OOC info:

Hello. This is just a story I have had in my mind for a while, and I will update it when I take the time to do so. :D It's a little backstory for Aldric, Jhared, Eyildr and the Phantom Squad.

Peace is a lie

Ghostbusters

"All clear, Captain." Knight's deep voice noted to his left. She was tall and the trooper armour made her seem even bulkier than she already was. She sat crouched in the grass while operating a scanner while the rest of the squad kept an eye out for enemies. They were a group of six, their presence shielded by trees and the shadow of a large research facility. All of them unmistakeably wore Republic armour. She indicated a few markers on a holo-image the scanner omitted, Aldric knew from experience it meant corpses. "Doesn't look like there's much left of the station's personnel, but there might be stragglers inside. Not counting on it though, these guys were thorough."

"Right. We'll split up in two teams and hit them from both entrances. If you find any enemies: Pacify them for questioning. Same thing with survivors." Aldric responded, strangely not with the tone of apathy Caeyrns usually had but the professionalism was not to missed. "Hawk, Sawbones with me to the front door. Knight, Crater you go with Jarhead through the rear entrance."

There was a quiet nod of acknowledgement around the group before each of them went off to their respective destinations. Aldric took point towards the large construct of durasteel and duracrete. Around the complex bodies were scattered dead and lifeless, some simply lying whole with marks from blasters, others missing limbs. Soldiers or civilians, it did not matter to their murderers.

"These aren't thugs. Much too precise and experienced." Sawbones calmly pointed out. It something Aldric himself had just begun to notice: The shots were not placed randomly on the Republic armour of these guards, it was placed on precise weak spots. These people would had most likely been killing Republic soldiers before going here. With a sour note Sawbones added: "Damn it. I hate going in blind."

"Might be Imps." Hawk commented, almost sounding as if he wished it so. The soldier's real name was Grav Nuron, a Balmorran with a great distaste for the Empire. He had been on the Phantom Squad for almost as long as Aldric had, and while he still remained sergeant he was an excellent sharpshooter and quite tech savvy.

When they reached the entrance it became blindingly obvious from the torn apart durasteel blastdoor that the aggressors had blown their way into the facility.

"Got a blast door in pieces here, how's it on your end, Jarhead?" Aldric asked into his helmet's radio.

"Same. Looks like they came here in numbers. Dead soldiers and civilians are everywhere, Alpha. Power is out too, nothing but rubble left." Jhared responded as cold as ever. Even if it was his biological brother he was talking to. He was a good second in command though and dependable to a fault.

"Very well. Keep us posted, Lieutenant." Aldric finished the exchange of data which Jhared acknowledge promptly afterwards. Turning to address Hawk and Sawbones Aldric continued talking. "Blaster rifles out, set shields to maximum. Stay alert."

In front of the entrance the group readied themselves in but a moment before stepping into the facility. Aldric first, then Sawbones and last was Hawk.
