For those members of Saga that are members of different games (i.e., SWTOR) that wish to be included as a GW2 member should declare so here. This will enable you to join the GW2 membership group and view the respective board. Thank you.
Me!
Gonna play a Necromancer; focused on summons and self-healing with some debuffing and AoE damage in there too. Or maybe one completely focused on increasing the effectiveness/duration/frequency of Death Shroud. Iunno yet. Also dunno what I will name him/her yet. Depends on which race I think looks coolest. Hopefully I will get into a beta weekend and figure that out.
Reporting in! Human elementalist for now. Probably norn guardian later!
I'm in. Playing a warrior with either a general DPS/support build or an out and out crit build. Still in the works but I'm loving the talent builder so far :)
NOTE: This is specifically meant, I think, for those that are the rank of TOR Member or EQ2 Member.
If you are a "Veteran" or an "Officer" you can already see those forums.
Ryland is correct.
Got a lot of old friends that are joining for GW2, so I am not sure where I am going to play that game. Regardless, count me in. :D Norn warrior!
You can get them to join Saga, or at the very least get on the same server.

They want to play on a European server, so whether it is feasible to get them there depends on if the servers in GW2 are region based or not. Chances are they will be. I is torn. :(
According to a message on FB from GW2 people, they're trying to make it so people from EU and NA can play with each other.
You can play on whatever server you want. Only the client is region based. Meaning to play with the US client you have to buy it in the US, but you can choose to play on any server.
Also you can visit different servers without making it your home server. Meaning I could go and visit a friend playing on an EU server but my home server is a US server or vice-versa.

What do you mean with the last bit? I could bring my character from another server to visit or just make another character on another server.
I mean if I am from Server A I can take my character from Server A to Server B and play with my friends on Server B. Then when I am done I can go back to Server A as it is my home server, and retain all of the things I gained (exp, items, etc) from playing on Server B.

Ah. Sounds kind of cool. :D
Sign me up, I'll be buying the game.
I'm really interested in GW2. I haven't played a fantasy game in a while now and I miss it (I did play LOTRO but not for long, EQ2 was a game I really enjoyed as a fantasy game).
Just double checking...I remember y'all said something about there not being a sub fee each month? You just buy the game right? I'm just trying to make sure I remember things right, and I could have sworn someone said something about that.
I don't know what class I want to play yet, though I am a HUGE fan of rogue like characters lmao ;D. So I'm thinking the Thief or maybe even the Engineer. I know the Engineer isn't very "rogue-like" by the description, but it looked really cool & fun. I'm curious, the site doesn't go into which character's are healers? It just mentions their attacks (the videos and the detailed descriptions) I enjoy healing as much as I enjoy being a rogue, so healing would interest me as well. I've been really busy this past week so I haven't been able to do a lot of research on the game atm, so I appreciate any info y'all have on that stuff :)
Anyways - count me in =). I'm a member, so I would not have access to the forums yet (as per what y'all explained earlier). Thanks :)
1. The game has no monthly sub, just buy the box.
2. Check this site for information on battle systems (no dedicated healers): Guild Wars 2 Wiki (http://www.guildwars2wiki.com)
3. Check this site out for ArenaNet's MMO philosophy going into GW2: Design Manifesto. (http://www.arena.net/blog/guild-wars-2-design-manifesto)
4. Glad to have ya. :D
So, Zakerias, planning to cause trouble in a whole other world, huh?

Um....I'm not sure. I've returned to the same pool that the Zakerias character came from for each MMO I've rped in, beginning as Rhys Stevens/Voltaic Sentinel in City of Heroes to Kacer in EQ2, to Zakerias in Warhammer/WoW/SWTOR, but y'all are already seeing this story unfold in SWTOR. I'm not sure if I'm going to make a GW2 version or pick something else. Rhys/Kacer/Zakerias all came from my original inspiration, my husband (his 15-18 year-old self that is based off stories he's told me and he in turn, loves these characterizations. He even follows them more closely than I do. So I may choose to do a version because of this, it's a fun thing to share with my husband and watch his face light up at the new antics I've done). Each of those three character's have only had slight adjustments made and often their origin altered to fit the new MMO. In the end, I've ended up with three completely separate characters that have easily separated from their predecessor and become a new character, so I'm tempted to see what I can come up with using the same pool. However, since Zakerias has now been around for 3 mmo's, starting with Warhammer Online (Witch Hunter) to Warcraft (Rogue) to SWTOR (Sentinel), I am very doubtful I'll use the same name again. If I use a male char (which I often do for rp, I suspect it's the tomboy in me lol), I will need to decide the name. ATM I have nothing to offer, however if I choose female, I'll most likely grab the name I used when I race changed Zakerias in WoW to my raiding character - Kaylleigh. That will depend on how I feel the male & female char's look, if I like one's look over the other, I'll use it.
I know that's not really a definitive answer, I'll try to get it nailed down really soon, I promise O0
I was kidding. :knuppel2:

I'd like to add the following comment from my husband when I read him all this "That's f--ing great!" with laughter for about 15-20 minutes. <sarcasm> So thank you Ryland for entertaining him :P </sarcasm> I stand by my 'tired' claim ;)
Add me! Charr Engineer or Ranger
Zemnari, you've been added.
See, Zakerias, Zemnari used to be Bearmantron.
Why do you have to be so much trouble?
A little late, but yes, me too!
Mixxi, you're a Veteran. You already see the other GW2 forums.
Trouble's older sister, huh?
