[TOR] Welcome Seleur! {RC}

Hi! I'm pretty new to this, so bear with me, and I may be saying hi wrong. I'm playing The Old Republic, and my character's name is Seleur D'Salantia. He's a Republic Special Forces trooper of mixed human/Echani blood with a strong lightsided slant and a taste for classical music, something inherited from his Alderaanian father, a string musician. He has a sister in the Jedi Order, but he has no Force sensitivity at all. It doesn't stop him from holding a deep respect for the Order, and for a few months he even served as a hand-to-hand instructor for padawans, compliments of his holding a Republic military championship for his weight. There's much more to him, but that's it for now, so please forgive me if I put this in the wrong place!

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in TOR so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

Roster Card for Saga.

Seleur D'Salantia is a human/Echani hybrid hailing from two planets: Alderaan, the planet of his father Jax, and of course Eshan. Jax is highly-regarded classical musician specializing in stringed instruments, and in this capacity he met his future wife, Maeviana, an Echani Sun Guard of the Senator of Eshan. Like all Sun Guards, Maeviana is a master martial artist in all three Echani forms of combat, though she prefers the second form, a submission oriented ground-combat style. Actually, their first meeting was a one-sided bludgeoning where she pounded on the hapless musician when he tried to present the Senator with his bow, which she thought was a weapon. They quickly fell in love and had three children. Seleur is the eldest, followed by Valina and Evantra. Though his looks favor his human side-only streaks of silver in his otherwise very blue eyes give him away-Seleur possesses the blinding Echani natural reflexes and single-minded obsession with perfection, leading him to master the Echani forms at a very young age. In fact, he won the Section and later Republic tournaments in his weight class at the age of fifteen. He's also a talented musician. However, his family is deeply patriotic to the Republic, and instead of performing for crowds in the ring and the stage, he enlisted in the Republic Army before completing his final year at the University of Alderaan. He quickly attained the rank of Sergeant and passed selection with the elite 27th Jump Infantry Regiment of Colonel Ranna Geist. Colonel Geist noticed his potential and immediately recommended him for Special Forces Division. He passed the Tier One unit's legendarily hard-and classified-Selection process and proceeded to the two-year long Operator' Course. Upon graduation, General Garza demanded that the highly-intelligent soldier finish college and accept a commission, order to which he grudgingly complied. He then took command of SecForce Squadron 416, "Venom", Special Force's premire
   Besides his martial arts skills, Sel brings a high level of intelligence to play, as well as a classical education and Jedi connections, as his sisters are full-fledged knights of the order. He always thinks before he shoots, and though deeply patriotic, he is bound by a powerful moral code. He never harms the innocent, and always puts the lives and welfare of others before his own safety. He, like his entire family, is extremely lightsided, something that sometimes brings him into conflict with his superiors, as he prefers good over law. He hates the Empire, but not the Imperial people, seeing them as enslaved puppets to a brutal, cruel regime. Rather than kill them, he would like to free them, claiming that: "taking a life is never easy, and never should be." Despite this, he is a ferocious and masterful warrior, unmatched in hand-to-hand combat and in marksmanship.

I have spoken with several people in game, and I immensely enjoyed them all. I hope to get my fiance into Saga as well, if she ever caves and begins to play!

Not too many. My friends in the Army got me into D&D and into Star Wars D20, but I'm a bit of a closet nerd.

I'm looking for online friends to RP with. I mean that cleanly, as despite my infantry profession, I'm a devout Catholic. Well, I try to be. being Irish, I love fighting, the drink, and one woman. Only one woman.

I'm a half Echani/half human Lieutenant in the Republic Army Special Forces. I grew up on both Alderaan and Eshan, two places very dear to my heart, and I hold a degree in Republic history. I also speaks five languages. My father is a musician, my mother a warrior, and my sisters are Jedi Knights. I also deeply love music, and I have a serious soft spot for animals.

I love music, and I play with rabid interest. I write poetry too, though I'm somewhat shy about it. I will drink on occasion, mostly Corellian whiskey and Alderaanian wine. These are my true loves besides my martial arts, which I practice even more than music.

I see myself in a free galaxy, cleansed of the oppression of the Sith. I will do what it takes to preserve the liberty and safety of the people of the Republic, and I hope to win over the enslaved masses of the Empire. I will pay any price, and no sacrifice is too great for duty.
