So that makes ff14, wildstar and eso all going the sub route.
Interesting. I hope this means they put a lot of polish and love into the games.
I'm still not a supporter of sub models, especially with so many MMOs realising the potential of the free-to-play. If there are similar games that are free, then the sub games will need to be extra good in order to warrant that fee.
I think that's good for the players.
While I'm also still dubious about Elder Scrolls as an MMO. The concept is really exciting as I have enjoyed TES world, but none of the old ES games had any multiplayer at all, let alone mass multiplayer, a sub for that game seems risky to me.
But, as you say, hopefully that means they will have the resources to put a lot of love and polish into the game. And TES has a pretty large fan base so that should give them a great start.
I'd be interested to hear how the game goes if anyone from Saga will be playing.
I'm sure I'll end up picking it up, unless I get in beta and don't like it. Either way, I'll be sure to pass along my opinions. :brfm

<-- invited to beta a few times now for stress tests etc.
I can't say a word about the game, unfortunately, because I can never play. The oldest boy played for me and loved it. I wasn't impressed with character creation--but that was hardly the point of the offer to game so I suspect that wasn't as fully realized as it will be.
