Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds are forming, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in EQ2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game although it is required to be granted Veteran status. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

The roster card contains the option of doing a quest journal or not.  If you elect to do a quest journal, the Mistress/Master of Initiates will prepare a journal for you and place it in the Library within three days of posting the roster.  The quest requires that you interview at least three people who are of Member or better rank in game.  You will need to post their response and your reflections, if any, about the interview.  If you elect to do the quest journal, a majority vote of the leadership of the family at large is required to attain Veteran status.  If you elect not to do the quest journal, a unanimous vote of the leadership of the family at large is required to attain Veteran status.  The process to have your application for Veteran status will take a period of at least two weeks.

Just a reminder: after your first post you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and tradeskills.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome!

(I accidentally put it in the wrong spot! :) )

Please write an introduction to your character, including name, race, gender, class, alignment, god(if any). If you tradeskill or have other talents, please include those as well.

Drevant is a Tier'Dal who left Freeport at a very young age.  He has spent most of his life living in Qeynos, even serving in the Qeynosian guard.  However, he recently left to find independent work and has regretted the decision nearly ever since.  For awhile, he made good money retrieving information or lost artifacts for well-off Qeynosians, or even doing a bit of private investigatory work, but as of late, the jobs have been scarce, and he is struggling to make ends meet.  He is a good soul, though he has worked hard over the years to keep some Tier'Dal tendencies in check, and has become a very pious individual, worshipping many Gods, Marr the primary.  He has a strong sense of duty, and will not back out of a commitment.  He is also an amateur jeweller, finding solace in working things of art out of the rare stones he finds on his travels.  He is very emphatic, learning to deal with people of all types during his years, and is very slow to judge anyone, sympathizing with individual's personal troubles.  He is kind.

Do you have alternate characters (horde or alliance/freeport or qeynos) on same server? Khyrus, a young mystic whom I rarely, if ever play.

What Roleplay games have you participated in?  Everquest, Ultima Online, SWG, World of Warcraft, and City of Heroes.

-----------------------------------------------

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:

Tell us of your past:  My past is not one of the storybooks I believe, but I was born in Longshadow Alley, in Freeport.  From a young age, I learned to live on my own, grifting what I could from the locals in order to feed myself.  I became adepts at lies and deception, as well as infiltrating, though I obviously did not call it that at the time.  One finds themselves doing many things they are not proud of when faced with starvation.  To make a long story short, an opportunity was presented to me to leave Freeport, so I did, and did so at a young age.  I did not feel as though I fit in with my brethren, and did not delight in anything they seemed to relish.  Qeynos was reluctant to accept me, but in the end, it was the church that took me in.  I learned about the Gods, and that there were alternatives to the Prince.  I believe that Mithaniel Marr guided me down a righteous path, and helped me become something I could not have been.  However, it was not the church were I heard my calling.  I joined the Qeynosian Guard, and saw many battles.  I was already an adept swordsman, but it was there I honed my skills, and they used my abilities where they could.  I served many years as a scout, and infiltrator, but the time came where I felt I could not do it anymore.  I needed something more.

What hobbies and directives do you presently have? Traveling is perhaps my greatest love, as I prefer nothing more than traversing the beautiful, and sometimes harsh lands of Norrath.  However, I do enjoy jewelcraft...as I find it a very good way to collect my thoughts.

Where do you see yourself in the future? The Gods will take me where they will, but I will not break an oath, nor sway from my duty.
