I need someone to look at the boards with fresh eyes.
This someone needs to read ALL stickied posts that a TOR recruit might read and report back what doesn't make sense, what refers to Vanguard and WoW instead of TOR, where it says initiate instead of Recruit, etc.
I realized that the welcome thread that I just wrote for fliptem refers to the "stickies in this forum" yet where we are posting them, in the Roster section, has only 1 sticky with a Roster card template.
So I either need to change the welcome threads or put them somewhere else.
I'm sure there are a bunch of those things out there and I don't want anyone to come in and think we don't know what we are doing. Or figure out that we don't know.
Anyone wanna help? Please post any errors or omissions below.

I was just about to ask when I read those welcome posts. Then, I saw this post.
When the boilerplates were originally written, we were posting welcome threads in a different location under the general game specific forums (and that's where the stickied posts that are referred to were/are located... charters, faqs, membership procedures, etc.) but the location of our welcome wagon activities has (very) recently changed, so yes, I see one of three possible options needing to be addressed there:
- Change where the welcomes are posted.
- Relocate the sticky threads into the same place.
- Rewrite the welcome to link directly to the stickies.
Last night, I looked over the materials you posted/updated, and nothing specific jumped out at me, but I'll keep my eyes peeled, too. Rumze might catch something I wasn't looking for since his eyes are fresher than mine. The more eyeballs, the merrier.
You might want a modified copy of something like this to go in whatever ends up being the appropriate location in the SWTOR area.
This is the key sticky that Noa put together for us in the EQ2 forums way back when. It's a mini-directory to the rules, policies, charter, etc. that are posted in the central rules board. i.e. This is the main sticky to which the welcome boilerplate was referencing.

Oh, a couple of 'flags' attached to the above linked mini-directory:
The Electing Support Staff (http://sagafamily.org/index.php?topic=1828.0) policy refers to our old yahoo guild email account, which I'm not sure has been active since we moved from the ezboards.
The GL & Officer Election & Term Limits (http://sagafamily.org/index.php?topic=2078.0) policy has been indefinitely "Coming soon..." but lacks the game developer trademark (tm) text symbol beside it.
That Electing Support Staff is the kind of thing I'm looking for.
If something refers to a Journal, or the XO as a dwarf, or links that are broken.
