Title: [EQN] Welcome Elly! {R}
Post by: Elly on October 14, 2011, 03:37:09 PM
Hi folks! Feel free to call me Elly, its the nickname I usually get during the games I play. I'm super excited to be here and really look forward to experiencing some good stories with you all!

I'm a thirty something art teacher from the midwest and have kind of made healing a second profession. It's always what I gravitate to. Please never hesitate to ask me if you need some backup in the form of heals!

So far, my experience is City of Heroes, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Allods, and WoW. During WoW I was a frequent raider (and moderate RPer) for many years and really enjoyed my guild family there. My fiance and I were ready for new horizons, so here we are.

I'm glad for this time before the game starts, I'm really trying to learn the lore and flesh out my characters. If anyone has any tips for good TOR RP resources, let me know.

I'm looking forward to helping create a great guild family when the game comes out. :)

Also- is anyone else in the beta? PM me so I can say hi!

(keeping the NDA is the hardest thing EVER, but I'm gonna be good!)

-Elly

Welcome Elly, to both you and your fiance!  When he's ready to apply on the TOR forum, be sure to remind him to tell me where he's coming from or I might accidentally reject him.  =)

Welcome Elandri.
So many questions.
1. What is Allods?
B. Where is your husband?
4. We were already a guild in Horizons. You missed that boat.
A. Why was #4 not a question?
2. Always good to see more dedicated healers?

Took me forever before I figured out how this got interjected into the conversation.  Well played, sir.  Well played.

Aaaa Thank you.

And may I compliment you on the portmanteau of "Sagasylum"?
How has this not become an alt. guild name somewhere?

In response to Ryland.... :)

1. What is Allods?

The reason you haven't played Allods, is because it's a Russian MMO. In Russia you don't play the MMO, the MMO plays YOU.
Allods is probably the most gorgeous game ever made, but missing a soul somehow.. The game holds a place in my heart for two things- the line "Astral Monster is NO JOKE." and their brilliant dances.

Watch this, especially at 2:48. So awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRy79x9TkFw

B. Where is your husband?

He's here! He'll be posting soon. Although he's not my husband yet, we're still figuring out where and when to get married. :P

4. We were already a guild in Horizons. You missed that boat.

I miss lotsa boats. I'm perpetually late. Except to raids, go figure. >.<

A. Why was #4 not a question?

You're trying to be crafty. I'm gonna keep my eye on you! >.>

2. Always good to see more dedicated healers?

Dedicated healers are crazy people. Who else would love perpetual whack-a-mole? :)

Oh, you're good. Wit, sarcasm, self-deprecation, youtube videos.
I'mma gonna keep my eyes on you as well.

Your signature is pure brilliance.
My Healing can best be described as Abstract Art, that's for sure. But man, do I love it when that health bar fills at just the right moment, like it was scripted.

And finally, may I suggest Las Vegas, next summer. Great place and time to get married.

Welcome to fellow new person!
I look forward to getting to know you and comparing healing and tanking notes with you and your fiance!
Also just chatting about nothing in particular and cracking jokes.

Welcome (Again) to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in GW2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome back! I'll have to see if it's possible to have my Elandri forum name changed to plain ol' Elly.

The name started out in WoW as Elandriel, which sounded too medieval for TOR, (when I joined Saga) so it morphed into Elandri Eledar.

Not sure yet if Elandriel will be resurrected in her old form for EQNext. I know my that one of my favorite alts, Mouse/Roo, wants very much to be reborn in Wildstar as an Aurin Spellslinger. I just hope Wildstar comes out before EQNext so I can spend a bit of time there. EQNext is my ultimate destination.

I've never been much of a builder (like in Minecraft), but I do have some ideas of things I'd like to try and build in Landmark. I hope the rumors are true that it may come out sooner rather than later. :)

I love gathering bits of information, if I find anything good I'll share. In the meantime I have lots of EQ lore to catch up on!

It's possible.
I mean, it's done.
(You still log-in with the old name, however. If you want to change that, it requires a password deal.)

Thank you so much, PinkRose for getting to the name change so quickly.  It's much better. :)
