Title: I can't believe things are sooooo quiet.
Post by: PinkRose on April 13, 2015, 04:29:11 PM
It's like that time someone kidnapped and gagged Kuladen and we didn't notice for 5 days.

Anyway, these boards are extremely slow right now.
With no organized guild in a game and no big excitement leading into a game there isn't much going on.

Please, if you read this post below what games you are frequenting right now.
Kind of a roll-call and heads' up for those that are LFGuildmates.

Thanks.

I still check back fairly frequently, but yeah, not much happening :)

I'm currently playing a bit of Archeage with my lady.  Lots of ArmA 3.  Trying to get into Dark Souls 2.  DayZ.   A little bit of everything really :D

I've been playing Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World most often. I also have access to Elder Scrolls Online, SWTOR, and Rift.

Mainly playing League Of Legends and a bit of Dungeon Fighter Online, with the occasional GW2 PvP.

I have not been playing much MMO of late. (Though I have an urge play old school EQ still.)

I was playing EQ2 some, but it got so quiet I sorta stopped. I have been playing old school one player stuff off of GOG.com. Like Neverwinter and Baldur's Gate and stuff here and there a bit. Oh and Master of Orion, and Heroes of Might and Magic III.

I finally got a game I backed 2 years ago.
Pillars of Eternity.
If you play BG or Neverwinter, I highly recommend it.
Same kind of game, 15 years of improvements.

Playing ESO on and off - slowly leveling - log onto gw2 every day to get the daily chest thing. Otherwise busy - have pillars of eternity installed - waiting to have time to play it!

I'm playing a lot of RLO, and it sucks.

It's really grindy.

Not only are there awful queues to get into a dungeon, there are ridiculous queues when you want to leave.

There are too many quests.  They're virtually impossible to complete.  When you do, completion credit is non-existent.

The bosses have too many hit points and drop awful loot.

On the plus side, if I manage to sneak in some meditation, I can play /gems.

When the servers go down for maintenance, I try to play GW2 instead.

I am playing SWTOR with Merila, Auren, and Tuppen mostly. We are enjoying the Shadows of Revan expansion and now level 60 and all that. If anyone is still playing let us know because we have guilds on both sides and some pretty impressive guild halls.

I want to get back into GW2, but other than that I don't really play all that much.

I mostly log in to SWTOR to play with Merila, Gith, and Tuppen - running hard modes and doing a daily Kuat Drive Yards run.  I've branched out into other games, but nothing seems to hold my attention for long. I've started playing War Thunder, Elite:Dangerous (when it doesn't crash), aaand... That's really it.  I have many games on Steam that are multiplayer, but no one to play them with. *shrug*

Seems like we're all kinda waiting for the next big thing. I hope it happens soon! I miss all of you!

I also backed Pillars. But I am waiting to really get into it until after possible house move stuff is managed. I wanna sink into the game and really enjoy it.

As for P99, you know Meanie, that ain't a half bad idea. I wonder if my old toon there is still alive or wiped out.

I play 'Lurk on the Saga board' game. It's pretty meta and you have to be patient and almost completely silent most of the time, but occasionally you need to spring out into the open or people might forget you.

:wv Hello folks!  :wv

I know it seems like I'm dodging the question but after I left EQ2... I honestly haven't really tried anything else that stuck. Just wanted to add my voice to the people that are still here. I suppose I'm waiting for a game that everyone is playing for my return. Or something.  ;)

ESO ESO ESO !!!

Blaek and Boy #2 are in the process of building me an even BETTER gaming computer.  I cannot wait to get ig with it.

Still. Loving. Elder. Scrolls. Online.

When Boy #1 is in the house, he and Boy #2 play ESO quite a bit as well.

/tacklehugs

I am in the midst of building a new PC, and trying to buy a house, and then move....but if I can I am gonna squeeze in an install of P99 if I can still figure out how hehe. I did keep a CD set of Titanium around to help achieve this. (Thanks Mene! I think I ended up using the name Aram on P99, he's a chanter....) I am none too sure how fast this may occur.

/sigh.

I have a nice 1.5 GB download that is all ready to play, let me just see if I still have your email and I'll give you access to download it.  The best place to find me, come to think of it, is Mumble, no need to figure out character names that way.

I never could figure out how to install P99.   ???

Anyhoo ... I'm still around.  I check the boards every so often to see what's what and still hope to get in game with some/most/all of you folk one of these days.  But between kids and horses I just don't seem to have the energy to play on-line beyond my phone apps.  Those get a lot of play time while kids are occupying my television, while waiting for kids to finish soccer practice, while kids are playing on my computer, etc.  I was thinking to treat myself to a little game time this afternoon after I run some errands and load the dishwasher.  Not sure which one, though.  Anyone going to be in-game in a bit?  If so when and where, perhaps I can join you!

Life's got me by the horns lately but I'm still logging into GW2 daily to take care of daily gated content. And try to get some proper playing in when I can apart from that, such as a few hours on the weekends.

Recently did some living story with Jasyn and Mixxi along with a lot of RP. Was fantastic. Bliss.

Like Jason, RLO has been my biggest time sink, and I have to agree about the loot drops.

Pathfinder Society and a weekly home group of Pathfinder occupy 2-3 nights a week for me, and as a regional officer I end up putting other time in on not-actually-playing stuff.

I log in to SWTOR once or twice a week to put a few hours in on storyline, but haven't really had time or inclination to try to do any group content.

Pretty active in GW2 now. Talon and I just forged our first Ascended weapons!  :tan:

Last weekend I did a dungeon with Temus, Antronna, Zemnari, and Talyn (from the old SWTOR days -- hey Tal!) and then a dungeon with Temus, Antronna, Scazzaf, and a newcomer friend of Scaz's, then a Fractal with Talon and some of the crew from Everlasting Sacred Path.

Really loving GW2 all over again, and spending a lot of time gathering my mats for my next Ascended gear. I enjoy the events they've put in place to help you farm the mats, and I am totally gah-gah over the living story. And the new traits and specializations coming with the expansion (and some before) are very exciting.

Real-life is insane and keeps me from gaming too much, but hopefully that will change now that we are within a week of escrow closing on my parents' house (which my husband and I are having to pack up and sell from a distance of 180 miles away).

I am a ghost lurking within the shadows of the EQ2 guildhall. No one plays anymore and I've been paying the upkeep when needed. My play style these days is casual at best, logging in for a few hours on days I can, then not at all for days, or perhaps for only a few minutes here and there.

I rarely come to the boards anymore, not that I was ever crazy active.

But for anyone curious, Wayena the High Elf Channeler can be found on Antonia Bayle.

Spent some time in Wurm, but mostly messing around in Life Is Feudal.  Neither SWTOR or ESO seemed to hold my interest for long.  Planetside 2 just got old, and their attempts to stay fresh just didn't work well, IMO. (New Weapons seemed to encourage solo play, rather than require group coordination).

I've been playing the Real Life game where I'm now starting the process to get into Grad school. So this year is looking to be rather sparse in terms of MMO playing for myself.

But now that my tests are done I should be able to lurk the forums some more.

Hi Everyone

I play very few games atm, and none online. I've been working at a succession of rogue-like games from Steam. All turn-based stuff. It allows me to play at my own pace and stop at any time, which fits my work concerns atm. I'd return for a good release (nothing like a new game!) but there hasn't been one in the works for a long time.

Glad to see everyone still keeping the homefires burning. I wish I were the kind of player who could jump back into a game for a return tour, but that's never been me. When the magic is gone, it's gone. I keep hoping for a game that'll hold me a good long while, but I may have devolved permanently into a game hopper. I hope not.

Anyway, if I need to be a game hopper, I'm glad to keep hopping with Saga. We just need a new game.  =)

Vil

mostly been playing MechWarrior Online. occasionally dip my toes back into SWTOR from time to time and mess around a little on what they have for Firefly Online- it's still in alpha though. still holding out hope for EQNext but otherwise don't see a lot of MMORPG in my future.

I am playing through some single player games I have wanted to catch up on. I just finished Uncharted 2 and am starting 3.

I am also patiently awaiting the release of Fallout 4 next month I think. I think it comes out just before I go on vacation so we all know what I will be doing for a week straight! :D

I would love an online game to be playing with everyone else though. Is EQNext ever coming out? Anything else people want to give a try in the interim?

So how's GW2 going?

FANTASTIC!

Last weekend, open beta #3, was fun, and I really enjoyed playing a dedicated healer (the new ranger specialization -- Druid). Talon and I totally rocked AC story as a duo. The lovers? Pfft. Easy peasy.

I'm looking forward to the real release and getting to RP the new content! We have Saga friends playing quite a bit, so fielding a fractal or dungeon group is easy.

Wiffle's "personal story" is reaching new heights. So funny and creative. And the pathos, man. :P

In case anyone cares, the upcoming update to SWTOR will allow you to make an instant level 60 character to start the new content with. So if you have a class you have wanted to play but have been too lazy to level, or if you are like me and only play one character at a time, this will be a good time to try something new with minimal effort!

Apparently I'm as regular as the seasons:

Fall: itch to be in a game
Winter: Find and play game often enough
Spring: Gaming fades, real life rises
Summer: real life takes over

At the moment, Halagren is in school full time to finish his undergraduate.  This means tons of time at home -studyingstudyingstudying.  Even though he and I are in the same space much of the time, I don't really get to interact with him.

Lots of baby time, though.  He's sooo cute.  Momma is great.

Thank you all for your congratulations  :smitten:

It's pretty fun being the Grammy.  And it is even more fun watching Halagren be the doting Grampy.

When I head into gaming, sooner than later, it will be ESO.

On a lark, I patched Star Trek Online about a week or so ago, and fell in completely.  Even playing solo, I've gotten really engrossed in the story arcs. I played through seasons 1 through 3, and am halfway through 4.  I apparently caught a bonus XP weekend in there, because I ended up leveling from 12 to 54 in about ten days.

Because of that, I'm about 15-20 levels above the intended level of the missions, and am occasionally finding bugs in the scaling logic. I had to finally just quit an episode because I couldn't defeat the final battle (died ten times without ever getting the enemy below 60%).  Fortunately, STO has a "skip this episode" feature that allows you to continue the story (for people who've played through on one character and want to go straight to a particular place on another). I lost some loot, but I get so much I don't notice. ;-)

I do miss hanging with folks in game, but my schedule and current temperament during game time suit solo play better.

I played "Witcher 3" for several weeks. Enjoyed it as a solo game.

I played "ARK:Survival Evolved" for a few weeks. Sort of got repetitve and boring pretty quick, since I do not like PvP.

Now I'm playing through "Fallout: New Vegas" again in preparation for Fallout 4.

"Fallout 4" will be my jam for several weeks after it comes out. Very excited!

By 2016, I'll be dying for a MMORPG again... but I don't know of any on the horizon that I am excited about (unless EQ Next solidifies from the vapor).

New Vegas was pretty good. Not as good as 3 in my opinion.

I cannot wait for 4! I am just sad I didn't get a PipBoy Collector's Edition. I was too late to the party for that one.

Yeah I liked Fallout3 better than New Vegas too, but I've replayed Fallout3 at least seven times... this is probably only my fourth time playing through New Vegas.

If Fallout4 is on par with Fallout3 and/or Skyrim, I'll probably play it through several times over the next 3-4 years.
