Hello all!

I'll be joining you all in Swtor in a few months so I figured I should head over here and say hello. Looking forward to Rp'ing in the old republic. I'll most likely be a human Jedi Consular once we get in game.

For MMO experience, I played Ragnarok online a long time ago, then I played WoW for 3-4 years. While I've never RP'ed in an MMO before I have RP'ed on forums and a little D&D so I'll have a little to learn but hopefully I'll pick it up quickly. Bit of a star wars geek here so I think SWTOR will be a good MMO fit for me. I love the old republic era and hoping to build some really cool RP's. I sorta of have a name picked out for in game but since we're still pretty far off seems a little pointless.

Personal details are that I'm 26 years old, and I'm Canadian eh? Live in south western Ontario. Like I already said I'm a bit of a Star wars geek, and have a solid video gaming habit. Also to note I like Winter, the colour Orange, Apple pie, and camping and in the summer I tend to be in the garden. :idiot2:

So I guess I'll leave it at that for now. I look forward to getting to know some new folks and have some good adventures in TOR!

Welcome Thibideau. We always have pie so it's a great fit.
We do have a quota of Canadians. It's EH-ty, and we have a ways to go.
The opinions expressed here are my own and I have my wife's permission to say so.

Auric

You can never have too many Canadians! Unless there's a hockey riot going on, we're usually pretty tame :p

Vifi Sunfell

You used the word "colour" and I'm totally fine with that.  :D

Jhared

Another colonial, well there you go. :ime

(Welcome :D )

Nice to meet ya! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, wasn't that this weekend up north?

Make sure you share turkey and pumpkin pie leftovers with us all please. :)

-Elly

PinkRose

I don't think they will be good in 5 weeks.
SEE? SEE? She's trying to poison us with moldy turkey leftovers! I knew it!

Auric

Pie tastes good all the time :p Especially when your grandma is the one who does all the baking.

The only thing that sucked about thanksgiving this year is that I was accpeted to play a certain game for the weekend(And 1 weekend only), but had to go spend 8 hours at house that only had a dial up connection.

Do you have alternate characters on the same server?
I will eventually level some alts, but the type of player I am usually has me focus on my main character until I'm satisfied. So while I will have them created and sitting dormant, expect me to spend most of my time on my main character.

How did you hear of us?
Well I played a beta of SWTOR back in October, during Canadian Thanksgiving, and I loved the feel of the game, but I realised that the game would be much more enjoyable with other people to play with. So after the beta weekend I began to use the guild search function to narrow down my choices. Saga just stood out. I'm not really a hardcore anything so it was nice to find a relaxed guild that understands real life comes first.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Well I've RPed with several in the forums here including Timelady, Raven, Cyrian, and Bjorn. Aside from that I'll usually join Friday night chats on mumble. I don't talk very often, but I swear I'm not sleeping or putting the headphones down so I can concentrate while playing spider solitaire.

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
Well technically speaking SWTOR will be my first MMO I will be roleplaying in. However, I have been playing video games since I was old enough to hold a controller. My two big MMO adventures thus far have been Ragnarok online(Loved this game), and WoW. I have also played a little D&D, mostly modern with some Star wars D20. My last game of D&D was probably 6 years ago ;-;

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
A place to relax and escape from my RL from time to time. I really do enjoy RPing, but I can't always promise I'll RP constantly. Sometimes if I'm really focused on something I might go silent for an extended period of time. I'm not doing it to be rude, I'm just miles away sometimes so bare with me. But I'm always helpful if I can be and will lend a hand if someone asks for assistance.

Have you read and agree to our Guild Policies and Guidelines?
Yes

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:

Tell us of your past.
There's little to tell. As a force sensitive I was trained on Katarr at the rebuilt temple there. When the empire attacked Coruscant and the order came that the temple was to be abandoned. My initiate class was the last to leave there. Truth be told I miss that planet even though it was mostly a dust bowl. It was quiet, peaceful, and I felt like I was making a difference there, something that I cannot say since I obtained my knight hood. I still keep in contact with the remaining members of my class. Two of them keep in contact with me more than the others. Master Marik enjoys meddling in the lives of his former padawans and my friend Arin has always tormented me ever since we were young, I hardly expect that will change even once we've both returned to the force.

From there like all Jedi I was sent to Tython to finish my training. I'd rather not discuss those years, save to say that in the end I was knighted to a Jedi. The lessons I learned on Tython were sobering. I struggle with some of them to this day but I refuse to waver now. I will do what I can to bring peace to the galaxy, restore the Jedi order, and heal the wounds that war leaves in it's wake.

Any knowledge of my past beyond that is mine to bare and mine alone.

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?
I can't be bothered with most hobbies. Droids irritate me like no other, I'm quite clumsy with a lightsaber, and I have no aptitude for space flight. But I suppose that doesn't answer your question.

I spend much of my life pursuing the mysteries of the force to gain understanding from them. Doing so allows me to close wounds of the force. The wounds of wars past still echo through the galaxy. Whether I am meditating or chasing some long lost artefact I feel like I am collecting pieces of a puzzle. If bringing together knowledge can help to heal the galaxy, I will. I sometimes wonder if it's a futile way to spend my life, mending places and people long broken. Still such acts bring me peace and give way to hope that maybe one day I can close the darkest wounds.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
If I have learned anything as a Jedi, it is that the future is always in motion and only fools claim to know the outcome. All I can do is navigate the channels of the force and stay true to what I've been taught. I hold no illusion of grandeur, my place in the Jedi order is not paramount to our survival. For now I will use my abilities to triage what I can, follow the Jedi code and the order in what ever they require of me. Even if that means I must return to the force.

I do however hope that one day I can see the Jedi temple on Coruscant rebuilt. To see the room of a thousand fountains, and to stand where so many of my kind have stood proudly before. That is a wound I would be proud to help heal. Or perhaps return to Katarr to the lonely temple. To feel the winter storms and the summer sun. But I guess dreams serve little purpose when the force is your guide. Where I end up, where we all end up, is in the wind. Until then I'll face what ever comes my way as a Jedi and a healer.
