Caillou

Caillou saunters into the tavern, a young wood elf wearing a dark teal tunic the colour of which nicely sets off the dark auburn of her short hair. In each hand she carries a blade and the pommels of two more peak from the above her packs.

Caillou quickly surveys the room from near the doorway, spies an empty table near the wall by the door, and strides purposefully to it. She lays the blades in her hands on the floor with a small bit of clatter. From the top of a pack she draws another one-handed blade & lays it with the first two. She then draws a long blade, seeming almost to be as long as she is tall making one wonder where she could have held it. She lays the 2 handed sword with the other blades, its pommel making a soft brassy gong when it connects with the floor. Caillou shrugs out of her packs, letting them pool in an untidy heap. She takes her bow from over her head and shoulder and gently, reverently places it on the table. She strokes the dark reddish wood softly, lovingly, almost as if the bow were a pet or a beloved companion.

Caillou looks up and finds a barmaid standing expectantly near at hand. Caillou smiles broadly, fumbles for her pouch of coins, and asks, "Can I please have an ale?" The barmaid returns the smile and nods. As the barmaid goes to get the drink, Caillou opens her thin pouch, frowns, and pulls out a few small coins. When the barmaid returns, Caillou hands her the coin in exchange for the drink, smiles warmly, friendly and says "Thank you."

Drink in hand, Caillou sits on the edge of the chair, almost perching, but not sinking in ro her seat fully or comfortably, almost as if she could take flight at any moment. Caillou takes a sip of the amber liquid and sets the small stein on the table, then looks around, even a glance to the rafters, to see who is in the room. Caillou nervously bites the inside of her lip and takes a deep breath, as if to set courage in place. From the array of weapons and her nervous behaviour, it almost looks as if she is more comfortable facing down a foe than meeting a possible friend for the first time.

Siffo
Silly Old Rogue

*Siffo is standing beside Caillou, He makes a slight "hmm" noise so as not to startle her*

Thats a mighty fine set of blades ya have there and a beautiful bow. Hopefully some day we can get a chance and I will show you my pride and joy, I am sure my skill with a bow is not at your level but it is my most prised possession.

Ah well, I can not stop for long but I wanted to say "Hi" and mayhap we will meet in our travels. Sit, relax, those of us that stop in here do it often so they could drop in at any time.

*Siffo looks up at the rafters*

And I do mean that literally. *He notices the ale* Ah some of Tuppens finest, iffin ya like it let him know. He works hard at getting it just right.

*Again Siffo looks at the rafters. Caillou glances up to find what he is looking for, when she looks back down he is gone as suddenly as he appeared*

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

After listening to Siffo & following his gaze to the rafters only to look back again & notice he is gone. Caillou ponders a moment and really wishes he'd have let her say something, anything, or at least give her a chance to chucke at him and give him a smile.

Caillou chuckles anyway and takes another sip of the ale. She slides jsut a bit further back in her seat and takes another sip. She rolls the ale around in her mouth appreciating its nice mellow flavour.

Bindi the Hobbit
Creeping Crook

An earth elemental walks into the tavern and up to the bar, causing many heads to turn. It drops some bags to the floor and goes around behind the bar, coming back a few moments later with a large bucket of water which it carries back outside. A splash is heard, followed by the entrance of Bindi back into the tavern, soaked from head to toe and streaked with clay.

The barmaid cocks an eyebrow at her "Wow Bindi, that was a lot of clay! What did you do? Fall into the pit?" Bindi grins broadly and looks around to see who all is there. She notices the elf by the door and walks over to her table.

"Ello lass, donna think I seen ye in here afore! My name be Bindi Thunderbelly, owner an propri..err owner o Bindi's Pottery Emporium in Shadow Haven. I make tha finest steins in tha land!" She glances down at the small stein the elf is drinking from and beams with pride. "Mind ifn I join ye?"

Bippin Tenderfoot
Elfhugging Halfling

Bippin enters the tavern, burdened by too many packs, as always. Looking very travel weary, he shuffles in. He looks in, and sees Caillou in her seat, looking very tense.
"Caillou !!' this comes out almost a shout. He drops his packs where he stands, and as if he just had a good night's sleep hurries to her side, pulls her out of her seat and hugs her tightly. "How great to find you here, what a pleasant surprise".
He grins widely.
"waitress, get us a keg of Tupp finest, and a few deep cavern burbons please".
Turning to Caillou again, he says "so we can try again your burbon with an ale chaser, it worked fine last time, didn't it?" He chuckles at the thought.

Grabbing a mug full of ale he turns around "everyone, this is Caillou. She's a ranger I met on Luclin, not too long ago. Come and say hi, she's really wonderful."

He sits down, notices Caillou still standing, and pulls her down to the seat next to him, and hands her a mug. He smiles at her.
"Sit back, relax, enjoy the beer. We all come here to relax and unwind, so take advantage of that" He grins broadly.
"It's really good to see you here" he repeats, taking a sip from his ale.

Finally noticing Bindi, he pulls her down to the seat on his other side. "Why are you still standing Bindi, grab a mug and relax. Have you met Caillou yet?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

Caillou had her mouth open to reply to Bindi when she was bowled over by Bippin's enthusiastic greeting. She blushes to the tips of her pointed ears with Bippin's praise. "Not wonderful," she mumbles, "jsut me" as she gets pulled back down to sit, still a bit shocked.

Caillou blinks a couple times at Bindi and Bippin then smiles brightly and broadly at Bippin and begins to giggle.

"You invited me here, Bippin," she says, "so why would you be surprised?" She looks at the bourbon on the table & thinks it might be better to be able to speak coherently for a bit.

Caillou gives Bippin a hug then turns her smile to Bindi. "I was about to ask if I could buy you a drink, but... well... I will another time since Bippin is too generous this time." <aside> "Careful, bourbon with a lager chaser can be a potent combo. Tasty, but potent." Caillou picks up a bit of clay that got rubbed off on to the edge of the table & rolls it in her fingers. "Pottery, a nice earthy skill. Maybe once I have attained the highest ability possible in fletching, maybe then that will be the hobby I take up. I keep waiting to go play with Muddites in the Gorge... I hear they give muddy clay to passing strangers. Been wanting to pick some up to try my hand at potting. I am Caillou Kyrielle, master fletcher, though not yet grand master." She laughs and knows the slimness of her pouch is due to the cost of fletching at the higher levels.

Caillou slips back a bit further in her seat, a bit of a blissful smile on her face. She turns again toward Bindi, but tries not to turn too far so she blocks out Bippin. "Bippin and I have been chatting a bit, as he said, so I'd really like to meet, to get to know others of you as well. Bindi, why did you take up pottery?" Caillou cocks her head to one side, curiousity plain on her face.

Titaisia
Wishful Dreamer

Titaisia walks into the tavern, smiling happily at the sight of her friends. "Hi there, everyone!" She pulls a sitting cushion over near to her friend Bippin and relaxes after her journey.

"Bippin!" She hugs Bippin, then regards Caillou. "This is...?" At Bippin's slight nod, Titaisia breaks into a smile. "Hi there, Caillou! I am Titaisia Lightheart! Bippin has told me about you. Don't worry, everything he said was nice nice! I am glad glad you are here!" Titaisia smiles as a bottle of wine is handed to her. Reaching into her pack lying beside her, she fills a beautiful chalice with wine, then sets the bottle before the others. "Help yourselves!" She settles comfortably on the cushion, sipping her wine and glancing curiously around her with emerald green eyes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

"Hello, Titaisia," says Caillou still smiling, but if possibly a little broader. "That is a very very lovely chalice. Do you always say things in double?" Caillou eyes the wine but realises she hasn't a glass and sips again from her ale.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Titaisia
Wishful Dreamer

"Thank you, Caillou! I won it from some meanies in the Scarlet Desert. They may be mean mean, but they have nice chalices!" Titaisia giggles. "Say things in double?" Titaisia looks puzzled for a moment, then smiles. "Not always, nope. Just sometimes... Well, most of the time, maybe."

Titaisia watches Caillou's eyes, then waves to the serving girl. "Can we get a wineglass, please? Thank you!"

"Bindi! I am sorry I didn't say anything to you! I haven't seen you in a long long time! Ummm... I think you missed a little clay?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

Caillou pours a small measure of wine into the glass and takes a sip. Her eyes widen in delight at the taste. She pours a bit more into her glass.

"Scarlet Desert? Where might that be? I have not gone there yet.

"Oh & I like your way of emphasising something by saying it twice, jsut wondered if you always did it." Caillou grins.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bindi the Hobbit
Creeping Crook

*Bindi crosses her eyes to see the smudge on her nose and wipes it off* Better Tita? hehe *She hugs the Jharin*

*Bindi turns back to the elf* Pleased ta meet ye lass! Any friend o Bip here be a friend o mine hehe. Pottery...eh, I took it up first off so's I could make poiso...err vials ta put stuffs in heh. Then I stumbled upon some scrolls wot told o some perdy steins an idols an such I could make an me Emporium took off from there! Tis dirty work, but then, I'm a bit o a tomboy an gettin dirty never much bothered me!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Titaisia
Wishful Dreamer

"You got it, Bindi! Now you are pretty pretty again!"

"Yup yup! The Scarlet Desert is on Luclin It is beyond Katta Castellum and the Twilight Sea. The sun always shines there, and mean and hostile things wander the red sands. It can be scary scary." Titaisia pauses for a drink, then says with a smile, "You should go! It might be exciting! Just be careful careful if you go."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

Caillou laughs with Bindi's words. "I too am a tomboy," she said. "I agree, a little dirt never hurt anyone." She grins impishly. "Evil Eyes, now them do hurt."

Caillou turns to Titaisia. "I have been to a few places on Luclin and keep going to explore more of the moon. I think Shar Vahl is exceptionally beautiful for a city. Not as confusing to get around, either. I haven't yet been to Katta Castellum or the Twilight Sea though I have read about them and want to go see them." Caillou ponders a moment. "I should try to find a map to follow. I like excitement. Though, only being in my 25th season, you can be assured I always always try to be careful."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caillou

When the others had left, Caillou takes a few pebbles out of her pouch, some of bright blue crystal and scatters them on the table. She picks her packs up off the floor and shrugs them on. She sheaths the great blade and one of the smaller blades on her back. She reverently picks up her bow & slings it over her shoulder then runs her hand down the string that crosses her heart. Lastly, she takes her other blades, one in each hand.

She saunters to the door, then turns and smiles at the now empty room. She nods and thinks to herself, a nice place; I'm going to like it here. She walks out the door, a bright smile on her face.
