wall. The Sth Lord used this, and put his lightsaber into Raven's side. Raven dropped to one knee, and rolled forward. Then the Sith lord Force pushed him out the window. He Landed in the street. The People in the market screamed and began to run in all directions. Lord Kattonus was now standing over him. " Know you die. Just like your master."

Catri knew her way around the trade districts on planets like this one. For all of their differences they were really at their core quite the same. Rows of shops and cantinas lined the streets interspersed with storerooms, warehouses, and dark alleys. A steady hum of activity pulsed through the streets set to the rhythm of commerce. Shipments of goods and travelers came in from the spaceports to fill the shops. Merchants displayed their wares for shrewd shoppers hunting for the best bargain. Freighter captains walked around the shops and cantinas looking for jobs while the local authorities on patrol kept a close eye on them. This was what Catri expected to see in the trade district.

Unfortunately, it was nowhere near to what Catri saw. The familiar "rhythm of commerce" had been replaced with chaotic pandemonium as screaming men and women rushed away from one of the shops. It didn't take long to see why. There, in front of the shop, was an injured Jedi...the same Jedi who ran past her earlier...with a Sith Lord standing over him, lightsaber in hand.

Catri liked to think of herself as a sensible woman with a healthy fondness for self-preservation. She knew she should mind her own business and head off to the safety of the spaceport. If only working in Monty's clinic all those years hadn't given her that gorram compulsion to help injured folks....

"Son of a kriffing rancor, this is just not my day." Catri growled as she fired a blaster bolt at the Sith Lord.

Lord Kattonus was just about to take Raven's life. When a blaster bolt hit him in the arm. He turned to see a woman holding a smoking blaster. Raven used this and Force pushed Kattonus. Taking him off his feet and knocking him into his Padawan. They both hit the ground. Raven the rolled back and on to his feet. Then with a force leap he was at the woman's side. "Thanks. Nice shot. I am Raven It is nice to meet you. If we make it out of this. I will buy you a drink. I know i need one." Raven said with a smile. Then Raven felt it. Some one was close. Some one he hand not felt in a long time. Raven looked at the woman and smiled. "The Force is with us today."

"Right...the Force isn't gonna patch up that hole in your side; so hold still" Catri said as she aimed her mediscanner at Raven.

Then with a speed and efficiency that can only come from years of patching up nerf-brained miscreants in the middle of fist fights Catri cleaned out his wound with an irrigation bulb and applied a bacta patch.

"That should keep you breathing for a while, assuming your friends over there don't finish us both off." Catri said as she turned to point her blaster at the two Sith. "The name's Catri Sage. Would've been nice to meet you under better circumstances,Raven, but I'm pleased to make your acquaintance all the same."

He was now moving at a Force assisted sprint, coming in just behind the 2 Sith and stopping when he was only a few very short feet away from them.  Twin lightsabers ignited as he opened his mouth to speak, his voice soft and calm. "Sith, you are both under arrest by order of the Jedi Council, you will disarm immediately and come with me"

He knew there was no chance the Sith would just give up, but that was not the point, he had to try.  There he stood, in a defensive posture, reaching out and feeling everything that was happening. Lips curled into a small smile as soon as he felt that slight wave given off by the Padawan, the sign that the attack was about to commence.

Raven Looked a Catri. "OK this will go fast. Keep shooting at Kattonus. I will Rush him to keep him off balance. The other Jedi will keep the padawan at bay. We may get out of this yet." He smiled and Rush right at the Sith Lord. Just then the Padawan rushed The other Jedi.

"Got it...wait...which one's Kattonus?"

Catri had barely begun the question when Raven rushed the Sith she shot earlier.  Catri shot several blaster bolts at the Sith Lord Raven was fighting as she ran toward them. She rolled behind a shipping crate on the sidewalk near the Force users and continued shooting at Kattonus from behind the cover.

The Padawan made it about 3 steps towards him with that lightsaber swinging in a vicious arc before it connected with the blocking blade in his left hand, right hand neatly slid underneath and severed his hand at the wrist, causing his hand and lightsaber to thump to the ground. The saber in his right hand was powered down quickly and smashed against the padawans head in a sickening crunch, rendering him very unconscious and depositing him in a heap of robes right on the street for later arrest.

Attentions now turned towards Kattonus, who had now become a little ducky in a shooting range, second saber ignited again before he stood straight up, cocked his head to the side a bit and powered down both of his weapons, hanging them at his belt.  Ashla had spoken, he was not to assist Raven in this fight, it was the will of the Force.

Kattonus started sending the blaster blots at Raven. So Raven sent them back. Blaster bolts where hitting every thing around them. It was like a fireworks show. Raven could feel it in the force the moment was near. With a flick of the wrest he sent a bolt into Kattonus's lightsaber. The bolt destroyed the tip. Making it useless, and at that moment. a blaster bolt hit Kattonus in the head. He was dead. Raven looked over to Catri with a smile. "Nice shooting." The he turned to the other Jedi. "It has been a long time Cy." Then he raised his arms to hive him a huge. When he did so you could see blaster holes in his robes. "So a few got by me." he said with a smile.

"Nice shooting."  Raven said

"Thanks" Cstri replied. Just as Raven turned to the other Jedi Catri heard her comlink chime.

"Hello...Oh, good, it's you Bow. Did you make the arrangements with Javin's contact?....Complications? What kind of complications?...Complications with the cargo, well what is the cargo...SLAVES!!! HE WANTS US TO TRANSPORT SLAVES!!! Does Javin even check on these contacts before he sends them to us?....You're right about that. Common sense is not my brother's strong suit. You did refuse the job without ripping the slimeball's limbs off, right?....Good. Thanks for exercising restraint. Look, just hang around the Cantina a little longer. See if anyone there has a job for us and have them call me....No I haven't found anything. I got sidetracked playing catch with a Jedi and a Sith Lord....I'll explain later. I'm going to keep looking for a job here. Bye"

Catri slipped the commlink back into her pocket and walked over to the two Jedi. She winced upon seeing the holes in Raven's robe.

"You ok?" she asked.

Raven smiled a t Catri. " i am fine not one scratch." Then he bent over Kattonus's Body ad removed the holocron. " How about a drink you two?" Just then his comlink beeped. " Nothing? OK, meet me at the Cantina. The Force has our answer." Then Raven looked at Catri. " do you have a ship?"

His head swiveled towards the Jedi and he smiled to him "Yes it has Raven, a very long time.  I would join you but I need to get this confused young man back to the council"   He motioned to the still unconscious Padawan before he turned to Catri with a smile. "Good shooting Miss" Was all he had to say before turning towards the crowd of onlookers.

Cy finally found who he was looking for and he nodded to a man. "You can take him to my ship now, don't use shockers and set your blaster to stun only" The man moved forward and bound the hands of the Padawan, hoisted him over his shoulder and carried him around the corner towards the hangars.  He turned once more towards Catri and Raven, gave a low bow and moved off after his prisoner and mule.

Catri nodded at the Jedi. Then she turned back to Raven.

"A drink sounds great right now. As for ships, I have the best ship in the galaxy, and I happen to have an opening in my itinerary at the moment," Catri said " I'll fly anywhere outsid'a Imp space with near any cargo you have, with the exception of spice and slaves. I've got room for passengers as well if you want to get off this rock."

Raven bowed to his old Jedi friend."May the Force be with you, my friend." Then he turned to Catri. "Well,  i need to get this holocron back to the Jedi council on Tython. Passengers will be me and my Padawan Jen Sim. We can go to the cantina and wait for her. She is on her way. I think i owe you a drink any way." With that said he waved a hand in the direction of the cantina and started walking.

Catri followed Raven to the Cantina. She paused on her way in raising her eybrows at the damaged window. No matter where she went she could always rely on the three universals: death, taxes, and Cantina fights.

She scanned the room until she spotted Bowdaar sitting at a corner table with a drink in his hand. She approached the table waving for Raven to join her.

"Bowdaar, this is Raven. He wants passage for himself and his padawan to Tython."

"Wyaaaaaa. Ruh ruh."

"He says 'Hello, how are you?'" Catri said to Raven

Raven sat down, and replied " Nice to meet to you as well. It has been a long time since i have been around a wookiee. I spent a year on your home world catching slavers. I think we need some drinks." with that said. Raven waved his hand at the bartender. Just then a short woman in Jedi robes entered the cantina. She had long black hair and bright green eyes. She walked up to them. " There you are Mast..." she looked at raven with shock. " Are you OK?" she asked. " I am fine" Raven answered. She sat down. "Catri, Bowdaar This is Padawan Jen Sim." She smiled and said. "nice to meet you." Raven The said." Well i say we have a drink or two. Then we can go when you are ready."

" Ruh gwyaaaag.  Aganworawo wokoahuwo scwo. Ah'sc rrooahwhrr aooo rrwoao." Bowdar said. He got up, bowed to the Jedi, and left the Cantina.

"I'll have a Supernova." Catri said to the bartender. Then she turned back to the two Jedi. "Bow went to buy supplies for our trip. Now, what can you tell me about our little game of catch in the market? It appears to have had something to do with your cargo. I don't want usually pry too much into a customer's business, but I've grown awful fond of breathing over the years. You said you wanted to take a holocron back to Tython. Now, I seem to recall you taking a holocron from the pocket of a dead Sith Lord. I imagine it would be a might useful to know if any Sith will be taking measures to get it back...measures which might threaten to  interrupt my  breathing schedule."

Raven looked at Catri "He kill my first Master. I do not think any other Sith will be after this Holocron. He took it many years ago. As a padawan i tracked him down and defeated him but he did not have it. But i knew he knew where it was. After i bet him i turned him over to the Jedi council. How he was free i do not know. I guess that is why the council never told me what had happen to him. I have been looking for this holocron. ever since. I have been close but never got my hands on it. It would seem that it was a game from the start. Lord Kattonus wanted he to hurt. Then i think he was going to kill me. But by the will of the Force you showed up. And now we sit having a drink. Kattons took this holocron because my Master made it for me. He wanted to get my Master out in the open, to kill him. Then i think he planed to turn me to the Darkside. He failed. So do you feel better know." Jen looked at Catri "thank you so much for helping my Master. I would be lost with out him." Raven looked at Jen and smiled warmly. raven then turned to Catri." As for that broken window i can tell you about that as well." then he smiled real big.

"I'm sure it's an interesting story. I'm sorry about your master. Again, I didn't like to pry into your business. I was just a bit concerned about having Sith on my tail during our trip. No doubt, The Wildcat can hold her own in a fight, but I'd just as soon avoid unnecessary conflict."

Catri took a sip of her drink and leaned back in her chair. She considered her situation for a moment. She had landed on the planet thinking she would be picking up a basic shipping job that she could drop off on her way home. A blaster fight later she was about to head in the opposite direction to Tython, Home of the Jedi. Why couldn't life just be simple for once?

"Well, I've always wanted to see the Jedi Temple. I'm ready to leave when you are." Catri said.

Catri was about to leave the table when she paused in surprise. A green male Twi'lek was stumbling toward their table making loud comments to various Cantina patrons as he approached. When he reached their table his eyes swept across the whole group pausing on the jedi Padawan.

"Hello, Beautiful." The Twi'lek said "Catri, who's your friend...and what's her number?"

"Corrin, are you drunk?" Catri asked

"What, is it illegal now to have a drink at the end of a job? You're no fun anymore, Kitty Cat." Corrin stumbled forward catching the table to stay standing. Still holding onto the edge of the table, he slid onto the bench next to Catri and put his arm around her. She was about to recoil until she noticed something strange. He didn't smell like alcohol, and that was awful odd for a drunk man.

"What the frell is going on here, Corrin?"

"I'm sorry Cat," the very sober Twi'lek said "I don't know how it happened, but Soryn's on your trail."

"Where are the Twins?" Catri asked.

" They're safe, hiding out somewhere. You need to get out of here. You can't go home either." Corrin said

"What about Dad, Javin, and Andros..." Catri protested.

"Jorel and your brothers can take care of themselves. You need to run. Now." As Corrin said that Catri noticed two tough looking Zabraks enter the Cantina and begin looking around. She didn't recognize them, but she would bet the Wildcat that they were members of Soryn's crew.

"I guess it's my turn to get us into a fight. Does this place have a back door?" Catri asked Raven.

"I already had a fight here." Raven pointed to the broken window. " Jen guide Corin. i will guide Catri." He then looked at Catri. "Th is is better then fighting" With that said he waved his hand and the lights went out. Then he was up and Catri in his arms. with in a few seconds the where in the dressing room. Jen and Corin where right behind them. Jen moved for the door. But Raven graped her hand before she could open it. "Wait, can you feel that?" Jen closed her eyes then said "Yes i feel it my lov... leader." she turned a bit red from her word slip. " Looks like there will be a fight after all." Raven said. Very fast to cove his Padawan's mistake. Then he used the force to block the door to the cantina. "Hope that will keep them from coming up behind us. OK, i will go first." He then ignited his lightsabers. Then Jen did the same. The room was filled with orange light from Raven's and Jen's lightsabers. Then Raven force pushed the door out and ran outside.

"Punch me,Cat." Corrin said. Catri spun around to face Corrin.

"What?"

"Punch me. Hard...and then hit me with your blaster, " Corrin said "Come on, it's not like you never hit me when we were kids."

"Are you out of your fracking mind?" Catri asked.

"Look, if I go with you, my uncle will come after us both. If I stay on his crew I can try to keep him off your trail long enough for you to escape. I need to look like I tried to stop you, though." Corrin said

"Look Corrin," Catri said "I'm a bit concerned about whatever's behind that door. I've already had one blaster fight with a Sith Lord today, and I could use some backup if I'm about to walk into another one. I'll see about decking you if we both survive."

Catri drew her blaster and followed Raven through the door. Corrin paused for a moment. He considered going back inside and taking on his Zabrak crewmates by himself to buy the group time to escape, but he knew that wouldn't work. He would have to follow Catri, at least for now. He could try to figure out a way to keep Soryn's crew away from the Sage family later. Maybe his father was right. Emotional attachments would be the death of him someday.

"Here goes nothing." He said as he drew both of his blasters and followed Catri into the fight.

Raven exited the back door to find, twelve armed men standing their. The man in the center of them stepped forward. He was a Zabrak. "You need to stand down Jedi. This is not your fight." The rest of the group joined Raven in the ally. The Zabrak leader looked at Corrin. " You have done well. Your Uncle will be proud." He said with a smile. "NOW!" Raven said. Then He dropping to one knee, and Force pushed a trash bin at the men. As he did it Jen ran up behind him and force jumped off his shoulder's, and backflip-ed behind three of the men. Then the blaster fire started. Raven blocked the bolts with no problem. Jen cut the end of one man's gun off and then side kicked the second. The third man but the butt of his rifle in to the back of Jen's head. Knocking her to the ground. "NOOOO!!!" Raven screamed as he force pushed the all back. All but one. The man who had knock Jen down was in the are. His hands at his throat. " HOW DARE YOU!!" With that said, Raven put the man's head in to the wall. The man's head caved in like a melon. Raven rushed to Jen's side. She was out cold. Then the blaster fire started again. Raven put Jen on his shoulder. With one lightsaber he was blocking incoming fire-er. He was falling back to Cat and Corrrin. They where trapped. "Cat, call Bowdaar. Tell him to get the ship over here."

"Here goes nothing." He said as he drew both of his blasters and followed Catri into the fight.

Corrin did not see a Sith Lord when he exited the Cantina. No, instead he found Khalik, one of Soryn's lieutenants, and about a dozen of his goons.  All told, he would have preferred a Sith Lord.

" You have done well. Your Uncle will be proud." Khalik said with a smile.

"What does he mean you've done well?" Catri shouted.

Just then the two Jedi leaped into action. Corrin grabbed Catri and shoved her against the side of the cantina. Then he pulled a device out of his pocket, pressed a button, and released it to hover in the air. Within seconds a wall of energy sprang up in front of them shielding them from the incoming blaster fire. Corrin and Catri raised their blasters and began returning fire.

"I don't know what he meant, Catri, " Corrin insisted, "They must have followed me here." Catri  leaned to the side to get a better aim. Corrin yanked on Catri's arm dragging her back behind the energy field. "Stay behind the gorram shield!"

"You didn't honestly think playing drunk would work?" Khalik sneered, "We knew you would try to warn her. You're just as weak as your father said you were. I'm going to enjoy watching your Uncle Soryn tear your meddling friends apart piece by piece. Maybe he'll let me have some fun with this one before he kills her."

"Go to hell, Khalik!" Corrin shouted. The Zabrak slid to the side narrowly dodging the bolts from Corrin's blasters.

Just then Catri heard Raven shout. She froze when she saw him smash a man's head into a wall. Catri snapped out of her shock at the sound of Raven's voice beside her. She ducked behind Corrin and pulled her comlink out of her pocket.

"Bowdaar, it's Catri...Yes, I know Soryn found out what we did. I'm having a discussion with some of his men about it right now...No, I'm not hurt. Listen,  I need a taxi for four at the cantina. Thanks, Bow."

Catri stood up beside Corrin and resumed fire. A few minutes later The WildCat zoomed in low overhead and came to a stop hovering over the Cantina. The cargo bay door opened, and Bowdarr walked onto the loading ramp. He threw a few stun grenades at their attackers.

Raven saw the ship over head. He looked at Catri an Corrin. " I'm sorry this may hurt a bit." Then he used the Force to throw them in to the cargo hold. He tried to set them down gently. But, he knew he failed. It was hard to focus. With all these emotions. As they landed on the deck. he took a blaster round in the shoulder. He blocked the next one that was aimed at his head. he moved back in to cover. He put Jen on his other shoulder, and backed up to the wall. Then he Force ran at the opposite wall. At the last moment he jumped. Running up the wall he jumped again. Landing on the opeset wall he jumped once more, landing on the roof. With on last force jump. He was in the cargo hold. He fell to his knees. Placing Jen in his lap. He sat their trembling. Then tears ran do his face. He looked up at Catri. "How do you controle love?" He Knew she would be alright. But it had scared him to think she was gone. He had used the Force in anger. This was not like him. He lost controle. "I have failed as a Jedi."

"Sithspit." Catri replied. She pulled out her mediscanner and waved it over Raven and Jen. She shot kolto injections into their arms and bandaged Raven's shoulder. "It's not love you've got to worry about controlling, it's that temper of yours. She'll be fine. I got worse injuries than that playing Huttball as a kid. All of that 'There is no passion, there is only the Force.' nonsense only goes so far until you run into a wall of passion. Running from your emotions won't help you control them. Now you both had best come with me to the control room and buckle up."

Catri led the two Jedi to the control room where Bowdaar and Corrin were waiting for them. Catri made sure Raven, Corrin, and Jen were settled into the passenger seats before strapping herself into the pilot's seat. Then she began the ascent through the planet's atmosphere.

Raven sat their, in his chair. He was calming him self. Jen Reach out and touched his hand. Raven looked at her and she smiled at him. Then she mouthed the words(I love you.) Raven smiled and said "I love you too." Then he looked at Cat."Do you want to tell me what is going on?" Catri was about to answer. When Raven and Jen both felt it. "Cat, you need to charge the main guns. I hope you fly as well as you shoot. Because, we have company." With that said he made his way to the main gun.

"Cat, you need to charge the main guns. I hope you fly as well as you shoot. Because, we have company." As soon as Raven said the Wildcat's sensors picked up a ship. One of Soryn's ships had been waiting for them just outside of the planet's atmosphere.

"Corrin..." Catri said

"I'm on it!" the Twi'lek called over his shoulder as he followed Raven to the gun turrets

Catri swung the Wildcat sharply to the right to avoid the other ship's blaster fire, and they were off on their game of space tag. Catri's flying was as good as her shooting, but Soryn Vel was known for hiring the best scum in the galaxy, and his ship was right on the Wildcat's tail. The Wildcat swerved from from side to side narrowly dodging blaster fire as Corrin and Raven returned fire.

" How much longer, Bow?" Catri asked

"Ra wwwooh scoorcwo"

It would be another couple of minutes before Bowdaar had the hyperdrive coordinates ready to take them to Tython. The ship was close on their tail, and she needed to do something to put some distance between them. That's when she spotted the asteroid field up ahead. Bowdaar looked over at her, his brow furrowed in concern. He knew what she was thinking.

"Aoacraao'c ra orrarcorahwhrr!"

"I know it's a karking stupid idea, but it's the only one I've got." Catri steered the Wildcat into the middle of the asteroids. She began looping around and in between the floating rocks hoping to shake the other ship off of their tail.

"Aoohahwhc ohoohuanwa rhwo" Bowdaar said Catri laughed at his comment.

"I know. The Twins would be proud, and they'll be sorry they missed this when I tell them about it." Catri said, referring to the two most reckless of her four brothers.

The other ship was beginning to lag behind as it followed the Wildcat's loops and corkscrews, but it still looked too close for comfort. She activated the intercom to the gun turrets.

" Bowdaar's almost got the hyperdrive coordinates in. Try to take out their guns or their engines. That might buy us some time. We'll exit the asteroid field as soon as Bow says we're ready to jump into hyperspace."

Raven was Firing away at the ship. When he notice they had entered an asteroid filed. Raven smiled. "Very nice." He said to him self. Then it hit him he had an idea. He Jumped out of the gun turret, and ran to the cockpit.
" Cat i have a idea. Jen i will need your help. OK, Cat keep doing what you are doing. By the Way nice flying." Looking at Jen Raven said. "Rember size matters not." Jen smiled at Raven. "Some times it dose." She answered. Then the two closed their eyes. Raven took Jen's hand and raised his other one. She did the same. As the Wildcat danced around the rocks, smaller one started to form behind her. Then bigger ones. Until there was a wall of rock behind the Wildcat.
"I do not know how long we can keep this up. So, please be quick."

Bowdaar nodded at Catri. She pulled a lever on the control panel. The stars in front of them stretched into glowing lines as the Wildcat entered hyperspace. Corrin walked up behind the pilot's seat and ruffled Catri's hair.

"Nice flying, Kitty Cat." Corrin said "I need a drink. Please tell me you have something on board stronger than that horrible Ansionian tea Bowdaar likes so much. I can't see how he stands that stuff, but then, the weight of all that fur on his head can't be too good for the functioning of his brain."

Bowdaar gave a playful mock growl an pinned Corrin's arms to his side carefully using only a small fraction of his considerable strength.

"Ah oaoohuanwa caoahanan rhworaao rooohu!"

" Hey, who are you calling a nerf herder? And You could not beat me in a fight." Corrin replied

"If you kids want to stop rough housing and follow me to the kitchen I'll get you that drink you asked for," Catri said . Then she turned to Jen and Raven "I think we could all use a drink, and I owe you an explanation about the fight I pulled you into. Then I'll show you to the guest rooms."

Catri left the control room and walked into the room that doubled as a kitchen and a lounge area. On one side of the room there was a kitchen area with a large round table and six chairs. A sofa and a few mismatched armchairs and end tables were arranged in the middle of the room in front of a recreational view screen that hung on the wall.  She motioned for the others to find a chair around the table and began taking things out of the cabinets. First she set a bottle of Corellian Brandy and five glasses on a plain metal tray. Then she turned on the stove to boil water for tea and took four mugs from the cabinet (Really, they looked more like three mugs and a soup bowl with a handle). When the water was ready she scooped sweet, tangy powder into each of the mugs and stirred as she poured water over it. She placed the cups on the tray with a couple of packages of cookies and brought it over to the table.

"Jeez, Cat, all that effort for a cup of nasty-tasting warm water...I think the wookiee is corrupting you." Corrin said as Catri passed out mugs of tea and glasses of brandy.

"Now, about the fight earlier, do you want to tell them, Corrin? It's your family." Catri asked

"Family only in name, Kitten, we both know who my real family is." Corrin said as he tightened his grip on his brandy glass. He drained the contents of the glass in one gulp and refilled it. "You'd better tell the story."

" Corrin here comes from a long line of scum and villainy. The Vel family has a reputation in our part of Nar Shadaa for involvement in all sort of unsavory activities. His father, Ardon Vel, and Ardon's brother , Soryn, run a somewhat less than respectable trade business on Nar Shadaa. Soryn handles the transport and Ardon runs the warehouses, though he often spends more time getting stone drunk and starting fights in the local Cantina than he does working in the warehouse. Seeing as he didn't provide a home life conducive to the health an well being of a youngling, Corrin usually tried to be anywhere but home, and anywhere was more often than not my Dad's machine shop.

Corrin was in the same class as Devron and Jet, two of my brothers, in school (when the nerf brains actually went to school), and he proved that trouble does indeed come in threes when he and the Twins took to spending just about every waking moment together. He even worked in my Dad's shop for a while. Well, a number of years ago Ardon got it into his head that attachment to my family had made his son weak and Corrin needed toughening up; so he got Corrin a job with Soryn.

There's not really a nice way to describe Soryn Vel. He's a ruthless, psychotic pirate who tries to masquerade as a legitimate businessman, and he is not the sort of person who takes no for an answer. Corrin had little choice but to work for Soryn and do whatever work he was assigned, even if it meant flying a cargo hold full of children to a rimworld slave market. Corrin got a might uncomfortable when his uncle started sending him on slave runs, but there wasn't much he could do about it if he didn't want to get a first hand demonstration of Soryn's experience in various forms of torture. And that's where Sage Industries got involved.

A while back my brother Javin got lucky in a pazaak game and decided that winning a ship meant he should start a shipping business. The twins fly that ship, The Lucky Draw, and I bought the Wildcat to expand the business a few years ago. Corrin realized that having friends with ships could come in handy. He told us his problem and we came up with plans to sabotage as many of his uncle's slave runs as we could. Sometimes we just arranged for the authorities to show up in the right place at the right time. Other times "space pirates" boarded his ship and stole the cargo, or one of us snuck on board and unlocked the holding area while the ship was docked. Each time we made sure Corrin was able to form a convincing alibi to distance himself from the cause of the failed job, but I suppose it was only a matter of time before Soryn figured out what was going on.

After that, it wasn't too hard for him to find us. He is acquainted with my family, and Javin doesn't use much in the way of security protocols with our shipping itinerary. Anyway, we should be able to get to Tython okay. We don't have business there often, and I didn't get a chance to send Javin our updated itinerary."

Raven took a sip of his drink. He sat there for a bit."Well, I think we should drop this Holocron off. But not stay. I know of a planet in the outer rim we can go to. You will be safe their." Jen turned to Raven with shock on her face. " You can't. We do not know her." Jen looked at Catri." I am sorry, but there are only two people. Who know of this planet, and you are looking at them. It is my home, and the council can never find it." Raven took Jen by the hand and kissed it. " It will be OK, I feel it in the force. We where meant to help her. But, when we leave. I will fly. All data on this Planet will be deleted. You will never truly know where it is. Then we will get more help. We will need more people if we are to take down this organization." Raven got up. "I would also ask, that you do not every menchin me and Jen's relationship. We would be kick out of the Order. I must go and meditate." Raven started walking for the cargo hold. Jen got up to follow. "Me too."

Bowdaar took most of the dishes to the sink to wash leaving two brandy glasses on the table.

"Aoraorwo ra whraak." Bowdaar said as he walked toward the door.

"Okay, Bow, I'll wake you when we land." Catri said. "Corrin, what happened to Dad, Javin , Andros, and the twins?"

"They're all safe. The twins had already come back to the shop so that Andros could give The Lucky Draw her check up when my uncle figured out our plans. Monty heard Soryn arguing with my dad in the cantina, and he warned your family to get out quick. They all boarded Lucky and flew somewhere safe. Jorel wanted to find you first and warn you. He kept saying that he wasn't going anywhere until all of his kids were safe. Your brothers tried to convince him that it would lead Soryn right to you. They didn't know that he had already found out your destination from your customer. In the end Monty slipped Jorel a sedative and carried him on the ship."

"Are you ready to do this? You may need to kill...."Catri stopped Corrin put his hand on her wrist.

"I know." He said "I don't know if I'm ready. We'll find out."

Corrin and Catri sat across from each other in silence for a few moments staring into their drinks. Catri knew this day would come when the twins approached her with their ideas to help Corrin, but what she did not count on was dragging innocent bystanders into her family's fight. Finally, Catri pulled a Pazaak deck out of her pocket. A few hands would help them take their minds off of what was happening.

" How about a game just for fun, no wagers?"

"What, you afraid I'll beat you?." Corrin replied.

Catri laughed as the two of them dealt their cards. They played several hands catching up on news from home and reminiscing about old times. Catri told Corrin about her oldest brother Andros pulling so many all nighters at the shop that he programmed a protocol droid which only spoke Huttese. Corrin reminded Catri about her high school job doing chores for her dad's friend Monty in his clinic and sneaking medical supplies to the boys to patch them up when their crazy stunts went wrong. A few hours later The Wildcat was almost ready to exit hyperdrive. Catri gathered up the cards and cleaned the rest of the dishes.

"Corrin, I don't feel right about pulling Raven and Jen into this. We shouldn't put them in danger over our fight." Catri said

"I know. Let's get to Tython, drop off their cargo, and then we can see about slipping off the planet before they notice." Corrin said

Catri walked toward the door of the lounge area. As she walked past Corrin he pulled her into a hug.

" I got our family into this mess, Kitten, and I promise I'll get us out of it." Corrin whispered. He held Catri for a moment trying not to think about how close Khalik and his men had come to getting to her before he could warn her.

Corrin  released Catri and went to the cargo hold to tell the Jedi that they would be landing soon. Catri woke Bowdaar and went to the control room.

[[Jen and Raven will probably not be as easy to evade as Cat and Corrin think. ;) However, the two Jedi and the Wildcat crew still need more reinforcements to help fight Soryn's crime syndicate. We're looking for recruits to jump in either on Tython or on the way to Jen's planet.]]

Raven was looking out the cockpit window, As the Wildcat landed on Typhon. He could see Three human Jedi walking up to the ship. "Home at last. I will get the door." Raven moved off to the exit. As the ramp was lowering down. He could see the Jedi standing there. Raven walked down the ramp. The lead Jedi stepped up. "Knight Miles, You and your Padawan are to report to the Council chamber immediately. The rest of the crew of this ship, are to come with us. We have some questions for you. Raven looked at Catri. "It will be fine. The Force is with you." He smiled and made his way to the Council chamber. As he was walking he could feel Jen apprehension. "Relaxe, It will be fine." She looked at Raven. "Do you think, he will be their?"
"I hope not. But, he is on the Council."
"I do not like the way he looks at me. He wants me, and not in a good way."
" I know."
As they entered the chamber, Raven heart drooped. Their was only one master in the chamber. It was Master Timith Houseman. The one Master they did not want to see.
"Hello Master." Raven said as he bowed.
"Do not hello me. You have done it this time." The master then started walking around Jen. Like a best stocking prey. Raven could feel the lust coming of the Master in waves. He steeped up to his face. "What is this about.?"
"As of now you are on probation. If it was up to me. You would be out of the Order. You will now have a representative of the Council. He has just been Knighted. You will find him in the meditation garden. Knight Moonstride, will tell the Council what they need to know. Then your Padawan will be mine."
"LIKE HELL!" Jen said as she stepped into the masters face. Raven grabbed her by the arm and turned he toward the exit .
"As you wish Master."
As they where leaving they could hear him laughing. Jen pulled her arm away.
"That piece of Bantha poodo."
"It will be OK. We needed help any way. I just hope that Council will see that Master Houseman is turning to the dark side."
"You handled that well. I thought you where going to Force push hi out the window."
"No, what i wanted to do was put my lightsaber up his butt and turn it on. But i do not think, that is the Jedi way." Raven smiled at Jen. She smiled back and Laughed.
"Lets go find our new friend."

The gardens at the temple were removed from the bustle of Jedi life, the way Levant preferred. Sitting in the sunlight, he reflected on the task at hand. It was his first assignment as a Jedi knight, and it was not as it seemed. Master Houseman's brought Jedi Miles to the attention of the council. While some of his claims seemed justified, his motives did not. To appease Master Houseman the council agreed to sent a consort more or less to judge the Jedi and his padawan, but in secret Levant was asked to try to sniff out what Master Houseman's motives were.

Timith Houseman was known for his less than noble ideals, but he was also known to be an incredible lightsaber duelist. His fringe towards the darkside needed to be handled carefully to avoid any danger to the temple, the Jedi Raven Miles or his Padawan. The council had guided him here, but the force gave him the resolve. Levant knew what corrupt Jedi were capable of and he would stand against any that came to him, be it Jedi Knight Raven Miles, or Master Timith Houseman.

Levant stood and brushed himself off when his quiet was broken by a pair walking towards him. He could feel the stronger emotions coming off the two, they had recently been in a confrontation. "You must be Raven, and this must be Jen." Levant bowed. "I am Levant Moonstride, Jedi Consular to the order. It seems I am to keep tabs on you for a time. I promise my report will be impartial. I simply seek the truth on your situation."

Grabbing a small back sack Levant threw it over his shoulder. "I'm sure you're well aware you're travelling with a known smuggler? The council wanted to interrogate Ms.Sage and her companions in several matters. Seeing as I would be travelling with you I convinced them it would not be necessary. They have been detained out of their ship on the landing pad. So shall we?" He motioned for them to leave. "I'm sure we can walk and talk at the same time."

From several hundred meters away, Cy once again felt the Force signature of Raven amongst all the others in the area and allowed himself a small smile.  He had known from the moment he landed his Interceptor on Tython that Raven would not be very far behind him, and he would in fact find him in that peaceful grotto.  Ashla was calling to him once again, soft feelings and sensations poured through him as he "sighted" Raven, surely the sign he was looking for.  Ashla knew that Raven would need help, and she made sure he would be there to lend his assistance.

Cyrian moved casually towards the assembled Jedi, completely focused on his goddess and allowing her eyes to see for him.  He had seen Levant around the temple, but as he did with most others, he had kept to himself.  He pulled his dark grey robes closer and came to a stop a few feet from them, nodding to Jen and Levant and then addressing Raven.   "I am prepared, Raven."

Rave could feel it in the force. The answer to his problem, was in the garden. He felt Cy, when he landed. Cy walked up to the group.  "I am prepared, Raven."  Cy said. Raven smiled. "I knew you would be. We will take your ship. We will get the rest of our team." Then he looked at Levant. " We will be taking out a slave ring. It will be fun." Raven gave him a big smile. " Rember to trust the Force you will be OK." With that said. He made his way towards the landing pad. Jen smiled. "This will be good." Then she followed her Master. As Raven walked he was trying to get a feel for Levant. He could feel the distrust. That was good. Trusting to easy could get him killed. He also was wondering what Master Houseman was up to. What had he shown the Council to get them on his side. Their would be time for that later. For now his path was clear.

Catri, Corrin, and Bowdaar were enjoying their stay on the lovely Jedi landing pad. They had been informed by two fine, upstanding young Jedi that they really ought to spend time soaking in the atmosphere of the hanger bay where the Wildcat was parked. In fact, the young men thought it was such a nice hangar bay that they decided to spend the next half hour standing near the door to get a better view. They were so engrossed in their contemplation that they refused the offer to join the game when Catri pulled out her deck of Pazaak cards.

After about a half hour a male Togruta wearing a Jedi master's robes approached the hangar. The young men bowed to him and stepped aside so he could enter. He approached the Pazaak game and waited a few moments. The three smugglers glanced at him briefly then returned their attention to the cards in their hands. A few moments later he cleared his throat loudly. Catri set down her cards and stood up.

"Can I help you?" she said

" I am Master Avin Na of the Jedi Council." he said. "I hear you have been traveling with Knight Miles. I have received reports that he harbors romantic feelings for his padawan, Jen Sim. Can you confirm these reports?"

"Well, I don't rightly know what feelings Raven harbors. I don't exactly make it a point to read his diary." Catri replied.

" Have you observed Knight Miles engaging in any behavior unbecoming of a Jedi?"

"What type of behavior do you mean?" Corrin asked

"I believe you know what I am referring to." he said glaring at them.

"No," Catri said glancing mischievously at Corrin "I think I need you to explain it to us."

Catri tried to avoid laughing as Master Naa cringed and put his head in his hands.

"I would like to know if they have been engaging in any shameful, illicit activities which could lead to darkness." Master Naa said

"Oh, you mean Jedi sex. No, I haven't seen any Jedi sex on my ship." Catri said. "Corrin, have you seen any Jedi sex going on lately?"

"No, well not other than this one Holovid, but I don't think they were real Jedi." Corrin said "Have you, Bow?"

Bowdaar doubled over with laughter at Corrin's question. Master Naa folded his arms and glared at the three smugglers.

"Look, Master Naa," Catri said "It isn't my business what sort of feelings Raven harbors, and I really don't see how it's any of yours either."

The group of Jedi had walked into the hangar to the sound of laughter and a sight of a Jedi master standing in front of the smugglers. Levant recognized the Togruta. Master Naa was a well respected Jedi and member of the council. He was also known for his disdain for those who knowingly opperate outside of the laws of the republic. Levant figured it would only be a few moments until they all ended up in force cages. "He shouldn't even be here..." Levant mumbled before he bolted through the hangar towards them.

"Master Naa." Levant said coming to a stop. "May I ask what you're doing here? I believe I asked the council to not interrogate our guests while they were on Tython."

Master Na stopped leering at the group and turned his attention to Levant. "I was just asking a few questions about Miles, i left the smuggling infractions out of it."

"I understand master, but this is my charge. I will report back on everyone involved in the matter at hand." Levant said motioning for him to leave.

"A word Levant." Na said pulling Levant to the side. \These people are criminals and Miles is playing with fire, he could already be on a path to darkness. And what of Cyrian, how did he become involved?'. Telepathy was the Jedi way of keeping others out of a conversation.

'I believe Cyrian and Raven have a past connection. I will keep my eye on them both I assure you. As for the crew of the Wildcat, if I find they've broken the law, I will have them detained if I have to do it myself' He replied.

Master Na began to walk away. 'Be careful Levant. Do not trust anyone except the force. You are out numbered and you will be alone. I look forward to your report.'

Levant bowed 'I have the force, I am never alone.'. Turning Levant returned to the group having got rid of the Jedi presence for the time being. "We shouldn't stick around much longer, Master Na is a disciplined Jedi. If he couldn't resist coming here to question you then I'm sure there are others on the council who would rather skip this all together by throwing you all in force cages and sorting you out later."

Cyrian calmly and quietly followed the group into the hangar, then watched as Levant sped up and cut off Master Naa.  When they were both out of earshot, he turned ever so slightly and whispered to Raven "Beware Raven, the hypocrisy of the council knows no bounds"  He then moved away from the group and headed towards his Interceptor, raising a communicator. "Lower the ramp and prepare for lift off, no coordinates"  When the ramp hit the deck he stepped quickly into his ship and headed for the cockpit to assist his T-7 unit with launch procedures.

Raven smiled at Cy. "I know old friend. Trust me . I know." He turned to Jen. "get aboard. I will get the others." He walked over to the laughing group. "I am glad you all are enjoying this glorious hanger. But it is time to go. Lock up the wildcat. We are taking Cy's ship. Do not try to leave. I took data chip for the nav computer. I know you wanted to keep me out of this. But i owe you. You also have a good heart, and that was enough to help you. Do not look so surprised. I am a Jedi i could feel your plan." Raven smiled at the group and walked to Cy's ship. "You coming young one?" he asked Levant.

"You what?" Catri hissed. She glared at the Jedi. She clenched her fists and it seemed like every muscle in her body tensed at that moment. Noone messed with her ship.

Bowdaar moved behind Catri and gently grabbed onto her arms. It was hard to tell whether he was trying to calm her down or trying to keep her from pouncing at the Jedi like her ship's namesake. Catri visibly relaxed after he bent his head to whisper something in her ear. Then he loosened his grip and moved his hands to rest on her shoulders.

"Raven, I appreciate your concern and your help fighting Soryn's men," Catri said "But I can't let you put your life on the line fighting my family's fight, and I certainly can't drag new people in who were not involved in any of this in the first place.  Now please return my nav chip, and we'll be on our way."

Raven turned and smiled real big. He new this was coming. Messing with her ship, would be like messing with his lightsaber. "One, it is my job to risk my life. I am a Jedi. For now any way. They are Jedi as well. So, they did not want to miss out on the fun. I think the new guy is dieing to use his lightsaber. Two, you need are help. So like it or not. We are coming with you. Ohh. Three, it will be three days till you get it back. I ate it." Raven turned and headed for the ship. Jen stuck her head out the door. "Are we leaving? Or are we fighting here. If so i want in, and i get Corrin. I owe him for what he said in the cantina." She smiled and ducked back in to the ship. Raven stopped and turned. " Come on. You can yell at me on the way there. It will be like a family space trip. I will even get Jen to ask, if we are there yet." He smiled and entered the ship.

Levant timidly raised his hand. "I have something to say on this actually. Raven is not the only one who's under probation right now. There's a republic arrest warrant out for the entire crew of the Wildcat." Reaching into his pocket he tossed a datapad containing the details to Catri. "It seems both you and Raven managed to attract some attention pretty high up in the food chain. In fact the only reason you're being allowed off Tython is that you're travelling with Jedi."

Levant moved to the ramp of the ship. "The Jedi are not the republic's puppets, but there are those who seem to have an interest in getting you out of the way. It took me hours to negotiate this much. Now this is my first assignment as a Jedi knight, and if you refuse to come along I 'have' to try and detain you and given the size of your Wookie friend I'd likely end up stuffed in a plasteel canister and I really hate cramped spaces. So I'll use my diplomatic charms to emplore you to just get on the ship and we'll sort the rest out as we go. This seems to go higher up in the republic then you think, someone is pulling strings. Let the Jedi help you find out who."

Bowdaar laughed at the plasteel canister comment, but his face showed a similar look of concern like the ones displayed by the other two smugglers.

"Well, Cat, I'm impressed. It looks like you're getting quite a reputation. What did you smuggle that got the government's attention?" Corrin said as he followed Catri, Bowdaar, and Levant up the ramp.

"That's a good point." Catri called to Levant "What did your report say were the grounds for the charge? Corrin here regularly engages in all sorts of filthy brigandry..."

"Thanks a lot,Cat."

" Just telling it like it is."

"True. I've probably earned myself several warrants in my uncle's employ"

"Anyway," Catri said turning back to Levant "I don't know what Bowdaar and I could have done to earn the attention of higher level government. Sure, some of our cargo isn't exactly legal, but it's mostly essential supplies or harmless comfort items that we don't exactly inform customs about. We don't deal in spice or slaves, and we avoid weapons when we can."

The landing ramp raised up and the hum of the thrusters fired from the Interceptor as it pulled away from the hangar, the transponder flashing a randomly generated ID to the orbiting security forces as they cleared the atmosphere.  With a few flicked switches, Cy ripped free of Tython's gravity well, hit the first hyperspace lane and high tailed it out of Jedi controlled space.  "T-7, plot our usual course, stand by for nav points."   It may have been complete paranoia, or the simple fact that he did not trust the Jedi Council on Tython, but he had a good habit of making sure he was impossible to follow, of course that would have to change now that Levant was on board.

He turned in his chair, facing the assembled group on his ship.  "Where will I set course to?"  Not that he really cared, he seemed to be comfortable just drifting along with the tides...

Once they were all on board and the ship had cleared the atmosphere, Raven went to fill Cy in on their destination. Levant figured it would be an appropriate time to answer Catri with less ears around. "Well according to the warrant, there's quite the list actually. We have a few accounts of harboring fugitives, treason, multiple counts of theft, extortion, there's even a report in here saying you placed a hit on a one 'Soryn Vel'. You're also to be detained regarding the where abouts of your brothers who are also fugitives."

Turning he looked at Catri, Bowdaar and Corrin. "Most of these charges haven't been validated of course, that and being with Jedi is the only reason you're free to walk around right now. The same pressure that's on you has also been put on Raven, Jen and by proximity Cyrian. Once the council got wind you were headed to Tython, there were some on the council who wanted to have you arrested and detained on landing. You're fortunate the Jedi are not all puppets of higher masters or jailers for the republic. I'm basically here to determine if the charges stand, or at least if the Jedi are going to do anything about it. Well that and I have to keep an eye on my fellow Jedi. If I find them unbecoming of the order, they could be facing exile or imprisonment."

Looking through the corridors of the ship he saw the most likely way to the cargo hold. "I'm here to represent the council and find the truth. I'm sure you're all thrilled to have me here. But I do have my uses and I'll keep my investigation private from you all so you don't get distracted. Now, if anyone needs me I'll be in the cargo hold." Levant was pretty uncomfortable at this point. He really didn't like having to act like some bastion of morality especially on the councils behalf.

It was heavy news for them to absorb but it would hopefully keep them occupied for the trip. He knew the Jedi on board didn't trust him, he needed to make sure the smugglers didn't trust him either. He needed space. Space that only distrust could build. The charges were phony, Levant knew it. While he was here to keep an eye on Jedi interests he was also on the hunt for something else. Corruption in the Jedi order. Finding proof against on Raven or Cyrian was one thing. Finding ties between criminals and members of the council would be another.

The cargo hold wasn't massive, in fact it was a little cramped, but it was private. Pulling some electronics out of his back pack he began to set up in the back corner. Alright strings, lets see where you go.

Raven got to the cockpit, and sat down in the copilot set. He calmed heself. He let the force flow through him. With his mind he told Cy. "Sorry i got you into this mess. Set course for Nar Shadaa. I think Master Houseman is behind this. I think he is in it with the Vel Family. We are walking into a trap. If any thing happens to me. I want you to take Jen to her home planet. I will give you it's location. You are to never tell any one where it is. I ask this of you because you are my last Jedi friend. I fell this mission will go bad. I can fill it it in the Force.

Cyrian heard Raven speaking in his mind, but he definitely did not understand what Raven was thinking behind those words.  A few more flicks of the switches and they were on a hot route to their destination, after that he turned back to Raven "I am here because it is the will of Ashla, and she would not lead us into this blindly.  We are tools of the Force,  Raven, never forget that." He gave Raven a pat on the shoulder and turned back to look out the transparisteel cockpit, lost somewhere in his own mind once more.

"Well we're good and farkled now. First your uncle chases us down, and now we're fugitives from the Republic?" Catri shouted "How in the nine Corellian Hells did the Republic pin all of that on us? Now granted, Javin's not always been known to be too careful about background checking his contacts, but he'd never accept a job that looked too shady. And Bow and I are real careful about double checking anything or anyone that boards the Wildcat. We may have unknowingly harbored a fugitive or transported goods for a customer who was none to honest about their ownership, but there's no kriffin way we're guilty of extortion or treason. And as if that isn't bad enough, I can't even warn my family. "

Bowdaar caught Catri's wrist to prevent her from breaking her hand as she tried to take a swing at the wall of the ship. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders to keep her still until she calmed down.

"Settle down, Cat, before you hurt yourself." Corrin said "Even a glitted up nerf could see those charges are fake. There's no way anyone can make them hold up in court. I'm more concerned with finding out who would want you and your family out of the way bad enough to frame you. It must have been someone with a lot of power."

"Ohwo raanan whwowowa."

"You're right, Bow. We could use some sleep." Catri said. The three smugglers headed off to look for the spare bunks.

Levant had set up a holo-display of all the 'players' that were caught up in this web. He had been staring at it for so long it felt like his eyes were on fire. His focus was shot. There was only one person who could get a warrant out that fast, the Republic  Minister of justice, though it was possible that anyone who worked under him could've pushed it through. There was no reason to do so unless Catri knew something, or maybe her brothers knew something, maybe Catri was just leverage to get them out of hiding. There were more questions then answers. Who ever was pulling all these strings had their fingers in many affairs, from the Jedi order to smugglers.

Leaning back Levant stretched his arms and rubbed his eyes. He needed to clear his head and meditate on it. Relaxing his body and taking a few deep breaths, he drifted into a deep trance. Trying to solve things through meditation was a little like waiting for the puzzle pieces to place themselves, even still it was a clearer view then he had.

He could hear the voices of the people travelling with him, distant echoes of from their past. Focusing his thoughts to the senate on Coruscant the waves of the force grew restless, there was something at work behind the scene's. The empire? he thought. Shaking off the negative vibe, he switched his focus to Catri and saw something unexpected. Pazzak cards. Not in her head, more like a residual energy, something important left behind from someone she was close to, an event maybe. It was crucial enough for the force to revleal it so there had to be some importance to it.

Switching to her friend Corrin, Levant was hit by feelings of hopelessness, fear, his hands felt bound. He could hear the voices of slaves calling out. The feeling was unbearable. Levant had no patience for slavers given what happened to his home planet, but at least Corrin was ridden with guilt. Eventually the sounds became too much and broke him from his meditation. He jerked backwards nearly knocking over a crate. With a sigh he put his head in his hands and gave his eyes another wipe. "If I don't get out of this cargo hold I'm going to lose my mind" he said to himself as he stood and walked out into the ship.

It was quiet. He could only assume everyone else was sleeping. Walking towards the bridge he sensed Raven and Cyrian were still in the cockpit. Stepping in behind them he saw they were still in hyperspace. "Well I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping to see Nar shadaa when I walked in here. I don't do well in cramped spaces, makes it so much harder to focus." Turning Levant looked at the astrogation charts. "So do we have any information on this slave ring? I prefer to know a little about people that are shooting at me."

Raven turned to the young Jedi. "Hello shadow. Well he is bad guy. We are good guys. So, we stop bad guy. I thought they teach this stuff at the temple." He turned to Cy and smiled. He then turned on the ship's com system. "OK, NAP TIME OVER! EVERY ONE TO THE LOUNGE!" He then got up. "Come on shadow. You may learn some thing." Then he made his way to the lounge. As he got there he could see every one entering. They all looked very sleepy. "Good morning all. We will be to Nar Shardaa soon. So, here is my plain. First, sorry big guy you will have to stay on the ship. Cat, Corrin, you will dress as Jedi. With the hood up it will be hard to identify you. When we land, Me and Corrin will check out his uncle's place. Catri and the rest will get the equipment, we will need to get in. We will meet up at the Drunken Jedi cantina, and go from there. dose any one have any thing they want to add?" Raven turned to the group. He could see the look on Catri and Corrin's face. He had forgot that they did not know they where coming to Nar Shadaa. This will be good.

"Nar Shadaa?" Catri shouted " Are you out of your fracking mind? What in the Nine Hells led you to believe that this would be a good idea? You don't know the kind of psychotic schutta-spawn you're dealing with. Only a full-feathered lunatic would walk right up to Soryn's compound and knock on the door."

"Catri's right. My uncle is seven kinds of crazy." Corrin said
" He spends his spare time studying forms of torture and he tries them out on people who 'annoy him.' We've crossed him,and if he catches us he'll kill all of us slowly just to watch us die. But, blaster-brained as this idea may be, Raven's right. We don't have any other choice. " Bowdaar and Catri stared at Corrin in shock.

"Rooohu schucao rhwo shooorahwhrr!"

"I'm dead serious, Bow, well hopefully not too dead. We can't keep running from him forever. He'll catch us eventually. I have help now. I may as well face him and get it over with. Catri's staying on the ship with Bowdaar, though." Corrin said

"Like hell I am! There's no way you're going down there without me."

"Ro wwrcahwowhwac rarcwo ahwh warawhrrworc." Bowdaar pointed to his friends and then to himself as he spoke.

"I should have known Cat would be too stubborn for her own good. Unfortunately, you have to stay, Bow. You'd draw too much attention and give us away for sure." Corrin said.

Bowdaar pulled Corrin into a quick hug and then he wrapped his arms around Catri. "Rhwo oararcwowwhuanrawhwa aoraorwo oararcwo ooww"

"Trust me Bow. I'll be careful, and I'll make sure she comes back to you in one piece." Corrin said.

Catri clung to her friend for a few minutes burying her face in his fur. It was bitterly ironic that she had Soryn Vel to thank for introducing her to him.

"It'll be alright, Bow. We're ending this now. Nothing will happen to me or to Corrin." She said trying to sound as if she believed any of it. She pulled away and turned to the group of Jedi.

"Is there anything else you need to know about the filthy son of a rancor?" Catri asked. She pulled her Pazaak deck out of her pocket and began to shuffle it nervously.

Cy moved from the pilots seat and followed Raven into the lounge where he slid his hands into the sleeves of his robes and leaned against the wall, tilting his head back slightly as he listened to the goings on.  The way he reacted to the news of their assignment could probably be considered pure apathy, he really did not seem to have any personal feelings in this matter at all, he was simply here because the Force told him to be.

Ashla reached out through him, soaking into the auras of his guests, most specifically Levant.  Cy knew he could not trust most members of the council for they thought they wielded the Force, he knew in his heart it was the other way around, they were merely tools, but he was quite curious about this young Knight who seemed to dwell in turmoil and confusion.

When Catri pulled the pazaak deck from her pocket, Levant was fixed on it. While shuffling the deck he saw something, a figure standing behind Catri. A father or a brother maybe, it had to have something to do with the cards he saw earlier. Things were slowly taking shape in Levants mind. A game of pazaak, a ship, and a male figure. Levant wasn't sure how to go about getting the answers he needed. The Wildcat crew was supposed to be his secondary assignment, but until he caught a glimpse of Raven, Jen, and Cy in a different setting he was stuck on that front. Plus getting information off of non force users was a lot easier then finding anything on Jedi.

He could feel one of this Jedi 'companions' staring him down through the force. Levant was well read in on the histories of Raven and Jen, but Cyrian was still a little unknown to him. Besides knowing that Cy and the council didn't have the greatest history with one another, he knew little about him. Not that it mattered, he was instructed not to trust any of them. Cy being anonymus made him dangerous to Levant. It was much harder to predict the movements of someone you don't know, there would be no piece of mind for him while he was on this ship.

Snapping back he realized Catri had asked a question and he should answer before she assumed they were travelling with a complete moron. "I have no issue in securing slicing gear, grenades, recon equipment, even a permacrete detonator or two but I feel I need to put this out there. He sounds like a careful man. Is it possible he already knows we're coming? There won't be enough Jedi trickery in the force to save us from walking straight into a trap."

Catri slipped the pazaak deck back into her pocket. She smiled as her hand brushed against the homing device Bowdaar had slipped under her belt when he hugged her.

"I 'm pretty sure he doesn't know we're coming. " Catri said

"I'm not so sure about that." Corrin said, his brow wrinkled with concern.

"Do you honestly think he would expect us to be stupid enough to walk right into his compound? Last he heard of us we were high tailing it to parts unknown, and with my family gone we'd have no reason to return to Nar Shadaa for a long time." Catri replied.

"You're probably right, but I've got ...I don't know...a bad feeling about all of this." Corrin saw the puzzled look on Catri's face "I know, I know, I said Raven's plan was a good idea, and I still think it's better than hiding. But things have been strange lately. Growing up I always thought my uncle was a crazy thug who ran a small- time crime syndicate, but I'm not sure if he's as small time as I thought he was. He gets strange calls from highly encrypted sources, and he sometimes disappears for weeks on end without telling anyone where he's going. I'm not so sure what he knows anymore."

Raven looked at Corrin. "That is why you and I will check things out first. We are all most their. So, you better get ready." Raven turned to head for the cockpit. "Master i do not like this. I feel something dark coming." Jen looked at her Master. Raven turned back to her and smiled. "That is why we must go. We are Jedi, It is what we do." Just remember the seven Thing to being a good Jedi, and you will be fine." She smiled at him, as he turned and walked away.

The ship dropped out of hyperdrive. Everyone stopped and moved up into the cockpit. The smuggler's moon was glowing in full view of the star ship. The moon was lit up from pole to pole. It was hard to believe a planet could be so filled with people. Levant had seen Coruscant before, but this seemed different. Levant could feel it in the force, it was somehow desperate like it was caught in a constant struggle. Cy moved back into the pilots chair and began descent into the atmoshpere of the moon.

There were speeders flying in all directions. Cyrian was careful not to get too close to draw attention to the ship. Levant was studying the landmarks and the layout of the sector as they came in for landing. He was a little nervous, it was his first time on a city planet.

The landing pad was filthy and covered in dust and trash. They were fortunate to find a landing pad somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of the sector. Levant walked to the edge and leaned over slightly. It seemed to go on forever. "So, what's on the bottom?" Levant asked. He was only half serious about it, but it was still curious to him. Did all the poeple on this moon just forget there was a ground here at some point.

Levant walked back to the group. "Well from what I saw on the way down, I'm likely to get lost at some point." Walking back towards the the street he turned around. "Raven, I would appreciate if you allowed Jen to accompany us. I would like to observe her in a setting where I can say you had no influence over her decisions. It is your choice however." Levant was baiting him slightly. He wanted to test their bond somewhat. To see how willing they were to be away from one another.

Catri looked around at  the chaos that was Nar Shadaa and smiled. Many lifeforms said it was filthy, crime ridden,  and dangerous, and in all fairness they were right. Regardless, it was home. At least here most of the dangers were familiar dangers. She knew which streets to avoid unless she brought her brothers, and she knew which of the many criminals who inhabited the moon to avoid as well. Unfortunately, she had ticked off one of the craziest.

"Good to be home." Corrin said

"I wish the circumstances were different." Catri replied. Corrin placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry. Everything's gonna be ok." Then Corrin turned to Raven. "Alright, what's the plan from here?"

Raven smiled at Corrin. "We go and check out your uncle's place. The rest go for the equipment we will need to get in." With that said he raised his hood up. Turning to Jen he said. " You go with Levant." She bowed. " As you wish Master. May the Force be with you." Raven smiled. "May the Force be with us all." He turned and started on his way. Corrin would point or nod, to show witch way to go. It was almost night time when they got to the compound. It was surrounded by a force wall. The front had Ten men guarding it. There where men also walking the wall. Raven and Corrin moved to the back. Their was a gate with only three men. "Come on." Raven told Corrin. "What? Are you crazy." "I just want a closer look. Trust me." With this said. They moved in closer. Raven used the force to make the men think they heard some thing. They moved away form the gate and them. Raven garbed Corrin and with Force speed they where inside. They where just in the court yard when Corrin stepped on a pressure plate. Alarms went off. Red lights where flashing. Raven could hear foot step of many men coming at them. " Tell the others, It is a trap. They knew we where coming." Then Raven used the Force to throw Corrin over the wall. He turned and ignited his lightsabers. Then the court yard filled with men. At lest a hundred men had guns on him. Then Raven saw him Soryn Vel. He was walking through the men clapping his hands. "Good work Jedi Miles. You walked right into my trap." He smiled real big. "Now lay down your weapons and come with me." Raven looked around. He could not win this fight. "In the name of the Republic, Soryn Vel you are under arrest." "Ha ha ha, you are a bold one. This is your last chance." Then Soryn raised his hand. Raven could feel it in the Force. They wanted him alive. He shut down his lightsabers and placed them on the ground. Three men moved up to him. They placed shock binders on him. One of them picked up the lightsabers and took the to Soryn. He cliped them to his belt. "Bring him." They went inside the complex. As they moved in deeper, It hit Raven like a wall. He could no longer feel the force. Soryn stopped and turned to Raven. He hit him right in the face. "That is what pain is without your Force. My partner let me know you where coming. He also let me know How to deal with you." He pulled out a small Holo projector and hit play. A image of Master Housemen appeared on it. " The Jedi are coming for you i will send you some data to help you. But i want Padawan Jen Sim alive. You can kill the rest." The image disappeared and Soryn put the projector back into his belt. "So now i have some new pets." He pointed to the walls. On the walls was a pipe line that looked like it ran through the whole complex. Inside the pipes where a lizards like animals. The Ysalamiri. They could make voids in the Force, and if this place was filled with them. Then no Jedi could use the Force here. "So now we see what a Jedi is with out the Force." They started back down the hall. After a few minutes, the came to a room with chains on the wall. The smell of blood and decay, was stronger here. The me chained Raven up. He was at the center of the room. He could move his arms for now, but it looked like the chains could left him off the ground. "Where are your friends?" Raven said nothing. Soryn pulled out small box with a rd button on it. "where?" Raven said nothing. Soryn pushed the button. Blue light surrounded Raven. Raven felt the shock, and could smell his skin burning. He fell to his knees screaming in pain. Then it was over. Raven climbed up to his feet. "Where?" Raven would not let him win. "In the name of the Republic. Soryn Vell you are under arrest." Then Raven was shocked again. As raven got to his feet, Soryn smiled. "You will be fun to test. How much can you take Jedi. Tintin!" Then a human man came into the room. He was three time the size of Raven. "Tintin make him undersand. Tintin walked up to Raven and hit him in the gut. Rave felt ribs break as he hit the ground. "Polite courtesy." Raven said as he got to his feet. Tintin hit him again. "Compassion" Tintin hit him again. "Complete sincerity" He was hit again. "Honesty and justice." He was hit again. "duty and loyalty." He was hit again. "Courage." He was hit again. "Honor." He was hit again. All Raven could do way lay there. "This is what i live by. You will not break me." Soryn hit a button on the wall and Raven was raised into the air. "Is that so?" Soryn waled up to Raven. He walked around behind him. He then turned on Raven's lightsaber. He held it close to Raven's back. Raven screamed out in pain as the skin on his back began to burn. "Have you ever cut some ones arm or leg off, with this lightsaber?" With that said he brought the lightsaber down across Raven's forarm. Cutting right through it. Raven screamed as he hit the floor. "Give the Jedi a hand. Ha ha ha ha. Take him to the Med bay. Get him a new arm. Buy no drugs. I want to see how much more he can take." Tintin grabbed Raven by the neck and dragged him out of the room. Soryn followed. Raven was placed in a chair as a Med Droid began putting on a new arm. As raven was screaming. Soryn was laughing. He liked to see Raven in pain. At last the pain was to much and Raven passed out.

As Jen was walking with the other she felt it. She fell to her knees. "No. Raven.... Master Raven is dead.He was their in the force and now he is gone." About that time Corrin Joined the group. "We got a big problem."

Catri knelt beside Jen when she sunk to the ground and wrapped an arm her shoulders. Then she heard Corrin's voice behind her.

"We got a big problem."

"A dead Jedi-sized problem, Corrin? 'Cause according to Jen Raven can't be felt in the Force anymore." Catri said.

"Frack, I didn't think they'd kill him this quickly." Corrin said. "Soryn knew we were coming...I don't know how...but he knew. I tripped an alarm when we walked into the compound's courtyard. Raven threw me over the wall and told me to come find you."

Levant was carrying some thermal charges he had picked up from a shady Chagrian across the way. He saw Jen drop to her knees and could feel her distress. Quickly he ran back to the group to hear what was going on. She was em-pathing sorrow, Levant could feel like and he was sure Cyrian could to. Corrin explained the situation of what happened.

It was strange to see a Jedi, even a padawan, fall apart like that. Levant knew he was supposed to be here watching for signs like this. But right now he couldn't bring himself to be the stern voice of the council. He knew what it was like to be a padawan, to be lost without guidance. Kneeling down in front of Jen he tried to bring her back. "Padawan control your emotions. This is why the council sent me here, they worry your bond could distract you at a key moment. Prove them wrong. Prove you can maintain yourself." His voice was stern but engaged. She needed to pull out of this if they were going to find answers. Slowly Jen looked up at Levant and nodded. "Good. Now we need to know if Raven is truly dead. Just because you lost his voice in the force doesn't mean his presence is gone." Levant stood and looked around at the mobs of sentients that were all over this moon. "Nar'shadaa is too populated for me or Cyrian to get a clear view. You know Raven, you are close to him. Use your bond and search for him. Over here." Levant said motioning the group to go into a near by alley way.

Everyone stepped out of the street and into the alley. At least they would be less exposed. Jen knelt down and dropped into a meditative stance. Any Jedi could see she was struggling a little, but for a padawan she was doing fine. The echo of life on a city planet was hard for any force sensitive to deal with. While she was searching for Raven in the force the others were looking at the gear they had gathered so far. Suddenly she woke with a gasp. "I felt him! He's in pain, but I know it's him." She was very excited. Mostly because she managed to find her master, but in part because she grew a little as a Jedi.

Levant looked out of the alley through the crowd of people. "Well then, we need a plan. If Soryn set a trap for us, I say we return the favor. This all seems to go higher then just smuggling, which means as far as the people behind this are concerned we're all better off dead." Pulling out a permacrete detonator Levant looked down at it and sighed. He knew this was going to take a lot of quick acting on everyones part.

"What do you have in mind?" Jen asked anxious to get to rescuing her master.

"Well it may be suicidal on my part but with this many explosives, I think I can distract them. Not sure for how long but hopefully long enough for you to get inside and get Raven out. I'll place the permacrete detonator on the wall, after the bang that thing will make they'll pour out of there like I kicked a mynock's nest. Once they're after me, you should be able to slip inside and handle what ever or who ever is still left in there." Levant turned back to the group and shrugged a little. "I may need a favor though. While you're in there I would appreciate someone taking the time to download Soryn's files onto this" He said tossing Catri an empty datapad. "I need that data for the council, If something happens I'll need you to make sure it gets to the council Cyrian. I know you're not a huge fan but there are still members of the council who can be trusted." Levant said grabbing the back sack full of explosives and grenades. "If anyone would like to volunteer to help me lead Soryn's guards around I would welcome it, but I do not expect it. Either way, the Jedi look after their own and we're not leaving until we go in there and get Raven back."

Levant knew the risks. He knew he probably wouldn't be able to keep the chase going long. But he knew they had few options. Raven may not have much time left.

"I think I can give you a hand with that, Jedi."

Catri and Corrin turned to look at the newcomer. A blue male Duros had slipped into the entrance of the alley while the group was talking. He had a blaster at each side and a bag of medical supplies slung over his shoulder.

"Monty! I thought you left the planet with Dad and the boys." Catri said as she stood up to hug the Duros.

"Good to see you're still keeping up with a regular breathing schedule, Kitten." Monty said "I promised your brother Andros I would wait here to warn you in case Corrin couldn't find you in time. Bowdaar called me as soon as you left the ship and gave me access to the readouts of the tracking devices he planted on you and Corrin. Don't look so shocked, Corrin. He would never have let either of you come here without knowing he could do something to protect you. "

Catri pulled away from Monty and turned to introduce him to the rest of the group.

"This is Levant, Cyrian, and Jen. They came to help us take Soryn down." Catri pointed to each Jedi as she said their names. "Everyone, this is Monty. He runs a clinic near my dad's shop. He gave me my first job and taught me everything I know about patching people up."

"Okay, Cat, enough with the introductions." Corrin said " We need to move fast. My uncle is up to no good."

"What else is new?" Monty snorted

"I mean something worse than usual." Corrin replied

Cy also felt Raven drop out of the Force, but as Levant said, he had no chance of finding anything with all these people around so he moved out a few feet and began to wander is circles around their remaining party.  Ashla flowed around him as he tried to see the teeth of the trap springing but he could not find anything at all, not a single threat.

Once Levant began to speak to Jen, Cy snapped his head back and watched the Jedi challenge her to regain control, smiling slightly at the wisdom of his words, perhaps there was hope yet. When Levant was done vocalizing his plan, Cy tilted his head in acknowledgement and spoke quietly. "The files will get to the Council, for that is the will of Ashla, trust in men is not needed."

He slid his hands into the sleeves of his robes and gave a sharp nod to Monty as he was introduced, he then tilted his head back is if he were smelling something.. something other then a back alley on Nar Shaddaa that is.

The group was getting ready to move when Levant noticed Cyrian was standing still. Growing up with Jedi, it was a look he knew well. He caught a disturbance in the force, they were being hunted. It wasn't long until Levant could feel it to. A pair of bounty hunters armed to the teeth. Looking around the alley Levant realised they were in a very vunrable position. If they returned to the street the civilians would be in danger, if they stayed in the alley they were in a bottle neck. Luckily he wasn't the only one who was thinking about how to proceede as the group started to move deeper into the alley ways.

It wasn't long until the bounty hunters were in hot pursuit. At least the group had the advantage of the alley's being a maze on Nar shaddaa. They were all well trained, in different ways but enough that even if they got seperated they could manage on their own for a while. Blaster bolts scattering through the alley were deflected by Cyrian as the others ran ahead before returning fire to cover. They needed to turn the tables before the bounty hunters landed a hit.

"Give us the padawan, and maybe we'll let the rest of you live." The male bounty hunter shouted down the alley.

As they ran Levant saw it. A small nook in the alley on his right. While Catri and Corrin returned a few shots with thier blasters, Levant jumped into it. Cyrian nodded and ran forward with the group. If they could get someone behind them the momentum would shift. They had a better chance boxing them in and neutralizing the threat.

Levant lay crouching in wait waiting for the perfect time. The bounty hunters didn't see Levant until it was too late. With a push of the force they both hit the wall. Stunned for a moment they looked up to see the group charging at them weapons drawn, Levant walking out to block their retreat. The fight was on. The bounty hunters were well equipped, but they had lost the bottleneck and were out numbered.

OOC- Someone else can finish this fight if they'd like. Just know Levant isn't that good with a lightsaber, other than that 6vs2 the odds are in our favour :p

Monty hit one of the bounty hunters with a volley of stun blasts from his blasters. Catri grazed the other bounty hunter's arm. She didn't knock him out, but she distracted him long enough for Corrin to hit him on the back of the head with his blaster.

"Well that was interesting." Monty said "I see you've had time to make friends, Catri. Want to tell me what that was all about?"

"I'm not entirely certain. They seemed to want Jen. We should find somewhere to keep them until we get Raven out of Soryn's compound. Then we can ask them to join us for a game of truth or dare." Catri said

"We could stow them in the clinic if all of you can help me get them there. I brought Fluffy over from your Dad's shop. He can keep an eye one them while we're gone." Monty said.

"You want to leave them with Fluffy?" Corrin said "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"It's a great idea, Corrin. I'll make sure his orders about death and dismemberment are specific enough. He listens to me." Catri said

Cyrian's twin lightsabers whipped around in mad arcs as he deflected the incoming blaster bolts, he dropped himself fully into the Force, easily predicting the speed and angle of every shot fired their way. He was far too busy playing defense to worry about stopping the shooting, so he was quite glad when Catri and Corrin finished off the fight in prompt fashion. He gave a quick salute to Levant for the good planning and those lightsabers were powered down and tucked safely into his robes.  "Well played..."   He turned back to Catri and Corrin "Is this.. Fluffy to be trusted? These men must live to be interrogated.. "

"Fluffy's a might eccentric...."

"Fluffy's out of his karking mind, that's what he is" Corrin said cutting Catri off. He winced when Catri lightly smacked the back of his head.

"As I was saying, Fluffy's a might eccentric, but I trust him with my life. He's a gun droid my dad picked up from a trader when I was a kid. Dad and Andros fixed him up, and he's been part of the family ever since. Now, he can be a bit impulsive sometimes, but he's nothing if not loyal. He'll keep these two alive if I tell him to." Catri said.

With the Bounty hunters incapacitated, Levant deactivated his lightsaber and latched it back onto his belt. Looking down he saw a questionable stain on his cloak he must've picked up when he crouched in the alley. He scrubbed it with his knuckles a little and scoffed. "My first assignment isn't quite as glamorous as I'd hoped." He walked over to the Bounty hunter closest to him. "While I am less than comforted about brining these two to 'Fluffy' we don't seem to have any other choice at the moment. Plus I'll do anything to get out of this alley, the stench is unbearable. Jen grab his legs." Levant said lifting the man from his shoulders.

With Levant and Jen carrying one, and Cyrian and Corrin carrying the other, Catri and Monty lead the way through the alley as long as possible. Eventually they were out of alley and had to cross out into the street. Levant was nervous. "Is there no other way? Someone's bound to notice us dragging two bodies across the street."

Monty let out a short chuckle. "On Nar Shaddaa people won't even give it a second thought. We're close to the clinic anyways." Monty was right. No one seemed to care about what they were seeing. A group of aliens standing and laughing stopped for maybe half a second before returning to their conversation, the rest just walked right past. They were just trying to survive here, but Levant couldn't help but feel it was somewhat cold for anyone to just ignore possible injustice.

Crossing the street the group arrived at the clinic, with Monty opening the doors he then directed them to some steel tables with restraint cuffs. As the others took off the bounty hunters armor and weapons and strapped them down, they noticed the metal clank of foot steps approaching from a back room. Levant looked up at Catri. "I take it that's Fluffy? You should know that I'd prefer we didn't torture these two. Intimidation is one thing, but torture, I won't take part in anything like that."

Jen could no longer hear the conversation. All she could focus on was the rush of pain and emotion. It was her Master. She could feel him in the Force. It was not gentail. It was like a explosion. One second he was not their and the next he was.

Raven woke in the med bay. It took him a moment to realize he could feel the Force. He also realized that he was letting Jen feel his pain. He calmed him self. He had to worn them. He focus and let her hear one word. "Ysalamiri"  "Ok Time to get out of here." Then Raven turned to the door. He filled himself with the Force. The with a huge force push the doors crashed out into the hall. Alarms went offand red lights flashed. Raven ran out into the hall to see two guards with Blasters at the ready. Raven forced pulled one to him. The other down the hall. Then he took aim and fired two times. The guards dropped to the ground with holes in their heads. Raven was half way down the hall. When the Force left him again. Then his body was filled with blue light. He fell to the ground in pain. he was wearing a shock colare. Soryn came walking down the hall. "That was a bit dark for a Jedi." said as he was laughing. " Eat Bantha podo" Raven replied.
Jen looked back at the group. She could no longer fell her master. But now she knew why. She looked at Catri. " Soryn is getting Jedi help. He has Ysalamiri. That is why i can fell Master Miles some times. He has taken the force away from him. This is bad. I fell that Master Houseman is helping Soryn."

" Who are the Ysalmari? Is that a new street gang?" Catri asked The clanking noise had been getting louder. Just then a door in the back of the room burst open to reveal an assassin droid. His sleek humanoid form had a shiny green hue, and the eyepieces on his somewhat triangular faceplate glowed silver. He was pointing a rather large blaster rifle at the group.

"Warning: Intruders will leave immediately or face consequences including but not limited to disintegration and slow dismemberment." the droids metallic voice boomed "Warning: This is your final chance to surrender...." Catri darted out from the middle of the group so that Fluffy could see her clearly.

"Easy, Fluffy, it's us, see?" Catri said pointing out Corrin and Monty " The others are some friends."

"Query: Mistress Catri, do the life forms on the tables require medical attention? Shall I call Zippy to assist with the medical treatment?"

"No, Fluff, they're not hurt. They attacked us in an alley..."

"Gorramit, Cat!" Corrin exclaimed

Before Catri could finish her sentence Fluffy had bolted to the tables and raised his blaster.

" Exclamation: You lifeforms have attacked my family! I will blast you into a charred heap of carbon!"

Catri jumped in front of Fluffy and grabbed his arms.

"We need them alive, Fluffy. No death, no disintegration, no dismemberment. Just make sure they don't escape." Catri said

"Query: Are you certain, Mistress? These lifeforms may be dangerous. Are you hurt? Are Master Corrin and Master Monty hurt? Zippy! We require your assistance!" The sound of a medical droid approaching from one of the back rooms could be heard.

"Everything's fine here, Zippy, go back to sleep." Monty called out. The droid turned around and returned to her previous location. "Take it easy, Fluffy, before you blow a circuit board. In all the years you've know me do you think I'd let Cat and Corrin walk in here injured without treating them first thing?"

"Statement: No, You would not. Forgive me. Now, if you will all follow me, you will be safer in the back room." Fluffy began to walk toward the door.

"We're not staying, Fluffy. We just came to drop these two off before we go to Soryn's compound." Catri said

"Astonished query: Mistress, why are you going to Soryn Vel's compound? It is quite dangerous. He wishes to kill you and the rest of our family."

"Soryn captured a friend of ours. We need to get him out of there."

"Demand: You will remain here, Mistress. It is too dangerous."

"I'm not a youngling anymore, Fluffy" Catri said.

"Statement: I promised Master Jorel I would protect his younglings, and you have not grown beyond my ability to apply non-lethal corporal punishment, Young Mistress."

"Like your really going to give her a spanking, bolt brain, I'd love to see that" Corrin laughed.

"I don't want to run from him forever, Fluffy. We need to end this now." Catri said.

"Affectionate request: Be careful....both of you." Fluffy said glancing between Catri and Corrin.

"Don't worry Fluff, we'll be fine." Corrin said.

Jen walked up to Catri and haded her her lightsaber. "here hold this." then she started to strap blasters and knifes to her body. "Ysalmari, Make a void in the Force. If you have many of this lizard like things. You can make it where a Jedi can not use the Force. Raven has been cut off from the force and has had to deal with that and who know what . I am going to go and get him. They want me. Ok, they will get me. But they will not like it. I know Cy is coming with me. The Force put him here for that reason. Cat, it is the will of the Force for you to come as well. As for you." She turned on Levant. " I am no ordinary Padawan. In case you have not noticed i am a lot older then you. Too old to still be a Padawn. So, here is the short story. Raven found me and saved me. I have been trained as a Jedi. But not by a Knight that was in the order. So, the Council placed me as Raven's Padawan. So, Stop treating me like a school girl. I know more about the Force then you. You can put that in your report to the Council. If they would spend more time trying to help the people in the republic, and less riding Raven's and my ass. Maybe the people would be better off. Me and Raven's Force bond is strong. That scars the Council. But are bond makes us stronger when we are together. Cat, call Bowdaar. Tell him to start a bombing run on Syron's complex." The she walked for the door.

Levant was a little taken back by Jen's outburst. But he'd also seen enough to know that he couldn't abide her outburst. Reaching through he forced the door to shut before Jen could cross it.

"You wish to stop being treated like a school girl then stop acting like one. Perhaps you do know the force but you have no idea what it is to be Jedi and your actions are reflecting that. Anger, impatience, fear. You wonder why the council hounds you? Because they can't afford to have Jedi running around the galaxy causing more harm than good. Your force bond with your master is as much a weakness as a strength. You want to charge off and start a smuggler war on a planet that we have no control over. Instead of doing anything covertly you'd risk open conflict." He said stepping to the strapped down bounty hunters.

"You're correct, you are no ordinary padawan, you are a flawed padawan. You're already on the path to the darkside." With another wave of his hand the door re-opened. "I will not stop you. Bowdaar can start blasting the complex and bring the whole thing down around Raven's ears. You're risking war with the Hutts. I will have no part of an open bombing run where civilians could be hurt." Levant said crossing his arms.

Jen with an impressive scowl kept walking out of the building. Levant called out to her. "You should know you've crossed a terrible line this day. The council will not forget your zeal." With Jen storming off Levant turned to the others. "You should all probably get going, it seems you have a battle to fight. I'll secure my own way back to Tython with the prisoners. It seems my mission here is complete. The council will have questions about your involvement in what ever happens at Soryn's compound Cyrian. You should prepare yourself for the storm that's going to hit when the Hutt's declare war on the republic because a padawan started an orbital bombardment on Nal Hutta's moon."

Cyrian stood by impassively as Jen and Levant had their little spat, but as soon as Levant decided to turn himself on Cy, he turned with a scowl.

"Do not presume to bark at me little one, you have no idea what Ashla has allowed me to see, in you and the world.  You presume to know her motives, what she seeks out of all of us, and that is YOUR flaw.  Perhaps your mission here is complete, perhaps life does not matter to you ... perhaps teaching does not matter to you,  but you have the chance to make a difference."

Those words were spoken with a measure of contempt and disgust, he had thought Levant would see this through and was rather unhappy with his decision.  He gave a sniff and followed Jen out the door, determined to protect her while she found the voice of Ashla, it was his belief that all force users had THAT right.

Catri stood in shock watching the three Jedi argue. She raised her eyebrows at Corrin, and he shrugged his shoulders. Monty looked like he was struggling to contain laughter.

Catri walked over to Levant.

"Look, settle down. Bowdaar is not near stupid enough to start blasting a facility at random and I sure as frell am not going to ask him so don't get your robes in a twist. Now we need all the help we can get, and I would much appreciate it if you would hold off on returning to Tython for a bit." Catri said.

Catri then bolted out the door after Jen and Cyrian. She called out for them to stop and listen to her.

"Jen, I know you want to get your Master back, but are you out of your kriffing mind? I'm not going to have Bowdaar start shooting at the planet with a gun turret. Do you know how much fracking destruction that would cause? Levant is right. Lots of innocent people will get hurt and it wouldn't just be the Hutts we'd be at war with. Now I'm all for going in and getting Raven out. I have some scores to settle with Soryn myself, but if we're going to do this we're going to do it right."

Title: Re: [SW-TOR] Meanwhile, back at the spaceport...
Post by: Auric on November 18, 2011, 10:47:38 PM
As the group left the clinic Levant was relieved. Even though he was the youngest Jedi there he still felt like a babysitter. He couldn't grasp the disconnect they were having between force users and Jedi. A force user used the force to their own ends, a Jedi worked with the force as an ally, they were not slaves to it. As far as he was concerned they had forgotten what it meant to be Jedi. Turning around to the Bounty hunters on the table, he noticed Fluffy watching his every move. "You know I envy you Fluffy. When people get on your nerves you can just shoot them." The droid didn't respond, just tilting it's head. "And the trend of you intimidating the poodoo out of me continues." He said with an awkward smile.

Reaching into his pocket, Levant pulled a Holo-recorder from his pocket. Flicking a switch the feed began to record. "This is Jedi Knight Levant Moonstride. The mission has gone the direction the council expected. My primary assignment from the council to judge the Jedi knight Raven Miles and his Padawan is complete. His padawan is less than stable, and they share a force bond which will hurt them both in the long run. I'm not certain tearing them a part will solve the issue. My secondary assigment is still in progress. I have lost favour with the group so I will be going to retrieve the data on my own. The full report will reach you if I survive. If I don't survive, or if we end up in a galactic trade war with the Hutt's, let it be known I tried to stop it." Switching it off he transmitted the message to Tython.

"Now for answers." Levant said walking to one of the bounty hunters. The man was just starting to come back to reality. "Shame, you would've been better off sleeping for this next part." Closing his eyes Levant delved into the bounty hunters mind. Surface thoughts and emotions were one thing but jumping into someone elses mind was like trying to lasso a rancor. The bounty hunter writhed in pain for a few moments before he fell into unconsciousness. He didn't need much, just the last day or so. Blue prints for the compound straight from the source. They're weren't perfect, the man hadn't seen the whole set up. But he found where he needed to go. A warehouse at the back on the complex housed the majority of the computer systems. Getting in might be tricky, but the rear of the complex had less security from what Levant got from the Bounty hunter.

Grabbing his things Levant rushed towards the door. "Well Fluffy it's been....awkward. I'll be back for those two later." He pointed at the two Bounty hunters before walking out. At this point the smuggler's were acting more sanely then his fellow Jedi. Jen was ready to light a powder keg and risk the lives of countless civilians, and Cyrian was going to follow 'Ashla' right behind her. No mission, no goal was worth that to Levant. If he could minimize casualties and get the data he needed it would be a good day. Beyond that if it came to it, he would stop the others if it meant saving lives or stopping war.

Throwing his hood up he walked through the streets. He was moving fast. He needed to get a head of the situation. He needed to get infront of his fellow Jedi.

Jen stopped walking. " I knew you would not start a bombing run. But, it gave Levant what he need to return to the council. I feel it is not his path to go with us. Do not miss read my actions. I go to save Raven. But he comes second to killing the Ysalmari. They are a danger to all Force users. But, we will need help. Time to take a page from Raven's book." She turned and walked right into the nears cantina. She walked up to the bar and jumped on to it. She ignited her lightsaber. " WHO WANTS TO PARTY WITH JEDI? WE ARE GOING TO KILL SLAVER SCUM AND BLOW UP HIS COMPOUND. THEN HAVE A DRINK."

A stocky hairy bear of a man looks up at the woman on the counter, around him where empty glasses...about 14 of them. "I remember they had strict rules about dancing on the counter...." His hand grabbed another glass and downed whatever was left in it. "And I talk business eye to eye....not eye to shins so get down." He extended a hand for the jedi to get down and discuss business of killing things. Björn pretty much looked like a hairy bear of a man of course, his jet black hair was messy except for a braid on the side, his beard was rather big and full not to mention his face had odd tattoos of runes and other things. Of course without his armor he looked like a typical run of the mill man except for the whole necklace of teeth and not to mention the giant curved fang between them.

Catri followed Jen into the cantina. She was about to ask the bartender to refer her to one of his usual customers who might be able to assist them when Jen jumped up on the bar. Catri gaped in shock. Nar Shadaa seemed like a straightforward den of thieves and liars, but surviving there could often require more tact and diplomacy than a meeting of the Republic Senate.Either Jen's plan was going to work or they were going to have half of the cantina at their throats.

Catri breathed a sigh of relief when a big, tough looking man spoke up. She hoped that Jen would get off of the bar and stop drawing attention to them soon. She walked over to the man, raised an eyebrow at his unusual choice of jewelry, and extended her hand in introduction.

"Catri Sage, and this is Jen. We need to... call on an associate of ours, and we could use the assistance of someone who has a way with weapons."

The man looked over at the woman that introduced herself. He extended a cybernetic left hand. "Björn Blackmane, Mercenary...Ex-Trooper." He grunted. The cybernetic was rather awkward...it was somewhat too small for the large black haired forearm and the off color grey metal against the pale skin of the man. "Well im sure I have enough firepower to get the job done by myself." He turns back to the counter looking over the forest of 14 empty mugs with a slight annoyed and upset look, beckoning over the bartender to get him another one. As he grabs the drink he takes a swig before responding again. "I would be lying if I said I wasnt interested... care to run the story by me in detail minus placing a woman on the counter?"

If anyone did take a look on the floor there was a large sack covered bulky item at the man's feet.

Jen got down of the bar and put her lightsaber away. "Soryn Vel Has taken my Master. We are going to get him back. Then we are going to free the slaves and destroy the compound. Then we can come back and have a round of drinks on me. So, are you in or not? We are short on time. We will be out numbered and out gunned. There are also some lizards. They are a health risk and must be destroyed." Jen leaned on the bar and ordered a drink.

He listens to the whole idea. "Heh...I like outnumbered and outgun, makes it fun..." He finished his drink, clanking the empty glass next to the large collection of 15. "If you need firepower...i've got it...." He taps the sack covered item at his feet. "Not to mention my arsenal I have stored away which I dont mind sharing to people." He stretched slightly and then coughed  at the mention of lizard. "Lizards? Like..big and dangerous or what?" He was somewhat confused at the whole wondering how lizards would be a problem.

The man makes an Ahhhh noise. "Those...uh...what were they again...Ysala-something or other?" He shrugged, guessing he was right as he reached down and hefted up the large mysterious object at his feet, carrying it over one shoulder. Levant had made his way to outside Soryn's compound. He was surprisingly calm considering what he was about to try. He stood for a few moments in an alley adjacent to the front gate. This next part was going to take some Consular charm to pull off. Taking his robe off he threw it over a pile of trash that he had stacked as high as he could get it. Next he rolled on the ground making sure to get his clean white clothes as dirty as possible. Then he waited. When one of the two armed guards left the front gate, Levant had an opening.

"Someone help! Help! It's a Jedi! He's trying to escape!" Levant said as he slouched up against the wall of the alley. Activating his lightsaber he flashed it around a few times in the dark alley before tossing it towards where he had his robes set up.

It was a huge risk, but the surveillance didn't have the alley covered, it was the only place he could pull it off. The guard's curiosity getting the better of him, he rushed across the street and into the alley. "Did you say Jedi? Answer me!" The guard shouted. The man was practically shaking in excitement and fear.

"*Cough* He was watching you, I must've scared him because he attacked me and ran deeper into the alley. He's still here somewhere I'm sure of it." Levant was lying through his teeth. Lucky for him the guard wasn't the smartest person in the sector. The lie seemed to work. The man ran deeper into the alley way, and it didn't take long for him to find what he was after. Pulling his blaster he fixed it on the Jedi Robes. "Gotcha!" The man shot, the robes and trash fell to the ground. The guard was confused for a second and then he felt a sharp sting on the back of his head. The man fell to the ground and Levant dropped the droid arm he had used to smash the man with.

After a quick costume change, and stuffing the guard into an old shipping crate, Levant walked towards the front gate of Soryn's place. The guard suit was itchy and it smelled like the man hadn't seen the inside of a refresher in days. Walking back to the guard post he stood there for the better part of 10 minutes before the other guard returned.

"Slag this comm. I still can't reach Nel and Raith." The other guard said smacking a comm. link off the wall. "Nel this is base, do you copy?"

Levant was smiling a little behind the guard helmet because he knew they wouldn't be answering. But the smile went away when something unexpected came in over the Comm. link.

"Query: Who are you trying to contact?" the comm. hissed in static.

Fluffy, you stupid droid! was all Levant could think. He must've been using the bounty hunters comm. that got left in the clinic. The other guard was confused. "This is base looking for Nel and Raith. Who's this?"

"Clarification: This is Fluffy. I'm afraid there is no one here by that designation. Perhaps you have the wrong frequency."

It was a nice save on Fluffy's part, though Levant wasn't sure it was intentional or if Fluffy just responded that way because the Bounty hunters weren't awake yet. Levant could just imagine the droid handing them the comm. link when they woke up.

Levant walked over to the other guard who was still pretty confused and held out his hand. "Here you take over here and I'll take the comm. back and see if I can find out what's going on. We might be getting interference from some thing. I'll clean up the signal and bring it back."

The guard shrugged and put the comm. in Levant's hand. "Be quick about it, I don't want to be out here all night."

Levant nodded at the man and started walking towards the back of the complex. As he walked he could feel the Ysalamiri inside the complex. Like little black holes in the force. He could already feel the effects on his senses. Taking the force away from a force sensitive was like taking away all of their senses. Without the force, Jedi were weak. It was lucky he had a helmet on because the expression on his face would've been a dead give away.

After a short walk Levant had reached the ware house. His head was spinning a little, but otherwise he was keeping it together. Pressing the lock, the door opened and Levant stepped in. Without the force he was definitely on edge. He couldn't tell if there was anyone else inside and he had no idea how to defend himself if he was caught. He slowly made his way through making sure to stop and look around as he went. Seeing the computer hub set up in the middle of the ware house, he quickly moved towards it and plugged in an empty data pad. The data pad only had one function, to copy the contents of the drive it was plugged into. Levant may have been a stick in the mud sometimes, but at least that meant he was prepared. Trust was something earned, he hadn't earned from his allies and his allies hadn't earned it from him.

While the data pad was collecting information something in the rear of the ware house caught Levant's eye. It was a cage. Walking towards it he saw a cage full of sentients. Different species but all humanoid and all fairly young. Slaves he thought. He couldn't risk letting them out right now. He still had some explosives from earlier, but he couldn't just blow it and hope they all made it out in the confusion. He had to wait for the right time. Heading back to the computer he saw the data pad had finished downloading. Unplugging it, he pulled off his glove and stuck it inside his sleeve.

Suddenly a man spoke from behind him. "There you are!" the man shouted. Levant nearly jumped 5 feet in the air. Being numb to the force was taking it's toll. "Jumpy much? We're needed upstairs, the boss has something to say. Any luck with the comm.?"

Levant stuck his glove back on and walked over to the man. "Uh..no, not really. Still seems to be getting jammed with another frequency." Walking with the man towards the main hold of Soryn's complex Levant felt like he was going to puke. Without the force, he had no way to anticipate, and no way to calm himself. The worst part was he was stuck wearing the foul smelling guardsman uniform. Trying to assure himself that he could handle this, he took a few deep breaths and hoped that he could keep his senses about him long enough to get out of Soryn's complex before the others decided to go on the offensive.

Corrin stared quizzically at the group that left the cantina. Monty regarded Bjorn with a thoughtful smirk on his face. It certainly didn't take long for the girls to find some help.

"Okay, you went and got yourself a mercenary. Good job, girls. What now?" Monty asked "We're not much better off than we were in the first place, no offense Bjorn. We can't just walk up to the compound and knock on the door."

"Why can't we?" Catri said

"What do you mean 'why can't we'? Because it's karking crazy, that's why!" Corrin replied.

"Just hear me out a minute." Catri said looking around at the group "Soryn wants me and my family. Why not give him what he wants?"

"Uh, you seem to be missing the point of this whole operation, Kitten. We don't want Soryn to get you" Monty said

"Think about it. We were counting on Levant to help us distract the guards, but that's obviously not going to happen. We need to find another distraction, and it would be pretty distracting if i walk right up to the compound and turn myself in. Haven't you ever heard of a prisoner exchange?" Catri said

"Of course I've heard of it, Catri, because it's exactly what your father will try to do when Soryn is torturing his little girl because I let her run off and try this fool idea." Monty snapped

"Monty's right, Cat. It'll never work. My uncle will know it's a trick from the beginning." Corrin said.

"Of course he'll know it's a trick. I never expected to fool him, but I can try to throw him off a bit. he won't know what kind of trick to expect until all of you are inside." Catri said.

Jen walked up to Catri. She placed her hand on her shoulder. "You do not have to do that." Jen was very calm. Too calm. "I feel him. He is strong in the Force. Stronger then he ever was. Something has changed. I feel his calm. It makes me calm. It is hard to explain. But i feel we will have our distraction. But we have to move now." Jen took off running.

Raven was lead into a great hall. Soryn was on a stage. "See this is the Jedi. Look at him beaten and broken. Cain him up." The men dragged Raven to the center of the room. They chained him up about two feet off the ground. Levant and the other guard entered the hall to see Raven hanging in the center. Men where cheering and stomping on the ground. "I have selected five men to show you. That Jedi are weak." Soryn said as five men stepped up to Raven. "Now." The men began to beat Raven. But as they did it the crowed got louder. As they got louder the Ysalmari move away. Raven could feel a bit of the Force. Then he could feel it Strong. It felt differant or maybe he was. But now He could feel him. He was in the door way. It was Levant. I will give you time. Go. May the force be with you. Then Raven Started to Laugh. The men beating him stopped. Raven looked at Soryn. "You failed. Jedi are not weak." Raven then used the Force to pull his lightsabers to him. From Soryn's belt. Faster the one could see. Raven had cut the shock collar off. As well as the chains that held him. " In the name of the Republic you all are under arrest." Raven stood in the middle of the room. He was calm at peace. If he was to die. It would be the will of the Force. He was ready.

Grumbles as he stands there, he  grabs the large fang on the necklace and started to pick at his teeth with them as he held the large sack covered item over his shoulder. "Well...you did say something about freeing slaves so lets just chalk this up to a community service, i'll offer you....eh....70% off my normal price, were talking alteast around...nevermind...you know what, i'll do it for free." He shrugs as he looks at the one that told him his presences wasnt exactly helping. "I like it when its not easy...makes me work harder, the harder I work the more the client sees the more I get offered." He gave a toothy grin, letting off the fang that was used on his teeth.

"Let's go, then. Soryn's compound isn't too far from here." She began walking down the street and stopped short in front of what everyone could only assume had been a building. A part of the burnt out frame still stood in front of a pile of rubble and twisted metal littered with the charred remains of tools, workbenches, and a few droids. The sign in the front remained relatively intact, and she could see lights spelling out "Jorel Sage, Mechanic" sparking on and off.

"I'll explain later, Kitten. We have to get going NOW." Monty said as he dragged Catri away from her dad's shop.

It was hard to tell what was going on when they arrived at Soryn's compound, but Catri knew it had to be something. She could hear shouts and blaster fire inside the main building. Guards were rushing in from all over the compound to help with whatever was going on. They could quite literally walk in the front door.

All of Soryn's guards were all pulling their weapons, ready to charge at Raven. Levant knew he was trying to give him time to rescue the slaves, but he couldn't just leave another Jedi to face this many people on his own. Levant was still shaky. With his connection to the force being limited he felt exposed. Plus he only had a few charges and grenades, and a blaster and he was a terrible shot. But the grenades were an option. Reaching to his side Levant pulled a concussion grenade from his belt and activated it.

"HEY SIR! Heads up!" He yelled throwing the grenade at Soryn.

Soryn didn't expect it but reacted quickly batting the grenade away from himself with his rifle before it went off. The grenade ended up flying back slightly towards Levant just before exploding. The blast was loud, most of Soryn's guards were stunned. Levant and two other guards closest to the explosion went flying backwards. Flying through the door he had just came from, he landed hard in the hall way.

Everything was bright and his ears were ringing. He wasn't sure what was going on in the main hall. He could hear sounds but everything seemed muffled. Finding it hard to catch his breath he pulled off his helmet and tossed it to the side. He hoped the blast would give Raven an upper hand. Numbers didn't mean as much when the room was in disarray. Levant struggled to his feet and braced himself on the walls. Pulling his blaster off his belt he started walking back towards the main hall. He just wished the world would stop spinning so he could be sure where he was or where he was going to shoot.

Soryn ran from the room. With body guards behind him. Raven stayed in the center of the room. The Force was strong there. He was safer there. "Soryn, Are you leaving? The fun has just started." Raven blocked blaster fire and used it to take out more of the guards. Some came at him with vibroblades. He cut them down too. It was good to feel the Force once more. Raven used the force to find Levant. He pulled him to the center of the room. "Hay shadow, i knew you wanted to follow me. But come on." Raven smiled at him. "The force is strong here. Use it to clear your head. Ohh. keep shotting at the pips on the wall. That will keep the Ysalmari away. You did good kid. Now we are winning." Now some of the guards where running out of the room. Seeing a Jedi with his lightsabers. Was to much for them.

As Jen got to the main gate she stopped. She turned to Catri and smiled. "He is free. Lets end this. I will take Corin. We will free the slaves. You and the rest get Soryn. After the slaves are free, i will set this place to blow. It is time to let freedom ring." Jen looked at Corin. "The slave pins are that way." Jen looked back at Catri. "May the Force be with you."

Catri pulled her blaster and ran around the side of the building to a nearby loading bay. She ducked behind a shipping crate near the entrance to the loading bay just in time to see Soryn and five of his men run out the back exit and head straight for her. She let off a volley of blaster fire as they neared the loading bay. The group stopped in their tracks for a moment, disoriented by the unexpected attack.

Suddenly as the group stopped, Björn seemed to appear by Catri. He was holding onto the large covered object in his hands along with a piece of equipment over his left eye which looked like a targetting system. The burlap style sack covering the bulky item was whisked away at the straps disengaged, no wonder the man was built like a bear...the item was actually a large slugthrower cannon. The weapon was bulky as it was big, a dual drum magazine seemed to hang undernearth its large frame and looked out of place color wise as it was blue against the overall dark grey coloring. If anyone would see the side...there was a bit of art of a blue twi'lek woman bending over with the words "Bottoms Up!" written above the image, it seems if you were standing infront of the weapon the dual drums would look like a pair of buttocks. He looks over at Catri. "So...I think we got them covered pretty well..." He bellowed out loudly at the group. "Your move, sweetcheeks!"

Catri bristled at being called "Sweetcheeks",but she quickly focused on the task at hand. She fired another blaster bolt into the group taking out one of the guards. Blaster fire acroees from her diverted the guards' attention for a moment. Catri looked over and saw Monty peeking over a shipping crate with a blaster in each hand. She was about to open fire again when she noticed Soryn slipping to the edges of his cluster of goons.

"I think Soryn's going to try to run again. You and Monty keep these guys busy." Catri said to Bjorn. She slowly crept out from behind the cover.

Sure enough, Soryn broke away from his sentient shields and began running across the courtyard toward another landing bay. Catri ran after him firing her blaster.

His finger pressed onto the red trigger, the large cannon came to life with a burst of loud bass fulled thwump thwump thwump. One of the guards jerked and recoiled violently as a cloud of blood explodes from his chest, making a fist size hole. "I've got you covered!" He let out another burst of rounds, mostly in the attempt to send people scattering or hide behind cover to give Catri a clean pursuit.

Soryn slipped into the landing bay a few seconds before Catri arrived. She ran in after him expecting to see him entering the ship. A fist struck her in the jaw. She stumbled and her blaster slid a few feet away. She swung her fist at him, but he blocked the punch. He punched her again in the face.

"You really thought you were going to win, Catri? You really thought your pathetic family was a match for me?" Soryn sneered. "Tell you what, I like you. I'll give you a chance. Come with me and maybe I'll let you live."

"Frack off." Catri said punching Soryn in the jaw.

Her fist barely slowed Soryn down. He punched her in the nose then kicked her torso hard sending knocking her backward onto the floor. Then he knelt down on the floor nearly on top of her. He grabbed one of her wrists and pressed his other arm to her throat to pin her to the ground.

"See,  that's the probelem with you...with your whole family really. You think your so gorram morally superior. I'm a just  businessman. I like credits, and pretty slave girls get me a lot of credits." Soryn said. He let go of his wrist and traced his finger across her face. "Now you're going to come with me, Kitten, and we're going to see if we can come to an agreement before I find the rest of your family."

"Don't call me Kitten." Catri wheezed.

Soryn gasped as the sound of blaster fire echoed off of the walls of the landing bay. Catri threw aside the blaster she had taken off of his belt and shoved his body away from her. She felt one of her ribs protest as she sat up. Blood was flowing from her nose, and she could feel a lovely bruise beginning to form on her jaw.

Raven felt in the Force. Something was wrong. He looked down to Levant holding his neck. Blood was pouring out from his fingers. In his other hand was a thermal charge. Levant rolled it across the room. "Good idea kid." Raven used the force to push it into a group of guards charging. BOOOOM!! The explosion rocked the room. It took out a support beam. Making half the room cave in. The fight was over. Raven bent down next to Levant. "Sorry this will hurt." Raven used his lightsaber to stop the bleeding. Then he grabbed the com link from Levant's belt. "Hey guys. This is Raven. Levant has been hurt. I have to get him to the ship. Or he will die. I will see you their. Have fun breaking Soryn's toys."

Back on the ship Raven was checking Levant's vitals. He was asleep now. He would live. But it had been close. Raven now was going through the records Levant had downloaded. "I knew it. Master Houseman was behind it all. He found out about Kat's family freeing the slaves. Now i see this must stop." Bowdaar looked at Raven. "Tell the others i will see them on Tython." Then Raven ran off the ship.

Levant was out cold. He hated sleeping, his dreams usually made it anything but peaceful. His dreams were always the same memory, cold, alone, surrounded by a howling sound. It was never enough to give him a clue about what he was seeing but always enough to disturb his slumber. True to type they always ended the same way, the sound grows to loud to ignore almost consuming his entire self.

Waking with a gasp he felt light headed. His neck had a sharp pain, slowly reaching up he felt the wound. Something must've happened in the explosion. Taking a deep breath he placed his hand over the wound and surrounded it in the force. Light stretched out from his palm and slowly the wound began to mend. With that his head became more clear and his focus returned. Looking around he saw he was on Cyrian's ship. He also saw his datapad on the ground. He didn't need the force to know someone had looked at them, and he knew who. Just then Bowdaar came walking into the crew bunks. Levant just nodded. "Raven might be on his way to Tython but the others are still dealing with Soryn. I'm not one for waiting to see how this all plays out. Let's say you and I pilot this thing to Soryn's compound and make sure our friends are all in one piece." Levant said standing to his feet.

Bowdaar practically roared with excitement. Must've wanted in on the action pretty badly, because he was running to the front of the ship before Levant had even taken his first step.

OOC- Sorry I was AWOL guys and gals. Good to be back.

Monty stopped himself from calling out to Catri when he saw her following Soryn into the landing bay. He thought she was being real stupid following a snake into its den, but he couldn't risk alerting the guards. His only option would be to try to get away from the fight before it was too late.

After Bjorn turned the settings of his weaponry to puree Monty slipped out from behind the shipping crates to follow Catri. He tried not to panic as he ran to the landing bay. Soryn could easily beat Catri in a fist fight. It would only take a few minutes for him to force her onto his ship and then....well, Monty didn't want to think about what would happen then, but he was certain that one holo vid of the "and then" would be all  Soryn would need to get the rest Sage family exactly where he wanted them.

Anger boiled up inside him when he opened the door and saw Soryn kneeling over Catri. Seconds later he heard a blaster shot and Soryn fell to the side. He walked over to Catri and noticed her wincing as she tried to sit up.

"Take it easy, Kitten, you're being a little over ambitious. At least let me assess the damages before you move on to walking." Monty knelt down beside Catri and  handed her a handkerchief to stop the bleeding in her nose. She was lucky this time. According to the mediscanner she had some bruises and a cracked rib. He injected her with a stim and some kolto and then  waited a few seconds for them to begin taking effect.

"There's nothing wrong with my legs, old man." Catri said as Monty picked her up off the ground. In spite of her protests she wrapped her arms around Monty's neck and leaned her head on his shoulder. She felt Monty's arms tighten around her and she knew it was all over. She was safe.

"Hush now, Kitten. That was a real stupid thing you did following him in here. You're lucky you're not in worse shape right now. He could have..."Just then Monty heard movement just inside the entrance of the ship. He ducked behind a shipping crate just in time to dodge a volley of blaster fire. When he looked up he saw a green Twi'lek  stumbling drunkenly down the loading ramp waving a blaster in the air.

"It's all your fault, you filthy little schutta!" Ardon Vel shouted. "You and your karking family! First you try to turn my own son against me. And when I finally get him away from the job your worthless father tricked him into taking at that sorry excuse for a machine shop you and those no good meddling brothers of yours wreck our jobs."

Blaster fire bounced off of the walls as Ardon shot randomly with a complete lack of aim that could only be achieved by the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol. Monty ducked behind the crate and shielded Catri until the volley ended.

"Put the blaster down Ardon, before someone gets hurt." Monty shouted.

"Oh someone's going to get hurt alright! That bitch killed my brother, and she's going to pay. And then I'm going to find her brothers' ship and blow the rest of her family to pieces like I blew up their fracking shop."

Monty fired before Ardon had the chance to raise his blaster again. The Twi'lek crumpled to the ground with a blaster wound in his chest. Catri placed a hand on Monty's arm. She knew that as a doctor he felt killing folks was a conflict of interests, but they both knew it had to be done.

" I better get back to Cy's ship. I'll need to hitch a ride back to Tython with him to pick up the Wildcat." Catri said.

Monty stood up and helped Catri to her feet. By this time the kolto had enough time to work on her ribs, and she was strong enough to walk out of the building on her own.

Cy stopped at the nearest terminal and started punching buttons while he viewed the screen, trying to find the fastest routes to where he wanted to go, then with a quick turn and yell "This way!" he started back off down a hallway, Jenn following him in hot pursuit.

They very abruptly came to the slave pens, some were open aired but most were barred and closed of and their were a few guards milling about, looking rather nervous.  Cy turned to Jenn and spoke quietly "Start freeing them, I'll handle the guards.". As soon as he finished speaking he used the force to propel himself to the nearest guard and by the time he landed those twin sabers were out.

After Cy had systematically incapacitated the guards and Jenn had released all the slaves from their pens and collars she turned to Cy "We have to get rid of the Ysalamari, they are too huge a threat."  To that Cy gave a quick nod, not vocalizing how nervous these creatures actually made him... using the Force for sight was a great gift, and he knew he would lost that sense soon.

Catri left the landing bay and remembered that Corrin, Jen, and Cyrian had gone off to free the group of slaves. Catri found them near the slave pens.

"Corrin, I'm sorry, your Uncle and your Dad..."

"It's okay, Cat, I know. I knew it would come to this." Corrin said. "We need to take care of the Ysalmari now. It's awful pesky for our Jedi friends having them running around."

"Well, alright then. Let's catch us some Force sucking lizards. Lead the way and tell me what to do." Catri said.

I didn't take long for the ship to reach Soryn's compound. There was a small landing pad in the back that was currently occupied by another ship. Bowdaar roared in frustration and hit the turrets. The whole ship shook as he unloaded a full volley into the other ship, clearing a path for them to land. Heading to the loading ramp Levant opened the door to see all the frail slaves huddled together coming out of the compound. Bowdaar practically shoving Levant off the ramp ran into the compound to find Catri and Corrin. Levant knew there wasn't a lot of room on Cyrian's ship, but it would be enough to get the slaves off of Nar shaddaa.

Walking over to the slaves Levant held out his hand. "It's ok, I'm a Jedi. I'm only here to help. We can get you back to republic space if you'd like. The choice is yours." Slowly and timidly one of the slaves moved forward and started walking toward the ship. Levant couldn't offer much but a smile and a promise, but for people that had nothing that was enough. Slowly one by one he lead them into the cargo hold of the ship and distributed some rations. It was going to be a tight trip back to Tython but leaving the slaves on Nar Shaddaa would've been like leading them to slaughter. There would always be someone willing to take advantage of them there. At least from Tython he could try to find them a safe place to live.

As the last of the slaves boarded the ship Levant looked back towards the compound. A few of Soryn's guards had come through the back door. Some were fleeing for their lives, others still seemed willing to fight. With abandon they began to fire at Levant and the ship. "Enough of this! There's been enough death!" Levant shouted hoping to reason with them. His words worked on a couple, but not all. About 5 remained while the rest turned tail and ran. Igniting his lightsaber Levant began to deflect the blaster bolts that he could. He was still fairly weak for combat. The best he could hope for right now was to defend his position until the others made it to the ship.

Then to his surprise the turrets lit up and laid bolt after bolt into the guards. It took less than a minute for guards to be laid out. Turning to the turrets he saw the slaves had manned them. Turning off his lightsaber, he nodded to the slave that he could see in the turret. In a strange way it was the only way the slaves could take back any control over their lives. With the outside clear, there was nothing left to do now except keep the engine running for when the others made it back. He just hoped the Ysalamari didn't give them too much trouble.

Jen went up to the closest computer terminal. She started punching on the key board. The lay out of the complex showed on the screen. Then she did a scan. " It looks like the fighting has scared them back to their main pin. I have lock them in. Now all we have to do is get there and destroy them." Jen looked at the others "lets get this done." She then downloaded all the data in the computer. Then wiped the whole system. "I have all the records. "There will be no record of these things left her." Then she started towards the pins. To finish the job.

Bowdaar bounded across the courtyard toward the main building. He stopped briefly along the way to ask Monty where the others had gone. He found them near the main Ysalmari pen. Corrin walked up to him, and he could see Catri standing a short distance away with her back to him.

"Rarcwo rooohu?" Bowdaar asked

"I'm fine. You missed most of the action, Furrball. We're just cleaning up now." Corrin said.

Bowdaar gave Corrin a mock growl and walked over to Catri. He Put his hands on her shoulders and spun her around. He was about to pull her into a hug when he noticed the changes Soryn had made to her face. He moaned in surprise as his hand brushed against the bruise on her jaw.

"I'm okay, Bow, really. It's worse than it looks." Catri said anticipating her friend's question. He felt her flinch in pain as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Ohacraao waahwa acwo waoo aooo rooohu? ah'sc rrooahwhrr aooo orahanan acahsc!"

"Easy, Bow, I beat you to it. Soryn's already dead. I'm okay, just a little sore. I need you to call Dad for me. Monty should know where he is. Ardon bombed the shop."

"Ohacraao rarhoohuao aoacwo warcooahwac?"

"I didn't  get a good look at the wreckage, but it looks like all the droids are dead, all except Fluffy. Monty brought him over to help guard the clinic." Catri grabbed Bowdaar's arms to keep him from rushing off in a rage "Hold on, Ardon's dead too; so don't go out looking for blood yet. I need you to stay here and help Dad start to rebuild while I get the Wildcat from Tython."

"Ohahanan rooohu rhwo ooorraro?"

"Of course I'll be okay on my own. I'm not a youngling." She said with a playful scowl. Bowdaar ruffled her hair and headed toward the clinic to call the rest of the Sage family home. Catri turned to the cages and began shooting at the Ysalmari.

Being this close to pen. Jen could feel Nothing in the Force. When Bow came up to the group. She Jumped. "How did Raven not crack? To endure, what he did. With Force is one thing. But with out it." She looked over to Cy. She did not need the Force to see his pain."You ok, Cy?" She placed her hand on his shoulder.

Cyrian had a hand on each lightsaber hilt and he looked incredibly nervous, twitchy even.  His head kept swiveling back and forth very quickly but he couldn't decide on where he wanted to "look" or what he was supposed to listen to, his lip curled into a obviously fake grin. "Of course.. I'm... fine.."  His head continued to swivel.. he really had no clue where he was by this point, only that Ashla was gone and he was having a very hard time keeping himself together.

Whilst this inner turmoil was going on, he heard Catri start with that blaster and his sabers came out very rapidly and ignited.  He knew the general location of Jenn so he could keep them away from her, but he had no clue what he was even going to fight.

Catri saw Cyrian ignite his lightsabers and she wondered what in the blazes he was thinking. She was not overly familiar with the intricacies of Force Sight, but she had the impression that he might have a bit of trouble seeing around lizards that essentially turned off the lights for him. Corrin walked up beside her and began shooting at the cluster of lizards that she had attacked freeing her to edge over to Cyrian. She began calling out information to him about the locations of some of the nearby lizards while she was shooting.

Standing on the loading ramp Levant's neck was killing him. His abilities within the force weren't enough to totally heal his wound at the moment. Slowly he sat himself down on the ramp. Putting his hand over the wound he felt pain shoot down his neck. At least the pain will keep me from falling asleep he thought to himself. He honestly didn't have enough left to heal it, the events of the day had taken a toll on him physically and mentally. Taking a deep breath he remembered the datapad with Soryn's files on it. Pulling it out he began to scan it over.

There was more here than he thought. It seemed Soryn had been dirty for decades. He kept it well hidden. Most of the files were locked down tight. Levant was looking for two pieces of information in particular. Sitting there skimming through wave after wave of data, he finally found the first answer. Soryn had a few Senators in his pocket. The only way it was possible for this level of slaving to happen in Republic space was if someone higher up was keeping the law turned in the other direction. It also explained how Soryn managed to get a warrant placed on Catri and the Wildcat so quickly. It also detailed Master Houseman's involvement. Even a few instances where he sent force sensitive slaves to Korriban for his pick of the litter so to speak. There was the trinity he was looking for. Slaver, Senator, Jedi. At least he had the proof now, not that it would matter if he didn't get it back to the Jedi temple.

As he sat there skimming through the data something caught Levant's eye. A file labeled "Shadish settlement". Reading that sent his heart rate into the atmosphere. Jedi training hadn't prepared him as well as he thought. It was his birthplace, it was where his family lived. It was where he was orphaned before he even knew his family. With apprehension he clicked the file and began to read it. It wasn't long until he found his birth name listed on the page. He knew his name wasn't Levant, but Levant was all he could ever remember being. Looking at the data he saw his birth name listed as "Auric Northbourne- Unaccounted, Presumed deceased", under his name he saw the names of his 3 brothers and 1 sister.

For a moment he swore he was a little elated. Then he read what was beside their names.
Auric Northbourne- Age 3- Unaccounted, Presumed deceased
Ollie Northbourne- Age 9-Captured-Sold on Nar Shaddaa
Enri Northbourne- Age 6-Deceased in transit to Nar Shaddaa
Hanna Northbourne- Age 8-Captured, Force Sensitive, Ship to Korriban
Rourk Northbourne- Age 13- Deceased during attack of Shadish settlement

Just like that his heart sank. The force could be cruel sometimes. On one hand at least he knew, on the other he wish he didn't. Most if not all of them were more than likely dead. It was enough hope to leave him wanting more. Had Ollie and Hanna died too? What happened to Enri and Rourk? Why couldn't he remember. He may have been young but he was a Jedi, there had to be a way, someway to remember.

Then just as fast as his heart had began racing, it slowed or more to the point Levant slowed it, he remembered his training. At least it's something, that's more than I had before. I can't let this distract me. he thought as he tucked the datapad away and stood to his feet. He could keep the ship running and make sure the slaves were comfortable for the time being.

OOC-Sorry I decided to post this to help explain the name change from Levant to Auric. Probably won't happen until the end of this RP anyways so it really doesn't effect this thread too much.

Even with the complete lack of sight in any way, shape or form, Cyrian could still follow directions and swing a saber or 2.  When Catri started speaking he felt suddenly at ease again, knowing he had "friends" around, and when she started yelling out directions he knew what to aim at finally. After several years of intense martial training, even the lack of Ashla's touch could not stop muscle memory and his dual lavender lightsabers rained down death upon those devilish lizards.  Cy hacked and slashed with extreme precision at every single target location that Catri called out until she finally fell silent and the light of Ashla blinked back on, then with a slight twirl and flourish, those sabers were flicked off and reattached to his belt.

A deep, ragged breath followed as he retreated once more into the embrace of Ashla...   "We should return to the ship, the slaves need to be protected now.."  Without waiting for a response, he spun on a heel and moved back towards the landing pads.  To anyone who could read body language or even see halfway clearly, Cy was incredibly bothered by what just happened... Ashla had never left him alone before...

Corrin walked over to Catri.

"Well, it's all over." Corrin said

"You okay? Catri asked. She put her hand on Corrin's shoulder.

"Yeah. I will be. Listen, you need to go get the Wildcat. Now that I'm suddenly out of work I'll wait and see if your dad will give me my old job back."

"With the redecoration your dad made to the shop there'll be a lot of work to do. I'm sure he could use an extra pair of hands." Catri hugged Corrin for a moment then turned and followed Cy to his ship.

Björn comes walking with his eye piece up on his head, scratching a few marks onto his weapon. "Well...you people sure do make this interesting, perhaps we can work a deal...you call me up with something interesting and i'll do the work...free of charge of course. If you need those slaves escorted i'll lend some help" He held onto the cannon with one hand, extending out his real hand. "What do you say hm? Your own personal mercenary?"

Catri paused and turned around to shake Bjorn's hand.

"It's a deal. I'll give t=you a call if I need an extra gun, and you let me know if you ever need a ride anywhere. Now, if you don't mind a trip to Tython, I'm sure we could use another gun on board. I get the impression that we're going to hunt for some worms in the Jedi Council."

Catri turned and walked into Cyrian's ship. She had noticed that Cy seemed a bit uncomfortable at the Ysalmari pens. If Miraluka depended on the Force as much as she had heard it can't have been a pleasant experience to have his ability to feel it removed. Catri walked up behind Cy and placed a hand on his shoulder to get his attention.

"Are you okay?" Catri asked

Jen walked up behind Cy and Cat. "We need to get going. I fell a darkness in the Force. I think Raven is about to do some thing crazy. Even for him." She then turned and headed into the passanger area. She walked up to Levant and started to use the Force to heal his neck more. "I am sorry for what i said to you. I was trying to get you to leave. I saw what i thought was your death. I see things in the force. but some times i do not read them right. I thought if i gave you what you need on me. You would leave.  That you would not go in and you would be safe. I did not think you would believe me if i told you this. So, i gave the angry me. But you still went in any way. I got this files. I do not know if got them when you was in side." Jen handed Levant a Data card and walked away.

A small transport ship was coming up on Tython. A short fat blond man sat at the helm. Raven was standing behind him. With his eyes closed. "Almost there Rav." The man said. Raven opened his eyes. He smiled at him. Even when Wade was under his command. He called him that. The other troopers always called him sir. But not Wade. He treated him Just like any other man. Raven liked that about him. "Thanks Wade for doing this." Well you saved my life and my wife's and son's as well. I owe you." Just then the com came to life. "Transport Big Gun. I am sorry but you can not land at this time. We are having strong storm right now. Your ship is too small. You will have to wait." Wade looked at Raven. "What you want to do?" Raven looked at the scan of the planet. Their was a strong storm. The ship would not be able to land. But their was also bigger supply ships on there way down. "How close do you think you could get me?" Wade eyes went wide. "What do you mean?" Raven smiled. "I mean can you get me close to this ship here. So, I can jump on to it." Wade laughed. "You where never dull. It will be rough. But I think i can do it. Go stand by the rear hatch. I will let you know when to go." Raven started to walk away. "Hay Rav. Just like old times?" Raven smiled at him. "Yep, this time do not crash." Wade smiled back. "That was not my fault. They told me they fixed it." Raven rolled his eyes. "You keep telling yourself that." The small ship hit the upper atmosphere at full throttle. Wade knew he would need speed to pull back out.The ship was knocked all over the place. Wade was trying hard to keep her on course. The back hatch opened. Wade yelled "TEN SECONDES!" After ten seconds. Wad pulled up. As Big gun pulled up. Raven fell out the back hatch. Raven was now in free fall. The cold rain felt nice on his burns and cuts. The ship he was aiming for come out of the clouds fast. "Sith spit!" Raven used the Force too slow him down. But it was too late. He hit the ship hard. He rolled down it. Raven was trying to find some thing to garb on to. But it was all smooth metal. His metal hand mad sparks as he slide down the ship and off it. "Bantha fodder. This was not part of my plain. Why do i plain? It always ends up this way." Raven calmed him self. He used the Force to slow down. "Size matters not. Do or do not. Their is no try." Raven put out his hands and used the Force to push at the ground. It was working. Raven slowed down even more. Then another ship apered out the clouds. This time he was ready. He landed on it softly. The ship was just over the temple. Raven force jumped off the ship. He landed in the court yard. A group of Padawans stared at him with wide eyes. "Trust in the Force young ones." He said as he walked into the Temple. "I wish Jen could have seen that." Raven said to him self. When he got to the door of the Council chamber. He felt it. It was the dark side. Raven opened the door. Master houseman was standing in the center off the room. With his lightsaber out. The rest of the council was bound in their chairs. "I see you live. I will have to fix that." raven looked over to Master Shan. " I will free you in just a bit. I need to take out the trash first."

Catri squeezed Cyrian's shoulder reassuringly and followed Jenn to the passenger area. She sat down and drew her blaster. Twenty seven years of life among the scum of the galaxy had given Catri a nearly  Jedi-like sense of when something was not right. And something was not right. They may be headed back to Tython , the bastion of peace and order in the Republic, but she figured Jenn might need some backup.

When the ship landed Catri followed Jenn down the loading ramp. The two women ran through the hallway until they arrived at the doors to the Council Chamber. When they opened the door Catri saw a Raven and another Jedi facing each other lightsabers drawn amidst a circle of Jedi tied to chairs. That was not a sight she saw every day.

"Raven, you're having a party and you didn't invite me? I'm hurt." Catri said raising her blaster cautiously looking around the room to further evaluate the situation.

Raven smiled But did not turn his head.
"You know me. I love a good party. But this is my party. I do not think you would like the music. No one is to enterfear. This is the will of the force. This is how it will end. Jen, Cat please release the council. I have to take out the trash."
Cat and Jen moved to release the council. Jen knew that this would show that their bond did not make them weak. That even as she loved her Master. She knew that this was the life of a Jedi. That death was always their. That their love could not and would not stand in the way of what had to be done.
"As you wish Master."
Master Housman's rage came off him. Like the storm that raged outside.
"You are a bold one and a fool. I am a lightsaber Battle master. YOU WILL DIE!"
Master Housman force pushed Raven out the door. Raven hit the wall of the upper balcony. Raven brought his lightsabers up in time to stop Master Housman's lightsaber. Raven rolled to the left. Taking master Housman with him. The he brought his left hilt across. Hitting him in the nose. Breaking it. Blood poured Out of his nose. Raven then dropped into a leg sweep. Master Houseman jumped up to avoid it. Rave used this to his advantage. He force pushed him off the balcony. As raven stood up, he saw Levant and Cy.
"Hay shadow I see you are up."
Raven gave Cy a nod, and over the balcony he went. The two combatants  then became a blur of light as one would strike the other would block. The sound echoed through the whole temple. Then raven saw an opening. With a Force push. Master was outside. It was still raining out side. The rain sizzled off of Master Houseman's Lightsaber.
"You betrayed the Order, The Republic and now you pay."
Master houseman ran at Raven. As their lightsaber clashed. Lighting flashed behind them. Bringing more light to the stage. Master houseman push Raven back. The he put out his left hand. Lightning shoot out at Raven. He blocked it with his right lightsaber. The he ran forward. Master houseman was too shocked to react in time. He was now standing their with one less hand.
"Did you really think that would work. You have know idea what i have been through, and what it has done to me. Give up now. Give up now and live. Or i will have to kill you."
Master Houseman glared at Raven.
"I WILL NEVER BOW TO THE JEDI!"
He ran forward. Raven side stepped him. With one lightsaber he took the other hand. With the other he took his head. It rolled down the stairs and stooped in front of a young Padawan girl. She looked at it with shock. Raven walked down the stairs to the girl. He put his hand on her shoulder.
"As a Jedi you will face hard choices. Always trust the Force. It will show you the way. Know go young one meditate on this.'
Raven turned to see the whole Jedi council and all his friends. Raven walked up to Master Shan.
"Not that you need it now. Here is the prof that Master Houseman was a Sith."
Thank you Knight Miles. You have done well. I also see that you and your Padawan are learning to let the other go. That is very good."
"Master i will need some time to heal. I will be taking some time to heal and Meditate. I will be taking my Padawan as well. I have leared more about the force. I wish to teach her."
Master Shan smiled at him. She put a hand on his shoulder.
"Rest young one. You need it. We will be here when you get back."
Raven bowed.
"Thank you Master."
Raven then turned to his friends.
"Hay, Cat. I could use a ride. You up for it?"

"No problem, Raven. I don't have any jobs at the moment. Just follow me to the Wildcat and tell me where you need to go. I'll even ignore my brother's multitasking policy, and I won't bother trying to find another job until we're there."

Catri walked toward the landing bay. On her way to the ship she ran into Bjorn. In answer to his inquiry about liquor she called out to aside a Zabraak female Padawan who was walking by.

"Hello, err...friends. How can I help you?" the Padawan said eying the strange group uncertainly.

"My friend here wants to know if there is a place to find a good drink around here. You Jedi do drink, don't you?" Catri asked

"Well, some Jedi choose to abstain from alcohol to avoid clouding their judgement, but there is a small Cantina downstairs for those who choose to imbibe."

"Alright, who wants to go cloud our judgement a little before we leave?" Catri said to the group.

B's face is colored impressed, he didnt expect jedis to have a cantina of all things...he wonders if they can duel with sabers drunk without losing ears and what not. "Cloud my judgement...heh...my judgement is locked up in a box buried under a planet, im not to concerned about clouding." He of course followed, this time he was wearing a loose white shirt, black boots and tan slacks instead of the combat armor of his. "Thank you sweetcheeks." he said to the female padawan as he passed by.

"Hmm...I want...Alderaanian Ale mixed with Coruscant brandy ooo and Abrax, a nice cognac, buddy told about this...its like getting punched in the brain if the fist was made of booze." He grins. OOC: Bah first part of my post of my post was deleted ><

As soon as the group had walked into the cantina Levant was pulled aside by a familiar face. Master Naa had his hand clentched on Levant's shoulder. "Could you ease up on the death grip please? I know my robes are thrashed but I prefer my shoulder remain in tact." Levant said as he was thrown into a wall near the door way.

The Togrutan Jedi master was staring him dead in the eyes. "That stunt back in the council chambers may have distracted the others but I am not so easy to forgive. Did you forget why you were tasked with this assignment?"

"I gave the council the data from the slaver and we secured proof of Master Houseman's corruption, what else do you want?"

"You were sent to discover the truth about the relationship between Raven and Jen. Report Jedi." Master Naa's voice was getting louder.

Levant scoffed a little in the masters face. After everything that had gone on through the mission, he didn't appreciate being lectured. "My Report, here it is. They have a bond, and they work daily to control it. Will it cause them to fall to the darkside? Probably not." Levant started to walk away. "Any other questions or concerns? Because quite frankly you and I both know this inquiry into their relationship was Timith Houseman's doing in the first place and I don't take orders from dark Jedi. So I guess I'm wondering why you're so concerned. After all you are a true member of the Jedi order, I would think such petty things were above you."

Walking back to his table he noticed his former master looking at him from the bar. He was oddly enough smiling. Levant walked over and sat beside him. Master Marik ordered him a Juma juice and turned to him. "So... How was your first assignment." His Falleen face grinning from ear to ear.

Levant tossed him a datapad of the information he had copied from Soryn's compund. "Turns out Soryn was the slaver from Shadish. He took my brothers and sister." Levant said before taking a big drink.

Marik could tell his former padawan was struggling with the issue. It was probably why he had the guts to stand up to a well liked master. "How're you going to deal with it?" Marik asked.

Levant chugged the rest of his drink. "For starters I'm going to get drunk, and then I'm going to put it in the past where it belongs. They were my family, and now I have to assume they're all dead if they're lucky."

Levant pulled the datapad off the bar and started to walk back to the table where everyone else had sat. Marik turned and called back to him. "Auric Northbourne is a good name. If you're going to carry what happened to them, taking back your name might be a good place to start."

Levant smiled and tucked the datapad back into his pocket. Sitting down with the others he picked up another drink.

It was hours after the party on Tython. Raven and Jen where standing behind Cat. She was bringing the Wildcat down on a Desart planet. The red sun in the system, mad every thing look red. "Welcome to Oassin Cat. This is where I met Jen." Jen Gave Raven a kiss. "It has been a long time. It feels good to be home." Raven smiled at Jen. He look back at Cat. "You will have to come back, when the baby is born." Jen look at over to Cat. "That would be great! But i know you have a lot to do." Raven Gave Cat the spot to land. As the Wildcat got closer. You could see a big fountain at the center of the village. The rest of the village was made up of small huts. Their where Jedi training every where. All with orange lightsabers. "You are the first off worlder to see the Oassin Knights, Cat."
The Wildcat landed. Everyone said there good byes. Raven watch as the Wild cat flew away. "May the force guide you and keep you safe little Cat." Raven smiled as he walked into his hut.

As Catri was pulling away from the planet her comlink chimed. When she opened the channel she saw her brother, Javin. She could hear people in the background talking and moving rubble around while her father swore loudly.

"Cat, you look like a bantha tapdanced on your face. How are you holding up?"

"Thanks, Javin. I love you too. I'm fine. How is the redecoration project at Dad's shop going?"

"It'll go a lot quicker when Dad stops having a coronary. Say, while you're out, I have a job for you to pick up. A client wants some blasters delivered to Ord Mantll."

"Javin, you know I don't like weapons runs"

"Come on, Kitten, what could possibly go wrong"

The End
