The most interesting part is the garrison part - where you can build a base, recruit followers, upgrade it etc .
Otherwise same old same old for me.

Nice of them to finally update the ancient player models, but the idea of the expansion sounds kind of... dumb. Or is it just me?

No it is pretty silly. While some parts are interesting, its fairly muddled over all.

Im talking with old friends and rpers while watching the streaming. The lore panel for wow seems like its on drugs and just out of it , which is pretty funny to watch but sad as well.

Going back to Draenor in the past isn't a bad idea, and would have made for a killer patch, but as an entire expansion? And they said it will lead into the next expansion; are they abandoning the current time line? It just seems really weird, and kind of lazy. I mean, had it been a different company, I probably would have given them the benefit of the doubt and say they have really cool stuff they've come up with to explore this idea, but I haven't seen anything from Blizz in a long time that makes me think this isn't just, "Let's re-do old stories and characters so we don't have to come up with new stuff. We can even go back to old zones and just change it up a bit. There. Expansion done."

Warcraft lore must be a giant clusterfuck at this point.

But the new models look pretty good. At least when it eventually becomes F2P and I go back to mess around in it, it will look nicer.

Its not that bad actually.

Just muddled - in a nutshell the lore is:"

Garrosh hell scream is being tried for his crimes by the horde. He escapes with the help of a corrupted bronze dragon who helps him go back in time and meet the horde before it consumed demonic blood and fell under the thrall of the burning legion. He is planning on using them to take revenge on the current alliance and horde who threw him down and were trying him for genocidal war crimes. Anyway , this creates an alternate timeline .  He also brings back more modern plans for weapons/siege. The old horde reunites , ignores Garrosh and goes on a big rampage. They plan on using the time portal to come to our current timeline and reality and take it over as well.
So the horde and alliance team up and go through the portal to this new timeline/reality set in the past before the orc/dranei homeworld got destroyed ( and it never will now that the burning legion didn't corrupt the orcs ) and stop the new murderous iron legion horde .

So while the lore does make sense , its just convoluted.
No new classes or races, although updated player models. Beautiful draenie lore and architecture as well as orc lore and architecture. The uncorrupted draenor is beautiful and savage and the garrison gameplay looks neat. Its just too much of the same. Unfortunately , a little to late for my interest. I will probably play it midway through the next expansion on and off just to see the new garrison stuff but not more than that Im afraid.

Actually that looks very good and interesting - I will definitely play that. I actually started playing hearthstone today as well when I heard they will make it come out for phones. Great game - simple but fun and fast.

I wasn't referring to the lore leading into the expansion, I meant in regards to what they might do to the lore, retconning and changing things. There was already a lot of lore that was forgotten, left cold, retconned, abandoned, etc. that it's hard to keep up. Going back into the past, I would think, would only make things much worse.
