OMFG.....  I nearly cried....

What an amazing show....  I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before....  That season premiere was....intense.

Where are Pryce and Wystro when I need to discuss things!?  *pouts*

We're in the early stages of season 2 over here. Glad to hear season 3 is going well. :)

Still only seen season one, as I'm too mean to pay for cable TV.  Very impressed by that, though !

the horror, the horror... i didn;t realize the premier was two hours long so my usual paranoid fear of missing the ending of a show which has me set my VCR a half hour beyond the schedule show finish still left me about 30 minutes short of seeing the whole thing.    :'(

but don;t worry, having seen many such sci-fi type shows i can only say one thing for certain. Any and every baby on that or any other similar genre show will end up with some sort of super power 100 times more powerful than anyone else in that universe has so the series will end in a three way brawl between little Kasey and Boomer's baby (did it ever get a name?) and Cally's baby (Nate was it?)

but yes my favorite part was when fat Apollo was complaining to Dee (who i seem to like less and less each season- kinda like the Lana effect on Smallville) about how Adama said he was soft- while stuffing a fistful of some sort of snack in his mouth.

<is capable of filling in for any BSG discussions until Pryce and/or Wystro return>

Anaris

ahahahaha Fat Apollo, it's so weird!  How did he get so fat?!  It makes no sense...  Don't they have, like, ration food?

Superbabies, you're right about that...  I still think Callie is a sleeper Cylon, I don't know why I get that from her...

And they really are superbabies because Kasey shouldn't be more than like a year and a half old, but she's the size of a three year old...  I'm really curious to see the mortality of these hybrid babies... Like, what happens when they die?  Do they die permanently like humans or are they going to revive in a body replica like the Cylons?

You know what's bothering me?  That everyone's saying this show is a criticism on the Iraq war...  So not true, it's a criticism on all of history really...  Before I even thought of the parallels with the Iraq war I thought about Nazi Germany, World War II, concentration camps, the Bosnian war, rape camps, Darfur, the dirty war in Argentina, Che Guevara, the Cuban Revolution, the 2000 elections, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, the Brazilian death squads, and Pinochet....   They're drawing material from all of the above...  It's brilliant... This occured to me BEFORE I even thought of Iraq...

Gosh, there's just so much awesomeness in this show!

Eh, I guess we can't really talk too much about it here though, people are still on seasons 1 and 2....  Must....not.....give away anything....

*waits patiently*

But damnit, where are Pryce and Wystro!?   :viking2:

You could change the title to "BSG Season 3 SPOILERS INSIDE"
The opinions expressed here are my own and I have my wife's permission to say so.

ah i hope Cally's not a sleeper Cylon, she's my favorite of the "minor characters" though i suppose she qould fit the bill,- female cylons = hotties, male cylons = normal/older guys.

everyone makes the Iraq connection because that happens to be the current war so "obviously" any war related program must be making some sort of comment on it. the whole settlement does have a bit of a concentration camp look though.

guess i should take the extra spolier related stuff to PMs i guess.

Wystro

Of course I loved it -- It's so wonderful and sad at the same time how Baltar and 6's dreams have come true just to fall to pieces. I love all of it and the nerve that it takes to dive into those themes. The best fantasy and sci-fi dives into the human condition and themes, and Battlestar Galactica ranks way up there as far as I'm concerned.
