Greetings, I recently came across this guild through the EQNL forums and through Mixxi came to here. Out of character I'm a boring college student with most of an AA in deaf studies and a major in Psychology. My character is Sky Captain Guiding Olive, captain of the H.M.S. Forward Unto Dawn.
Welcome, welcome, welcome! Saga had definitely been suffering from a lack of airship captains (although does it count if I'm always an airship captain on Halloween?).
And the college student part doesn't sound boring at all. :P
I'd give you the standard list of who to watch out for and which dwarves not to poke, but it's usually more fun to figure it out as you go along.
Out of curiosity, what name do you go by in Landmark?
I go by GuidingOlive, I "live" on Liberation Alas far to the south in a perfect area to set up my Sky Pirate Bay
Welcome!
I only have one question: Does your name have ANYTHING to do with Dragonlance? ;D
Sadly it doesn't, it comes from my first Xbox live tag that I kept and created the character around the name. Then in Guns of Icarus I became Sky Captain GuidingOlive because I am the dark force of justice with my baby Forward Unto Dawn.
Welcome, GuidingOlive!

Welcome to the Saga guild!
Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.
Please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in EverQuestNext so they can get to know you. You have two weeks to fill it out, then we'll remind you and give you a two-week extension.
Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.
As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Welcome!

Greetings folks, I'm Sky Captain GuidingOlive captain of the airship H.M.S. Forward Unto Dawn. I am your usual every day human guy on the ground but get me up in the air and I become the dark force of justice against my foes. I do right by everyone if I can even if some laws must be broken to do so. My talents include violin performance and swordsmanship. I'm a gentleman's gentleman but I often am forgetful. Can't tell you how many times I've been berated by employer's for not checking in or officials for leaving proper documents on the ship. However, above all I'm dedicated. Get me going on a project and rest assured I'll do it to the best of my ability. Just be reminded that there are infants that can do art better than myself.
Currently in EQNL I have only my main character.
I heard of you through the SOE forums where Mixxi posted your guild.
I am completely fresh to the entire Saga family.
For the list, I started my MMO's in early WoW and progressed up till college stopped me about a year ago. I have experience in GW2, Rift, SWtOR, Defiance, PS2, and Uncharted Waters Online. Outside of MMO's I have a weekly (ish) DnD group of which I DM. I have experience with Dark Heresy as well. My main focus is my baby, custom built PC, but I do use my PS3 for older titles and the Souls series (Demons/Dark Souls). I have a couple Magic sets but they're not incredibly well built.
Outside of EQN I am still interested in GW2 and WoW but don't have the time to level in GW2 nor the cash for WoW. I have a little bit of interest in Wild Star but hold my opinion until the game releases along with TESO.
I loved raiding, to a point, in WoW and I was always a fan of roleplaying at certain times. However, my biggest enjoyment came from just grinding out whatever it was I needed. Just having some time to listen to my music while I spent hours getting everything needed for a recipe appeals to me. I will enjoy roleplaying because I like seeing different characters and how they interact opposed to how the players are.
As a member of your guild I look for a place to call home. A guild to come back to every day and not spend so much time in my MMO's without a group to do something for.
I have read and agree to the Guild policies and Guidelines as they stand.
As the Sky Captain I have a long history and the scars to prove it. Battles have been fought over freight I've transported and lives have been lost because of my action or inaction. I've manned the cannons and patched up the main engines to keep us afloat. My ship has seen the sunrise and the sunset in war and in peace. She's worse for wear but we're both plenty capable of another bout if we need to. My current hobby being grounded for these past few months, ship repairs and upgrades, has been astronomy. Other than that I do enjoy a bit of violin practice to keep me in tune and at the end of the day I like to grow my own tea. I don't have a job right now since I've been grounded but once she's ready for the sky I'll take her up on another rush order no matter the danger. I see myself on my ship till she breaks apart with a mug in my hand and a sword at my side. No place I'd rather be than in the skies.
OK. Auren really needs to check in here. A GUNS OF ICARUS player! He is going to be soooooo excited. Heck, I'M so excited. I cannot wait to meet the dashing airship captain.
(Don't worry about the Dragonlance question too much. :) The last two new visitors to the Saga tavern have had Dragonlance names, which has been a rather startling coincidence and has prompted far too much discussion about Dragonlance.)
I'm very excited for the airship dock. If you need any particular materials let me know.
Please, poke all the dwarves..
Welcome!!!
Have a beer! :brfm
Welcome, Olive! I'm super excited to see someone building an airship dock! I'm not going to be playing Landmark, more than likely... At least not for a year. But it was my plan to make an airship dock for multiple ships, as well as trying to build them if it was at all possible (and functional ones at that!). Be sure to take lots of pictures and post them here on the forums! :D
Welcome, what are your thoughts when it comes to pie? :wv
Welcome! Take screen shots of your creations. I will not be playing Landmark but I do enjoy seeing what other people are building.
Just be reminded, I'm just as bad at art in real life as I am in character so my airship dock won't look too good for a while. As to my thoughts on pie, apple is good till you get to the last bit of crust, cherry is delicious all the time, pumpkin is probably gods gift to earth, lemon is a close second to pumpkin.
*grins* I did warn you about the pie!
