Rorack sits in the deepest hole in Ak'Anon, where him and his brother used to go when they were young.
My brother is dead. My twin brother at that. And there is only one person I can think of that could do such a thing. I'm sure how I came to meet this person will take some explaining, and perhaps will change you're opinion of me, but I am done hiding the truth.
Well I suppose it started right about here, at this very spot. My brother was supposed to meet me here one day, and he never showed up. He went missing for quite some time, my parents thought him dead, but I wouldn't believe it. Twins have this bond, and I still felt it so I couldn't give up hope. I set out to find him.
I looked everywhere I could think to find him. I asked everyone I saw all around Faydwer. No one had seen him, like he just up and disappeared. I headed back to Ak'Anon to let my parents know that I was going to travel across the ocean to look for him.
On my way though Lesser Faydark I saw my parents from a distance. They never left Ak'Anon, I wondered why they were out here. Always a little trickster I hid behind a tree so I could startle them when they got close. Then all of a sudden I heard a horse galloping toward us. I peaked out just in time to see that horrible thing and what it did to my father. He looked up and saw me just as the green spell bubbles engulfed him and he fell to the ground. Then it turned on my mother. I ran out from my hiding spot, I knew there was nothing I could do, but I had to try. My mother glanced over at me and smiled, and then she too was engulfed in the spell bubbles. I was merely a youngun, what could I do against such a formidable foe. I pulled my rod out of my pack, I swore that I would never use this thing as a weapon since it was so pretty, but I had no other choice. The horse got close enough so I could feel its breath on my face. I reached back to swing my rod at it, and something grabbed my arm.
I looked up to see what had slowed my attack and saw a blue hand holding my arm still! Incredible I thought, Now not only was I faced with the evil horse that I thought was only legend, but now I also have a dark elf to deal with! He released his grip on my arm and pointed at the horse and from behind him somewhere a skeleton barreled down on the foul thing. He began to cast spell after spell, the horse started running in fear. I watched as it ran out of my sight and ran to check on my parents.
Alas, they were both dead. The last of my family was now gone. Where could I go? The darkie walked up to me, slumped over my parents.
"Come, he will be back," he said.
I could not move, could not speak.
"Come, I'll bring you somewhere safe."
I just looked up at him, then slumped back down over my parents. He picked me up and slung me over his shoulder and started running towards the safer part of the forest.
We arrived at the spires.
"Where are we going?" I finally choked out.
"Neriak," he replied "not sure how I'll get you in there, they don't much like outsiders, that is the least of our problems right now."
