I rolled Mixxi in Archeage this weekend. And for the first time in a long time, I actually recognized her.
I think this is the only picture I have of Mixxi without a helm. It's when I rerolled her as a rogue. (I think Pinkie did the silhouetting of the image!)

And here's the Mixxi I made this weekend in Archeage. Took some major slider extremes to get that angular/triangular face. But I was thrilled to see something very close to even her funky crooked left eyebrow. And she has braids, although not looped. :P

Oh my! Aside from those endless legs, that's a nice resemblance!
Quite a resemblance indeed.
It seems her sword grew in proportion to her legs. How interesting.
i guess she's a full-ling now. :D
This makes me wanna roll a troll, i wanna stay true to what pedekele always has been :pms
That sword she is wielding is ridiculous.
Whatever happened to realistic looking armor and weapons in MMO's?
I love the giant blade, personally. Makes me feel sort of Sephiroth-like! But then, I'm a huge fan of Cloud's sword or any gunblade. Giant pauldrons? Hate 'em! Swords? Mmmmmmmmm.
actually wielding a sword of that size is possible though (usually swords are especially oversized when it comes to thickness of the blade). A twohanded sword is easier/less tiring to handle than a onehanded weapon. But if its this long it's main purpose would be stabbing so the blade shouldnt be curved, because curved blades are optimised for slashing. this weapon is basicly a bladed lance. it has an especially oversized handle and a bit longer blade than a bidenhänder, so it's totally usable.
Weaker people should naturally use twonanded swords or a speer, instead we see them use bows in movies and videogames, bows require way more strenght though, especially a warbow - that's truely rediculous.
The game has a lot of Two Handers they call Nodachi, which I believe they've modeled after Odachi rather than actual Nodachi. ODachi are/were real world oversized swords.
Take this guy, for instance: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/d7/49/08/d749089bc174e390d1fd028a841cae16.jpg

The game sword looks quite a bit more thick and bulky than that one. A claymore or a zweihänder might be a more apt comparison.

I'm not sure if the one Mixxi has is even one of the Nodachi. This was only an example of real world oversized-ness serving as inspiration for some of the more outlandish weapon models we see in games today. Of course, the man could also be 4 feet tall in that photo, totally killing my comparison of extremes in the context I had intended.

Oh, yeah. I was just commenting on the shape of the sword. It's so thick I can't imagine it being used like a Nodachi. :D
Also according to wikipedia the average Nodachi is about 165–178 cm which does make it a very big sword. Bigger than your usual claymore and about the size of a zweihänder. :mf_swordfight:
