So, as some people might have heard in guildchat last night I am making changes to my character. I've come to this decision after further roleplay with her. The foundation of the character is one of my oldest characters that has been around for years in several settings. I've enjoy experiencing so many stories on her I guess it was natural to want to continue that in Wildstar but unfortunately, no matter how one tries to alter a character to make them fit into a particular setting or within an established lore they just don't fit well and in the end don't work out.
This is the case for the current Elsavette/Paige Turner character. If anything the character should have been dominion side and thus changes were made to better reflect how someone of her character traits and behaviour would fit into Exile lore. After more roleplay sessions I was beginning to recognise that her behaviour wasn't consistent and that I was beginning to misrepresent the character. Her behaviour was becoming confusing as I was trying to reconcile her past, what she is doing in the world, and her personality.
So, I am doing what I never thought I would do. I am retconning the character. I am sorry to those characters she has already roleplayed with and any inconvenience this causes. She didn't have much opportunity to interact with many of the people in the guild in earnest which perhaps for the purposes of a new character isn't that bad. So, for the people in the guild there is no reason for them to retcon their interactions with her. As far as personality, that remains somewhat the same. Her motivations, past and her work are largely what change for her and those are things that in her superficial interactions would likely not have come to light.
I will be posting a new character profile for her to assist people in understanding the new character and hopefully in understanding why the need for the change. So Rumze, if you or someone else would be so kind as to remove the Paige Turner profile from the Book of Faces I would appreciate it. Again, my apologies to those that may be affected by this change.

None of my characters interacted much with Elsavette except Milner, but I don't think their interaction over a barrel of pickles really was that in depth, so I'm sure it's all good. And I have a character I've had since lke 1999 during the good old days of Yahoo RP chat that tends to haunt me when I want to make a new character, so I understand what it's like. I try not to drag him into sitting settings, but I'll admit that Neyrid (my aurin spellslinger) has a TOUCH of him, that being ego and humor, but the whys, hows, and backstory are completely different. The whys and hows are the most important part anyway... at least to me.
