For any who haven't noticed my signature yet, I write music. In my years with the Hammers, I've written multiple themes for the various incarnations of the guild, even a theme to our VERY short lived alliance on Kath Hound back in ToR (it was EA's fault that it was short lived). I've written tons of other music as well, but nothing professionally, sadly.

Feel free to poke around, give a listen. I might start going through and uploading some newer stuff (90% of the stuff on there is getting kind of old ::) ) and maybe have a blurb in here about the song if anyone's interested.
Enjoy!
Ill have to look at this tonight! Thanks for sharing ~
Hooray! A real life bard! And I shall provide the applause....

Thanks for the applause! I think... ???
*feels mind going and insanity taking root*
I uploaded one of my most recent pieces. I did learn to play this one on the GW2 flute, but I'd probably have to re-learn it now (been a while).
The Faerie Mounds
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=426113&songID=12513965
Among my several, highly random hobbies and interests is old folklore, particularly in regards to traditional faeries/fairies/ferry (okay, not that last one). Not the "bless you with pixie dust and grant you a wish" faerie, but the "hurl rocks at you and drag away to their dark realm that apparently makes people go crazy" sort. I really enjoyed Dark Faeries by Dr. Bob Curran; it's all about digging into folklore and myth, looking for all kinds of faeries, goblins, spirits, and the like. Any who, enjoy!
I loved the Faerie piece. Richly layered and exotic. You're a very 'painterly' composer. Your compositions are like paintings done in sound. Very evocative. :)

Thanks! :smitten:
That is actually a pretty accurate description of how I tend to write. Rather than writing from beginning to end, I write in 'layers', and something I write at the end I might add to the beginning, or I might add little details here and there. It's very organic way of doing things, but then when I have a specific idea in mind, it's really hard to get it out ::)
As a music teacher, I applaud you. I'd never guess that you were self-taught based on what I'm hearing right now! So fab. :tan:
The Faerie Mounds is really good! I bookmarked your stuff and look forward to listening to more.
Thanks guys :)
Hopefully it won't be several more months before I update my music page again ;D
Impressive, sounds professional. I like "The Fairy Mounts" best, I can immagine having a fairy as a mount while i listen to this. O0
Mounds, not mounts :buck2:

Please don't ride faeries! :2funny:
Uploaded another song.
Frontier
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=426113&songID=12527643
This may be one of my favorite themes. It's simple, doesn't go way over-the-top, but still has room to flex a bit. It's also more upbeat than my usual themes.

Great work, Sroth! Many start out reminding me of Ultima Online and then they take on a life of their own. Witches and Warlocks is funky! Frontier is more up-beat and I like it.
I like all of the ones I've heard so far, actually, for different reasons.
I really liked Frontier a lot. Listed to a bunch before as well, and recall liking several, including the desert themed one.
Frontier belongs behind a wide angle pan and scan, from altitude, of some really great landscape areas. (Real of pixelated.)
Thanks guys :)
I'm glad you like a lot of the ones already uploaded on my page. Some of those are several years old ;D
Unfortunately, Sroth, you've now given the rabid masses a taste.
I'm afraid you will no longer get away with waiting for years before uploading new items.

I'm just happy to have an audience not entirely comprised of myself :P
Art in any form is meant to be shared, so I'm always happy to share :)
I absolutely agree.
*nods and casually chains Sroth to his composition station*
I've posted some music on Soundcloud as well. Only a handful of songs at the moment, might be 1 or 2 not on Soundclick (I don't remember what all I've posted).

Ever thought about making a guild hall theme?
