Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in TOR so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

Just a reminder: After your board rank is changed to recruit, you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crew skills.

Hey all, sorry for not getting this filled out sooner.  My employer puts on a conference in mid January, and prep is taking a lot of our time.

How did you hear of us?

I had created a placeholder guild on the SWTOR site, and was contacted by Vilidus asking if I wanted to join Saga.  I accepted.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?

I have gotten to know a few people, though right now I've been using the limited play time I have available to level as much as I can.

What Roleplay games have you participated in?

As far as MMOs, I've been an active heavy roleplayer in WoW for around five years now, I believe, all five on the Moon Guard server.  I still have a number of characters over there, but I'm spending most of my time over on TOR these days.  I also played Second Life once upon a time, as well as Age of Conan and Champions Online, where I did try to roleplay occasionally.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?

Mainly a good community of dedicated RPers who won't be incensed if people aren't on and playing 24/7.  Eventually I'm hoping to do some endgame content (Operations and whatnot), but that's a long ways down the road at this point.

I did when I originally was invited into Saga, and I'm assuming nothing has changed since then.

((As the character is a member of a Special Forces squad, he doesn't tend to give out much information on himself, so I figured it would probably be more fitting to answer the questions through his personnel file, as obtained by a slicer.))

Name: Artan, Jarvis
Current Rank / Squad: Lieutenant, Commanding Officer, Abyss Squad
Backgroud: Lieutenant Artan was born to Mavra and Braedo Artan on the planet Taanab, a small Republic agricultural planet on the edge of the Inner Rim.  He joined the planetary militia at a young age, and enlisted in the Republic Army as soon as he was able.  He graduated from military training with honors, particularly in the fields of combat medicine and battlefield triage.  He served with distinction in the Outer Rim combat theater during the Great War with the Republic's 157th Ground Combat Division, earning praise from his superiors that translated into a reassignment to the Republic's Special Forces division.
Psychological Profile: Lieutenant Artan has repeatedly proven himself to be a staunch supporter of the Republic, as well as a highly moral, upstanding citizen.  Occasionally, however, this patriotism and morality has caused him to disobey orders he has judged to be incorrect, a trait that may prove difficult in the future.  He has demonstrated considerable leadership qualities, and inspires significant loyalty in the members of his operations squad.

Mission Profile:
Background: A prominent special forces squadron recently defected to the Empire, claiming that the Republic no longer respected its warriors.  This defection also triggered a number of others, harming the Republic's battle readiness.  These defections could also be a significant blow to morale if they were to be discovered by the general populace.  Abyss Squad, along with a number of other operations squads, has been tasked with eliminating the traitors before they can cause irreparable damage to the Republic.
Current Status: 1 of 5 targets eliminated.

Future Assignments:
Lieutenant Artan has made every indication that he will continue to serve with the Republic Special Forces following his current assignment.  Recently, he has been seen cooperating with a number of other Republic citizens, including working to take down the SD-0 combat behemoth droid, and it expected that he will continue to work with them in the future.
