I want to make sure the website is doing what we want it to do.
First question:

What do you have bookmarked to visit Saga webpages or what is the first page you visit?

I have the "All unread messages" page as my bookmark (http://sagafamily.org/index.php?action=unread;all;start=0).

I think I have the front page bookmarked, but typically refresh a tab I leave opened with the "All unread posts" page.

Forums then I hit read last unread.

I have it bookmarked under my geeky webpages do not touch bookmark folder.

I've also got an "all unread" bookmark. It's the most efficient! :ime

My bookmark starts at the "Forum" page. I can automatically see any updates or messages and the shout box.

My first tab upon opening my browser automatically takes me to the "Show unread posts since your last visit" page. First page to load in the morning and I just refresh that during the day.

If I'm on a break at work I may type Saga and the unread posts is a recently visited site I can select.

It takes me to whatever page I've visited the most here. That changes.

I type saga which brings me to the main page then immediately go to recent unread posts.

I link to the main forum page and scroll down, opening and closing the forums/threads that I want to read.

I use an RSS feed. From my feed view, frequently, I'll either click on a link that takes me directly to an active thread or click on a header that delivers me to sagafamily.org. I take a moment to sigh contentedly as my mind passes through the doors of the lovely building on the welcome page, and after half a second, I jump to the main forum page.

Lyrima, at the top of this page, and every page in the forums, it says "Saga ~ Our Online Roleplaying Family" at the top, then it says "Hello {YOUR NAME}" and just below that it says "Show unread posts since last visit."
If you click that link, it shows all the threads that have anything new since the last time you were here.

In case you miss the other one, once you click that and have read everything it presents, it then says "No unread topics since your last visit CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL UNREAD" If you click the bit I put in caps (it's not actually in caps) then you can see any thread you've never actually visited. Or something.

Sometimes my unread page hides things on me so this other one can let me find the things that slip through the cracks. Just to complement Pink's better suggestion.

I used to bookmark to the forum, but like others I have recently changed my bookmark to "http://sagafamily.org/index.php?action=unread;all;start=0" to go straight to "all unread".
