Title: [GW2] Welcome Zorah! {RC}
Post by: PinkRose on September 04, 2012, 04:25:07 PM
Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in GW2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome!

Welcome!  I said everything creative I can think of on the last two welcome threads, which were above yours.  They apply equally.

I owe you onion rings for running out of good lines.  Seriously, I can make those.  They give you magic find or something, and an xp bonus that lies.

Welcome!

Yay new people! Welcome Zorah, who I will pick first. And not because I like onion rings either.

I mean, I do like onion rings, but that's not why I chose to welcome here first.

*nod*

Roster Card for Saga

I am Zorah Prisk lo Hoelbrak. Trained Ranger, Scout, Medic, Supporter of groups; and usually for a price, Master Jeweler and Part-time Chef du Cuisine. With me, ever vigilant, is Winkenwocket Fragglesprocket, captured Asuran Guardian, and my personal assistant. " Captured ? ", You might ask. Yes, well, as histories go for all of us, some come with their own convoluted if not shady beginnings. He and I share one that is clouded at best with many tones of neutral. We played dice, he lost. Showing again superior intellect still cannot beat a Pirate's loaded bones.

Our iniquitous beginnings aside, we have come to a mutual and beneficial agreement wherein I have half his bank space, a majority of his collectibles, and of course his obsessive-compulsive reading of guild rules of conduct. Some might call that a steadfast friendship, still others have referred to it as akin to marriage. Either way, it works for us.

One day while toiling away at the modalities of real life, Winken and I happened upon an old, tattered, flyer stuck to the muddy footpad of a pack Dolyak which told the story of the Guild Saga; in the lands of The Tarnished Coast. Upon reading it we began the arduous task of delivering both our bodies (whole and sound) and our wits (sharp and keen) to this new dimension in hopes of finding like-minded friends with which to share a keg and play " Toss the Winken" by a warm lodge fire on a cold night. Lucky for us the travel to this new realm of possibility was not as difficult a journey as first we imagined. We found the portal of our future and came to you in search of kinship and much adventure. In celebration, we find our spirits light and at peace.

In good time perhaps, we might find ourselves gathered around such a fire where I might be coerced to relay the tales of my most humble beginnings, storytelling being something that my folk are known for. My biopic chronicle is as long as the yarn woman folk spin for a King's wool. Yes my new friends, long and for another day.

We are Sara and Tucker of Oregon, longtime MMORPG gamers and raiders. We met each other on Everquest 1, Beta. Eventually we co-founded one of the strongest raiding guilds on Bertoxxulous with Omani. Three years later we relocated to begin a new life. In 2006 we were married. Now we are both self-employed and on our weekends we enjoy gallivanting around in GW2 after trying a plethora of online games such as: EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Guildwars, Rift, TOR, ST, Eve, and Aion to name a few. We both enjoy the camaraderie and friendship that gaming affords in our limited social time. We are so very happy to have been invited to share it with you all. Thanks for having us.
