Gwenae

You have been invited as a recruit to our family!  In order to complete your application you should be sure to read the following information, if you have not already done so.

I have more information to get for you, but I must find those papers.

In any case, once you are handed an application (currently under revision), you must fill it out and post it on the board.  Then it is important to meet with and get to know our members.  The guild will then give there feelings about you as a member and then the Guild Leaders and Officers will take a vote in order to induct you as a full member or determine that you are not a good fit for the guild.

Please be sure to attend the guild meeting tonight at 8 pm EST in the Saga Tavern.  It is located in North Qeynos at Irontoes.  Go up the stairs and knock on the first door to the left and ask for Sagacity at the door.

I welcome you and am certain that you will enjoy your time with us.  The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy one anothers company!

Welcome Laedonon!

Thank You, Gwenae!   I'm honored by the invitation.

It was dramatic, though. I was quite surprised!  Although, if I have to get suprised, I can't think of a nicer or more beautiful elf than you to do it!

What guild are you applying to (Saga or Sequel)?

Saga

Please write an introduction to your character, including name, race, gender, class, alignment, god(if any). If you tradeskill or have other talents, please include those as well.

Name: Laedonon Lofton
Race: High Elven
Gender: Male
Class:  Templar
Alignment:  Good.  Very..Good.
God:  Tunare
Tradeskill:  Scholar.  (I've been trying to learn tradeskills and I'm looking forward to this guild helping me with that).
Other talents:  provisioning (I make great coffee!), undead nukes

Introduction:  Laedonon's Personality is friendly and helpful.  Maybe a little TOO friendly and helpful - Laedonon wants nothing more than to be a part of the action, healing and crushing Undead.  He's new and uncertain in Qeynos, but he reacts as he always does in that situation - by making new friends and helping anyone he meets.  This often distracts from his studies, which keeps his skills lower than they should be, but he would rather be doing good than just about anything.

Do you have alternate characters (horde or alliance/freeport or qeynos) on same server?

Yes-
Ojel:  Erudite 14 Illusionist
Glimegh:  Gnome 8 Warden
Foutos:  Dwarf 8 Paladin

How did you hear of us?

The mighty Gwenae.  Isn't she great?

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
IC - I've talked to so many SAGA members I can't list them all.  To my knowledge, I've had at least a passing conversation with 22 different Guild members or alts.

OOC - Gwenae.  (Isn't that enough?)

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
Hmm.. played D&D for a long time - still run games occasionally.  Ran a LARGE Supergroup (Guild) in City of Heroes for 1.5 yrs.  Played WOW and DDO but prefer EQ2!

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
I am looking for an opportunity to work with people who love roleplaying more than dungeon crawling.  However, I would like to work in parties healing as well.  Finally, I'd love to get my Scholar skills up to snuff.

Have you read and agree to our Guild Policies and Guidelines?
YES.  All of them!

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:

Tell us of your past.
I was born in Faydwer almost 300 years ago.  My Mother was a Paladin and my Father a Templar like myself.  As highborn, they were often away on quests for Tunare or on behalf of the Queen.  As I began my Templar training, they were assigned to be the Faydwer ambassadors to Ak'Anon for 20 years. I went with them.

We met the Gnomish delegation 2 leagues from Ak'Anon.  As introductions began, a horrible keening filled the air.  From the ground beneath us came the arms and legs of the horde of the breaking - the undead.   All the gnomes and most of the Elves died that day.  Many of the elves had been my friends and family.  the Gnomes were friends and family of the good people I was soon to know well.  I do not forget or forgive the Accursed.  I hope to eraidicate this scourge from Norrath.

Among the Gnomes I learned the value of an irreverrent nature.  That it is possible to take oneself too seriously, and thus alienate the lesser races that follow Tunare.  This can lead to friction that prevents the understanding and collaboration necessary to bring about the restoration of Norrath as the paridise it is truly destined to be.

Among the Gnomes I also learned that a helpful and friendly nature will always be welcome among good folk of all races.  This was a valuable lesson as I left Ak'Anon for Qeynos.  My first friend upon arriving was Gwenae, who extolled the virtues of Saga from just about day one.  She has been my guide, mentor, and dear friend as I have learned (sometimes painfully) the ways of Qeynos and Antonica.

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?
I dabble in writing and cooking.  I LOVE a good cup of coffee and a glass of wine... Oh.. Well, My primary goal in life is to serve the Good folk who battle the forces of Evil.  I know that sounds a bit corny, but it's true. I'm never happier than healing, unless it's smiting the hateful Undead.  Tunare has sent me to find others who are willing to destroy them, and to work to heal both their bodies and minds.  their bodies I can heal with spells - their minds will need my friendship.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
I would like to get to know the people in my new Guild.  If accepted as a member, I would like to take an active part in growing the Guild and spreading its name far and wide as I travel Norrath.

I would like to "branch out" a bit.  I tend to still be a bit focused on my life as a Templar, and I would like to explore my scholarly and culinary studies.

Finally, I would like to lead an expedition someday against the most powerful of Undead.  I'd love it to be a Saga expedition..
