So for those that HAVE NEVER SEEN STAR WARS, maybe try watching them in this order:

Tl;Dr: Episode IV, V, II, III, VI. Skip I.
I think it makes perfect sense and he has some good arguments.
Thoughts?
Actually, this isn't a bad layout for enjoying the Star Wars saga in my opinion.
You avoid the rather unfortunate casting for young Anakin, the worst of Jar-Jar, and perhaps most importantly, the bit where the elegance of the force is rather buggered up by becoming a parasitic symbiosis.
Qui-Gon is good though. And you miss out on some excellent saber dueling. Darth Maul is a good thing. Or is that a bad thing, but in a good way?
???
As the article points out, you can watch Ep.I after the Quinology. As part of the "Extended Universe" like the Clone Wars cartoon.
Temus and I had a long discussion about this a few months back. While I agree with much of it, I would hate to miss QuiGon.

What?! That... That's absurd. Who would never have seen Star Wars. *shifty eyes*
I've watched IV so I'm well on the way to following this guide to watching. Thanks for the tip. Though I was originally planning to avoid I, II and III altogether.
There's some good back story stuff in 2 & 3.
And some great light saber battles as well.
I really think this guy is on to something. Since I don't know ANYONE ELSE who has NOT WATCHED Star Wars, you should give this order a try and tell us what you think.

Preferrable to being Wiffle's.
I actually, deliberately, held off on watching the Star Wars movies for my entire life out of consideration for Pinkie. Now we can apply untainted scientific method to the viewing order.
Talon, did you just ask me what untainted scientific method we were going to do tonight?
Isn't it just going to be the same untainted scientific method you do every night, Pinky?
(narf!)
Thank you, Jasyn, for playing along.
... and I could swear that I heard your scientific progress go 'boink.' (http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/1990/01/10)
