Open Beta Incoming?

Looks like there should be an announcement re: Open Beta in a few days.

I wonder if they will wipe the servers beforehand. It seems to me they have to, since they have to add more servers, i.e. Evindra the RP server, so that people can roll on them and reserve their names. Or am I wrong, and names are gamewide regardless of server?

You wouldn't think so, considering the devs are ex- WoW people.

I haven't been in beta too much, not wanting to burn myself out on it. I was in last night though. The game has been optimized beautifully. Smooth as silk. It's a solid game. Ethawn and I are looking forward to it.

Names are server wide . There will be a character wipe before launch. Haven't given details on name reservations yet .
Evindra was supposed to be the rp server for beta but it never opened so we will see what the name of the rp server will be.

Is anyone else having the problem only this weekend that enemy health bars are lagging? I hit stuff and it takes 2 seconds for damage to show so I end up shooting stuff that is already dead. I know it is not my computer since I ahve not had this issue before. Just this beta weekend.

Also, are costumes still bugged? I can't seem to make it work since they changed stuff around.

You have to go to a dyespecialist in the major cities now to change costumes . Other than that, they've worked fine for me .

You can't just do it from your menu? Hmmm. Why did they change that? That's kinda annoying actually.

But the health bars are still buggy.

Are costumes still going to be done by what items you put in the slots or are they going to make it so that any item you equip you get the appearance in a menu? That system is best but not a lot of games do it unfortunately.

For the health bars I use the Biji Plates add on. It makes everything so great.

We will need to have a discussion sometime about how to work the add-ons. I wish I had open beta so I could mess around with this on days off but alas only weekends during which I am mostly busy.

Yea, Biji Plates does look a lot better. And the Better Combat Text one looks nice too. Makes damage a lot more noticeable.

Any other favourite addons people have been using. I didn't even think to try any of them out.

Maybe a separate thread with a list of add-ons might be a better plan, Gith?
