Anaris

What guild are you?
The Saga!

Please write an introduction to your character, including name, race, gender, class, alignment, god(if any). If you tradeskill or have other talents, please include those as well.

Samina Pierceblade
Ayr'dal, unknown origins
Female
Guardian
Good-aligned
Haven't quite yet picked a deity for her but probably will be The Tribunal.
She's a jeweler by trade and runs a clandestine body piercing and tattoo business through Anaris' spa.   Anaris has no clue, of course, or she'd have a heart attack.

Do you have alternate characters (horde or alliance/freeport or qeynos) on same server?
Anaris is my main, Aramaia and Samina are alts.  All Qeynos-aligned, in Saga.

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
EQ, EQ2, WoW, ShadowBane, GuildWars, Lineage2, FF, Vanguard, DnL...

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:

Tell us of your past.

Not much to say 'cept that I was raised by the servants in the House of Astyrhim.  Sir Astyrhim senior found me when I was a younglin' in one of his huntin' expeditions in what used to be Surefall Glades.  I was badly wounded, broken bones and a bleedin' slash across the right side of my face.  I still have the scar...

*subconsciously touches the right side of her face and runs a finger over the disfiguring scar, which extends from the right temple down to her cheek*

Sir Astyrhim's huntin' mate and cleric healed me, then they brought me to Qeynos to recover.  Lady Anareiel, Sir Astyrhim's beloved wife, took care o' me while I healed.  She was the kindest, most generous lady I ever met.  Once I was strong enough, instead of throwin' me out like the bastard child I was, she let me stay and live with 'em.  I was welcomed by their servants with open arms, and the servants became like my family.  Sir Astyrhim and Lady Anareiel had two daughters, Templar-in-training Aramaia and Lady Anaris.  They were about the same age as me, Templar Aramaia slightly older than Lady Anaris and I.

As kids, we played games and had a lot of fun.  Templar Aramaia was always the quiet, more serious one.   Lady Anaris, on the other hand, used to get us into trouble.  She'd dare me to do things and I'd do them, sometimes gettin' me into a lot of trouble.  I guess I tried so hard to gain her approval that I didn' think 'bout the consequences most of the time.  Plus, nobody ever taught me right from wrong so I just assumed I wasn't doin' wrong, her being Koada'dal and all,  'cept in the end they saw me as their errand girl, not their playmate.

Lady Anareiel was always lookin' out for me, though, even taught me how to read and speak better.  And I think that upset Lady Anaris a wee bit.  She started to get kinda mean to me, calling me Orc-face or Half-Breed and other ugly names 'cause of my scar and mixed blood.  I think she thought maybe I wasn't worthy of her mother's attention.  When Lady Anareiel passed, Tunare bless her soul, she made Lady Anaris promise that she wouldn't be so mean to me and that she'd never abandon me in the streets 'cause I ain't really got nobody else but them.  Lady Anaris promised to her mother that she'd be nicer and Templar Aramaia said she'd look out for me.  I guess Lady Anaris has been nicer since, she at least don't call me any names no more and she gave me a job at her spa. *shrugs*

When Lady Anaris and Templar Aramaia left their parents' home to live on their own in South Qeynos, I left with them (unwillingly, but I had little choice!)  I work for them and in exchange they feed me and give me a place to live.  I do anything they ask, from cleaning out the spa tubs at the Castleview Spa to dusting Templar Aramaia's shrines to the gods.  I do have a, um, operation of my own, but more 'bout that later....  *winks*

I am Ayr'dal of unknown origins.  I have no idea if I'm half-Feir'dal and half-Human or half-Teir'dal and half-Barbarian.  All I know is the ladies assure me I've got no Koada'dal in me because that would be sacrilege to their race.  *sighs*  My guess is I'm probably Half-Feir'dal, Half-whatever...  In any case, my hobbies are jewel crafting and piercing.  I run a back business through Lady Anaris' spa, though she ain't got a clue.  She'd probably kill me if she found out.  I pierce folks for a living, ears, noses, you name it, I pierce it.   I make my own studs and hoops!   I dabble in tattoo artistry a bit too, but I'm still in the learnin' stages... Volunteers accepted.... *chuckles*

I got some piercings myself that I did when I was experimenting with the art as a teenager, see?

*flashes a smile and shows off the multiple piercings on her face and ears*

I figured, my fate made me all scarred, so why not make an art out of pokin' holes through my face?  Might as well go all the way!

*winks and grins*

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?

I have very little time for hobbies between working for the Astyrhim sisters and running my clandestine piercing shop.  It's not illegal, I swear!  It's more...underground.  It's just....uh, it's too much of a pain to get all the Qeynos health codes in place, but I sterilize everything!  *whispers*  In Anaris' spa, even.  *chuckles*

I do like a good tavern hoppin' night or two, when in good company.  That's 'bout it.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I try not to think too ahead.  The way things are in Norrath, one just never knows...  But I am content where I am now...in Qeynos, and within The Saga's halls.
