I just snapped up the last Razer Naga in stock from a store I use. It'll take a little while to get to me but now I can join you gaming elite players with your fancy multi-buttons and not clumsily wasting precious seconds to activate a skill.

Champion Trolls beware.

(The subject is a reference to the Naga, a race of land-based snake people in Guild Wars 1 found primarily on the island of Shing Jea in Cantha, who were only mildly less unpleasant than the krait).

I am open to any tips for using this thing when it shows up.

Apply the button stickers as the instructions say, they really will help.  Basically just tough it out, it may seem odd at the start, but if you stick with it, it will be so much better.

Push all the buttons, really fast.
<-- Helpful!
The opinions expressed here are my own and I have my wife's permission to say so.

You don't have to push all of the buttons, just the big red one that says "Do not push this!"

I have a Razer Naga and a Razer Black Widow Keyboard.  Love them both.  However, due to the fewer weapon and ability utilities that you can have active at any one time in GW2 I find that I haven't really been needing to use the Naga keys very much - more out of habit than it helping.

Gith

I have a Naga. It is true when it says it will take 15-20hrs or something huge like that of competitive PvP to get used to it. But once you do it is awesome and lets you keep moving while still activating skills. The moving things seems important in GW2.

SW:TOR - Tecta (Dark) / ValGith (Light)
Diablo 3 - Alpharius #1269
Wildstar - Tecta
Lost Ark (NA East-Avesta) - Gith
WWZ - Gith_
FFXIV (NA-Cactaur) - Gith Redmayne

One thing that makes pressing the side buttons easier is to provide some resistance by keeping the right mouse button down all the time. I pretty much never let it up, so I have kind of this 3-fingered grip with my middle on the right mouse button, the ring-finger in the front side groove, and my pinkie up agains the right-side bump. My pointer finger and thumb really aren't involved in holding onto the mouse. They are free to left click, wheel-click (my new PTT button), and push those side buttons.

If you've ever fenced foil, it kind of reminds me of how the grip is really in the thumb and one finger instead of all five (same sort of concept, different fingers involved).

Enjoy your new reptilian buddy!
