--->Watch this first to understand Wildstar Paths! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJkfhxLEhEU :D <----
Some people might not know that the Paths in Wildstar are based on the GamersDNA Bartle test personalities: Explorer, Achiever, Socializer, Killer.
It's somewhat like an Enneagram for gamers.
What Bartle Says
Achievers are interested in ACTING on the WORLD. They are typical gamers, playing to "win". They give themselves game-related goals, and vigorously set out to achieve them.

Explorers like INTERACTING with the WORLD. They delight in discovery. They try to find out as much about the environment's topology and physics.

Socializers are interested in INTERACTING with other PLAYERS. They spend a lot of time chatting, and empathize with other players.

Killers like ACTING on other PLAYERS. They wish to dominate them, either through bullying or politicking. They use the tools of the game to cause distress to other players.

I took it years ago, but took it again recently and was surprised to see I went from Socializer/Achiever to Achiever/Explorer.
From October '08 (even though it says today's date, it was from back then)

Achiever/Explorer:
Achiever Explorers are interested in the PvE aspect of a game more than anything else. The AE thrives as a solo adventurer, counting coup with each new destination and discovery, poking into every corner of a map and toying with each nuance of a game mechanic. AEs prefer not to be hampered by a group and usually find PvP to be more an annoyance than a feature.
Given this- Wildstar paths for me to enjoy conquering would be Scientist and Explorer.
Curious how Bartle types blend together in a guild setting, and if it has any applications for recruiting people who would 'fit in' best.
Nifty!
I'm an explorer/socializer! Not terribly surprised. :3

Description: Explorer Socializers are the glue of the online world. Not only do they like to delve in to find all the cool stuff, but they also enjoy sharing that knowledge with others. Explorer socializers power the wikis, maps, forums and theory craft sites of the gamer world.
Your gamerDNA is: EXPLORER
Explorer 87%
Achiever 53%
Socializer 53%
Killer 7%
The Explorer motto: "No stone unturned!"
Description:
It's not so much the wandering around and poking about, but that euphoric eureka moment the Explorer strives for. The joys of discovery do not necessarily involve geography, real or virtual. They may derive from the mental road less traveled, the uncovering of esoteric or hidden knowledge and it's creative application. Explorers make great theory crafters. The most infinitesimal bit of newness can deliver the most delicious zing to an Explorer.
Secondary influences
Explorer Killers enjoy seeing the world, meeting interesting people...and killing them. EKs love all discovery, but finding an edge over the competition is best. Always seeking new opportunity, an EK likely knows the ten best places to find certain types of opponents, as well as ten different ways for taking them down.
Explorer Achievers have been there, done that and have the t-shirt...in fact they have a plethora of t-shirts, badges, trophies and other rewards. EAs are the completionists of the gamer world. They like to find new places, quests, easter eggs, unlocks, maps etc. and check them off as have, visited or beaten. Like real world travelers, EAs enjoy collecting memorabilia that helps them relive their experiences later.
Explorer Socializers are the glue of the online world. Not only do they like to delve in to find all the cool stuff, but they also enjoy sharing that knowledge with others. Explorer socializers power the wikis, maps, forums and theory craft sites of the gamer world.

Yep... exploring is mostly my thing... of course half my gaming happens when I wake up at 2 am...
