Guildleader duties include:
The Guildleader is the OOC Player who is elected, not the character and must be a Saga Veteran.

IC, the Guildleader hold authority to swear new members into the guild, remove members deemed unworthy of our name and strive to make the guild members time spent in game a pleasant experience through scheduled and non-scheduled events.

OOC, the Guildleader exists to make administrative decisions (a representative democracy), elect staff, schedule and plan IC events and moderate the message boards.

Er. I realize the guildleader has to be a veteran, but shouldn't members get to nominate candidates? Only veterans can see this post, right?

Yeah, members should get to nominate and vote on leadership in their Saga chapter.

However, I must state that I am on a rotating shift based schedule so sometimes I completely disappear for a few days at a time and am unavailable and completely unable to get onto a computer. But then other times I get 5 solid days off in a row and can totally binge on computer time. So if that does not sound like a compatible schedule for Guild Leader I will happily take up an officer role but otherwise I totally accept. I am pumped for Wildstar.

I would gladly support Val Gith or Rumze as Guild Leader. Having a couple of good volunteers lined-up already... allows me to happily decline the nomination.

The bottom line is that I may still be on "temporary retirement" when this game launches, playing 10+ hours/day for the first month after release. That means I may devour the game very quickly, and then decide not to pay the sub fee.

It wouldn't be fair to the chapter to have a guild leader who might be burned-out on the game a month after launch.
