So my NCSoft acct (which has been around for-freakin-ever) now shows an activation date of January 8, 2014. And I had to re-register for beta. No idea when my initial registration got trashed or what happened to my account record. *sigh*
Weird. I will see if that happens to mine when I am home from work today.
That happened with a lot of people, Ethawn and I included. We had to reregister as well. It's a grim situation out there for beta keys. I read somewhere there's 750,000+ sign ups for them. >_<
Open beta has to come sooner or later. They need to be ready for what happens when they open the doors to Nexus!
What I heard on this issue is that Beta registration was previously managed by Carbine, and is now handled by NcSoft. A new system was implemented for beta signups when they changed over, but previous beta registrations were still retained.
So if you registered a long time back, and visit the website to sign up now, it'll let you register again and so it feels like they lost your registration somehow, but actually they still had it. It doesn't hurt anything if you re-register, but you don't have to be worried / bummed that you were de-registered at some point (you weren't).
