Hi everyone.
Nvidia have released a new beta driver, 306.02, with specific fixes to GW2. Apparently there have been reports of improvements of up to 10-25fps by using it.
I generally avoid beta drivers but I shall give these a try.

Bah! Thanks for the heads up. I literally just finished upgrading to the last beta driver they released to get rid of the hardware alert nag in the patcher. I tend to stick with release versions only, but the last one seemed stable enough, so I might as well just give it a go since I've already dipped my toes into the pool.
WIth the new driver and minimum settings, I've had over 100 FPS and no black screens of death that my previous settings got me (native and the last stable driver). When my internet connection is back on track I shall push the settings to full again.
So far it's been stable for me.

If you don't care for 3rd party doodads, there is a native FPS gauge available at the bottom of the GW2 settings/options window.
My numbers haven't been very high at all (visual quality is bumped up--not to max--but quite a bit) even after upgrading my drivers, mid-30's every random peek. Despite that, my performance has seemed very fluid even in crowded areas, and everything looks stunning.
I have never had any trouble with my video card in GW2 until I hit the level 75+ area. Then I have major problems.
I just installed the latest release drivers though, and it seems to be better.
