This had us cheering at our house. The only part you really need to see is from 00:35 - 00:45.

I love when he throws stuff like that in. It sounded like he may have been referring to something from the warm up, the way the audience laughed.
I can't believe I missed that the first time around. I need to turn up my hearing aid.
I want to view this but that link is unavailable to people outside of the US and I could not find another one on Google :(
It's the only video of it I could find on teh internets.
It's just a snippet from the opening of one of his shows. After the audience applauds, he says, "Thank-you, ladies and gentlemen. That was good of you. In fact..." *pause, looks at the camera* "...that was Lawful/Good of you." *pause, another look* "Some of you know what I'm talking about."
THIS JUST IN:

Dear lord, I don't think I have ever seen that many flags on a website before. ;D
Daily and Colbert are about as close as I get to religion since Firefly went away. I recall seeing this show, and yeah, these little moments are freaking hilarious.
When Viggo Mortenson was on, and presented him with a prop sword from the movie, he broke character a little bit for a moment of "this is so cool"....on occasion his inner geek peeks out. Great stuff. Before that happened, and before Colbert had his own show...there was this moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLB2eYJS2wM
