Dragon Age: Redemption Episode 1

She truly is a terrible actor. But I like her anyhow. She continues to act like she is still doing The Guild episodes. It was funny then but now she just needs to take some acting classes lol.
I thought she was fantastic in her recent run of Eureka episodes, but she essentially played "adorable geek girl", which is her schtick. I agree that her acting chops are leaving me thinking, "It's an adorable geek girl playing an elvish assassin!" instead of actually buying her in thr role. But I'm still watching!
Two things:
#1
She didn't sell me 100% as an elf assassin. I found myself thinking I might be able to buy her as an elf OR an assassin but not both. I think I can forgive her stretching credibility with her range a little bit but maybe not THAT much. The combination of both things is a tad bit distracting. However, I still <3 Felicia Day. Adorable. :smitten:

We all love Felicia Day because she is a genuine gaming addict geek that turned herself around and is making a living from her experiences now, but that does not make her a good actor. I liked her in The Guild because that is who she is, geeky gaming girl. I watched Red: Werewolf Hunter where she was supposed to be a badass werewolf hunter ... not buying it. She needs to learn how to hold/fire a gun. Then her as an assassin. She is not a fighter and acting tough is not her forte.
I still <3 her too though as her acting is campy and reminds me of great B actors like Bruce Campbell heh.
On one hand... Elf assassin... :idiot2: ... But on the other... Felicia Day... :smitten:
Not sure what to think. :-\
It was a little campy, but fun. I thought it looked kind of like someone took a session of Dungeons and Dragons set in the Dragonage universe and turned it into a movie script.

I think my favorite non-The-Guild-related Felicia Day appearance is still Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. :)

I :smitten: Felicia Day and I enjoyed Dr. Horrible and The Guild so far, but I'm not sure about DA:Redemption. It still looks like a fan film with a slightly better budget to me, but I won't write it off yet. And what is with the skinny Qunari Sarebaas? Yeah, I know that's Doug Jones playing him (Abe Sapien from the Hellboy movies), but c'mon...
it was decent enough. episode 2 is up already as well. if she was playing a elf thief (which for the most part is what we've seen so far) that's fine and she can do that well enough but Felicia Day and assassin does not compute.
Yeah, I've watched episode 2 and the premise is not quite working for me.
I'm still enjoying Felicia, but it's because she's adorable... not because she's believable as a downtrodden slave who was turned into a Qunari assassin.
Oh well, some of my favorite actors are charatcer actors.
You know who could have pulled off the character? Eliza Dushku. I can totally see her as a slave turned assassin. (And she is capable of doing adorable, too.)
Aye, Eliza can definitely play badass. Or Serinda Swan of Breakout Kings.
The problem with Swan's character on Breakout Kings is that she talks a good game of badass-atude, but very little badassness is actually occurring. She just sits there looking hot and pissed-off...basically looking like a Kardashian on Slim-fast.
They've let her chase down and smack a badguy occasionally. I think they even let her have a gun once briefly. But they can't let her get too carried away, because she's one of the cons.
Mostly I think of her for an elven assassin because she has sort of an angular face and strong arching eyebrows that strike me as vaguely elven.
For folks who don't know who we're talking about:
