My husband and I were shopping at Bed, Bath, and Beyond today. I passed a display of monogrammed handtowels, which instantly drew me with the possibility of spelling out something to raise the anarchy quotient of the store. Imagine my joy when I discovered that someone had already had the same idea:

ahahahaha
Real mature, Mixxi.
Why didn't you change it to BACTA?
nice. O0
i don't get it...
After much google searching, I found the following tidbits of information:
DABCAA is an HTML color code for a medium-dark beige.
Fatas is spanish for Fey.
So DABCAA FATAS = beige fey?
*still scratching his noggin*
My guess id DABCA means nothing and FATAS is FATASS with one letter cut off of the end.
I like beige fey better. :)

True. That has a mysterious "I'm leaving a secret message with towels" feel to it, like you'd expect it to be a clue in a children's fantasy novel.
Even if it is just DABCAA as the color code for beige being the secret message, it seems most appropriate given the color of the towels is, in fact, beige, and the population density of nerds/geeks in Mixxi's corner of the world.
Plus, would it not be the "Beige Fairy", who comes to rearrange the beige towels? Assuming this is the correct understanding, that is so subtle, and really awesome. You know, in the same way that the tooth fairy comes and rearranges your teeth.
I did not look this up, but is DABCAA a hexadecimal way to address the definition of color? Looks like it.
The key to what it all means lies in the fact that my husband was raised in a very Hungarian family. To us, it definitely said "fatass". If you've ever played cards with Hungarians, you'll know that they do not hesitate to speak their mind...colorfully and confrontationally.
So the key is not the geekiness, it's the Hungarian-ness.
Now I want to go back and rearrange them with clues from Harry Potter books.
I really have nothing to contribute here, but it's 5am, and I just love this thread so much. :smitten:
