Hennac McAllister

Freelance enforcer.  Most favoured job was as a trainee Wolf of the North and least favoured job was acting as slave-collector for teir'dal.  Currently squire for a fat froglok knight in the Qeynos Guard.

4. Religion. Educational level (and schools, if any). Political leanings.

Agnostic. prays to the Marr twins when in a crisis.  Basic educational level, is literate (just) so long as the book has plenty of pictures.  Not interested in politics, tends to follow whatever faction would bribe her the most.

Brother, Bryan, non-identical twin, same age.

She's quite short for her people and is touchy about it.

Scars.  Poor personal grooming skills.

Hen's has a snub-nose and it's likely been broken a few times in it's life.  Her hands at rest - she does not fidget with them, she comes over as fairly lazy.  She has the hands of someone who works with weapons for her living - her hands are calloused where she would handle a weapon.

Strong, athletic, worn, wiry, heavily tattooed

Any distinguishing features or marks?

Broken nose, long yellow hair, not well looked after, worn in a knot to keep it out of her eyes.

Dogs, wolves.  Not at all fond of rats.  Currently no pets, too lazy to look after them.

No long term partner, rather loose morals on sex.  Will drink any ale.  Sleeps sprawled out under the covers and without doubt would want to steal all the bedclothes.

Red.  Because it's bright and pretty. 

Behavior:

15. In general, how does C act around guards? Vendors? The dying? His or her mother?

Around guards, wary and belligerent.  Hen has not always been on the right side of the law and she feels victimised by the authorities in Qeynos.  As a "freelance" investigator and enforcer, she is trespassing on their patch, after all.  Vendors ?  Depends what they are selling, pretty neutral towards them, friendly to anyone selling food or drink.  The dying - depends who they are.  Death happens.  It's bad luck, get over it.  But she would be upset if she saw friends or family hurt and dying.  Her mother ?  Ma McAllister and her daughter have sadly not talked in years and there is cold hatred and distrust between the two.  Hen is a big disappointment to the family.

16. How does the character unconsciously show irritation? Satisfaction? Lust?

Irritation - frowning, scratching scars on arm, tapping feet, glaring at the target of irritation.  If this goes on for too long, physical violence against the target.  Satisfaction is covered by a toothy grin, relaxed posture.  Lust is shown by a fixed gaze on the object of the lust, again the toothy smile.

17. How, when, and why does the character lie to others?

Hen lies when she wants and lies routinely, especially to people she does not know, so long as it benefits her and she won't get caught.  Why not lie to others ? It's a tough world out there, if it benefits you, do it.

This attitude is *slowly* changing.

18. How, when, and why does the character lie to him/herself?

Hen lies to herself too much.  She tells herself that she dosn't need her family any more, even though she misses them terribly.  She tells herself that she'll sort her life out tomorrow, even though tomorrow never comes.

19. How and what the character sings if he/she thinks no one is looking.

Romantic ballads.  She sings quite well.

Activities:

20. What is C doing at 1 pm Sunday? At 6pm Tuesday? At 4pm Friday?

Crawling out of bed and considering breakfast on Sunday.  Working or drinking if she can't get work on Tuesday, and drinking on Friday.

21. Does C have a lover or partner (D)? Three reasons C is with D, two reasons they aren't perfect for each other, and one thing about D that C doesn't know. (If D is not a lover, let D be a best friend or caretaker, or you decide).

Hen has not had a long-term boyfriend for quite some time, although she has had too many short-term ones. 

22. Does C daydream? What about? Does C worry? What about?

She daydreams about wealth, power, being able to pay the rent on time, even settling down one day.  She worries about making too many enemies and getting driven out of town, she worries about being a bad absentee mother to her foster daughter, she worries about not having rnough money to be able to go out on Friday nights

Key to her room in Nettleville, key to her daughter's room in the Irontoes, key she shouldn't have to her daughter's money stash

24. One thing in bedroom C would be sure to point out to a visitor.

Hen is not house-proud (well, she should be, but she's gotten in slovenly habits).  More likely to tell visitors not to trip over various bits of armour strewn over the floor.

She can be very caring, but rarely shows it, as it's not the thing a berserker-warrior should show.  She can sing well, if she puts her mind to it.  She is not as stupid as she appears or acts out to be.  She is not as ugly as she thinks she is.  She has the addresses of her family in Qeynos, and knows that she must get back in touch with them...some day.

Tough work boots.  Owns a tarnished set of genuine Freeport militia chainmail - her own armour from her militia days

Animosity towards parents, but this is partially down to Hen.  So far, she's been too proud to try and get back in touch and repair things with them

28. Three childhood events that C thinks shaped his or her personality.

Being ordered by a clan shamaness to look after a furfoot baby, on a refugee march away from Halas, at aged 15 or 16
Screaming arguments with mother over what she wanted to do in the clan (traditionally, her family are shamans)
Playing with and sometimes bullying her twin brother

29. C's first love and how it ended (if it did). Tell me one heartbreaking detail, too.

A short affair with another young warrior during the refugee march. Hen caught him in the arms of another girl a few days later...the whole thing ended badly.

Last night.

Hen wants to get back with her family and get her life in order.
