Jystana sat quietly behind her desk reading over the missives that sat before her. Most were common place requests of The Overlord and his underlings: Freeport honors you with this task, or The Overlord gratefully accepts the generous nature of the order in your continuing support, always followed by a request for more. One of her disciples padded into the room silently and waited for his Sovereign to look up from her work. He was travel worn and the smell of the dust of the road clung to him. He had ridden fast to get back to the halls, as he wasn't expected to report back until the next day.

"You have news?" Jystana asked simply as she looked over the man's face and clothes looking for any sign of trouble that might have hastened his trip home.

"Yes Sovereign," he said as he lowered his head respectfully before continuing. "It was as you expected, the two families have allowed their feud to infect both of their respective villages. There was talk of witch craft and demonic influences in both towns with open scorn for the peace that the two wise women had been trying to keep. There was even the beginning whisperings of the two women being part of the coven that was responsible for the troubles."

Jystana listened quietly as her missionary relayed the situation to her, "And with your influence?"

"There were three hangings last eve. The two wise women and the young child that was blamed for the draught. The child predicted it early last summer. She would have grown to be a talented druid had anyone thought to train her. A real child of Tunare."

"Good, good and her family they are enraged."

The disciple nodded again, "They are already beyond sense at this point. I expect open war between the two shortly."

Jystana smiled at this. "Good, good. Return and fan the fire."

The disciple turned and headed out to leave before his Sovereign stopped him.

"Be sure to be subtle and keep your true purpose quiet, and remember to save the children. They are the future of our army, those raised in hate. Rest up as well, bathe and see Killian upstairs for some food and drink. You've done well."

Jystana looked out at the map of Norrath that sat on the corner of her desk which had been marked with an odd series of runes and notations in her hand.  The fires of hate burned strong and wild but with skill they were able to be tamed.
