Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in TOR so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

Just a reminder: After your board rank is changed to recruit, you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crew skills.

I've been reading up on classes... and I was torn between trooper and smuggler.  I think the trooper will most likely suit my play style.  Gender: male.  Race: most likely human but I don't want to commit just yet... still reading up on it.  Name will be Nornal.

Do you have alternate characters on the same server? 
Not as yet but quite possibly.

How did you hear of us?
Actually, I found out about saga through some old EQ FV forum I found while searching the interwebs.  Then I found a thread about saga going into TOR.  That sparked my interest, and the next thing I knew, I was exchanging pm's with Vin.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Not yet.  Just a couple of PM exchanges with Vin.  Looking forward to it, though.

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
I'll be honest.. my first experience with RP in game was becoming a member of a RP guild on the Silver Hand server in WoW.  I just had not had any exposure to it until that point.  I'm sure I'm not the most creative person when it comes to that... but I can at least be participative.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
I read a lot on the Saga site.  It reminded me of a lot of past experiences.  I've been a member of a guild that transcended the "game" before.  I still have friends that became much more than simple gaming partners as a result.  That is the impression that I gathered from reading up on Saga.  The game is simply a medium.  The friendships that result from it are the core of the family.  I miss that kind of bond.  It would be awesome to find it once again.

Tell us of your past.
So, it seems that there is one thing I do well.  I follow orders.  I wasn't sure I wanted to be a member of the special forces, but when you don't have anything else to really belong to, I guess it becomes easy to fit the mold of a soldier.  I'm not here for glory.  I'm not here for coin.  I'm here to get a job done and accomplish the mission.  Family?  Well, I have one, if you can call it that.  A two-bit father that would sell a week's rations for thimble of booze.  A mother long-lost to her own misery.  I wasn't sticking around for any of that.  So, here I am.  Ready to kick a little ass and try to carve out what measure of satisfaction I can.

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?

Hobbies?  Well, I suppose I can disassemble and reassemble every weapon known to the Republic.  I can also stack a deck of cards, hot-wire almost any transport, and find a stiff drink and a toilet in just about every language known.  Other than that, I can talk a bar maid out of her under... well, I don't have to tell you all of my secrets.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Well, that depends.  If I found the right squad to fall in with, well, I can see myself being in a right good spot with such a crew.  I can follow orders, and when it's time to get to business, I can do the dirty work without flinching.  That's what I do best.  I don't need any hand-holding.  Just give me the op-order, and I will move out.
