It crossed my mind that I may have not made this clear, but your actual initiate phase doesn't start until you get tagged in the guild on game launch. So don't fret trying to get to know folks in game right now. Getting to know folks through the forums of course does make a good impression.
Initiate period lasts 2 weeks and hopefully everyone is comfortable and any concerns are addressed . Hopefully during this time, everyone gets to know each other, and friendships are formed and people settle in!
If you feel that you didn't have enough time to get to know folks or vice versa , the initiate period can be extended by another 2 weeks and so on. Or it can be put on hold if real life pops up and you have to focus elsewhere .
Just posting this because while I have discussed this with a number of applicants, I realised I had not posted it anywhere on the boards. Also I will be away for a couple of weeks and this is to address any potential concerns about that.
Have a fun couple of weeks folks!
Hehe, that's a bit cynical. sort of implies that we make friends to follow the rules, rather than follow the rules in the process of making friends ;)
too abstract?
Ooo that's true - let me rephrase that :P
I get caught up in straightforward official speak mode sometimes. Have to take off work glasses.
Another quick note, while I still have internet access!
No need to vote for what class or path if you aren't sure yet.
I know some folks may still be undecided.
I initially made it to see how much interest there would be overall and to get basic information of what classes and paths there are , out there.
Also , there is an option to remove vote ( aka what you picked ) and then revote as well. Or at least there should be!
As always have fun !
I am bumping this since the Saga Manifesto (play the game while talking to nice people) has attracted a number of initiates, including myself, and now that the game has launched (sorta) and our initiate periods have officially begun (I assume) I wanted to remind myself what that means. Perhaps the thread can be stickied for a few weeks, or replaced with something more official if appropriate.
Done!
