Look at this 3d chat I found. It's called IMVU and it's free.
I'm going to try it when I get home.

Finally I can be the 13 year old girl I always wanted to be! :---
Just kidding I might try it, and make myself a ninja. Then people have to talk to the ninja. Unfortunately, Ninjas never speak, so it will be me doing a lot of not typing. But I will be mysterious.
That chat tool scares me.
It looks like something I'll see as a Dateline NBC expose in a year or so.
"To Catch a Virtual 3-D Child Predator".

Ah! A common misconception.
Ninja do indeed speak, but if you're close enough to hear them, they're probably going to kill you.
One safe way to listen to ninja is through the web, as katanna and shuriken have a hard time negotiating TCP/IP. So far, anyway....

I'm not sure that's what it's about. It's supposed to be like the other IM programs but 3D. Maybe it's not such a good idea afterall. :(
Does it use the AOL IM system? If so that would be cool that I don't have to work and find new names and stuff :)
Hmm, I'm fooling around with it, and I'm not so sure. The avatars do look really young and they don't give you the option to make it look older. I think I'm gonna pass on it.
I look young, IRL.
me too. I turned 29 today and nobody believed me. I still get carded for everything. *nod*
