I have not tried the Kane stories, but love the Young Olympians.  I'm enjoying the second Olympian series, too.

Thanks Alirrin, I didn't realize the 2nd book of the new series was out!  :tan:    If anyone here is into modern teen gothic, check out The Mortal Instruments series from Cassandra Clare.. the vampires don't sparkle.  Also if you're into quirky wordplay in fantasy settings, The Xanth series from Piers Anthony rocks out.

Another good way to spend your free time: the Discworld series from Tarry Pratchett.  L-Space keeps a handy reading order guide to show how the various books concerning particular characters sequence.

Yeah, it's hard to decide who my favorite is.  Possibly Susan, or Moist von Lipwig.  Sam, Granny, and Nanny are all pretty awesome, though.
