edit: sorry, tried to directly link the movie but it didn't work.

Watched this last night and it looks like they did their homework.  In retrospect, I'm surprised the Blizzard folks went along with it.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious, and genius marketing on Blizzard's case.   Sure, it made fun of no-life gamers, but who doesn't? :-)

I want to see it so badly!!!  I can't find it on Youtube, only the preview one....  My I-hate-mmorpgs boyfriend found it really funny, and he doesn't even like/understand WoW!!!  I have to see it....

How do you kill something that has no life?

I saw it, and I really did think it was hilarious.  They did a good job and what was funny was the Teamspeak portion of it.  I thought it was funny when one of the members went AFK in the middle of the epic fight.  I also thought it was funny watching the griefer who didn't even shake when his character got killed - he just kinda sat there.

I liked that a lot.  I wondered when they were going to take on the MMorgs!   :mf_swordfight:

Namae Nai

Weren't they using teamspeak, even though they were in the same room together?  ^-^

haha yeah toward the end there, they were so numb to anything else I don't think they've noticed.... 'cmon you know you've done it too!  When Thoerin and I were dating, and we'd be playing in the same room, we'd still send each other /tells instead of actually turning around and talking...

lam3, I know...

i liked the part when Stan's father comes in and tells him he should stop sitting around playing video games and go play with his friends and Stan tells him that he is, he's playig WoW with them right then and they;re using teamspeak to talk to each other. Stan's father slumps his shoulders and walks away in defeat because Stan WAS doing what he told him to...while sitting in front of the computer

Dirkk and I watched it and we were just rolling laughing. The whole time we were going "oh so true...so true". They nailed it on the head!

First off, that was fabulous.
I love that Video games are usuable as cartoons now, they are that advenced.
They pegged it perfectly, in South Park style of course.  Like telling his mom he needs to poop.

And the extra animations for the smashing of the head and the death scene.

Finally, My recording missed the last line.
They said, "What do we do now?"
And Cartman says, "What do you mean? We can finally....

What do he say?
The opinions expressed here are my own and I have my wife's permission to say so.

I love the physical transformation they made. They really got the gamer's physique down cold! The whole episode was too incredibly funny.

Coyote from the EQ2 forums had a nice writeup on this in his blog on TenTonHammer.
