  My Father's last wish

He's looking for me, I can hear his footsteps, see his sword gleaming in the moonlight. The sword dried with my Father's blood and now he wants mine. Crouched behind a bush I can hear his footsteps becoming louder, twigs and dried leaves crunching underneath his boots. A branch snaps to the right of me, I turn my head quickly to see him stood beside me, looking down at me as he raises his sword above his head....



I wake up..my heart is pounding and sweat is dripping down my brow.
"It was only a dream" I whisper. I slide out from under the sheets and make my way to the window, gazing out towards the moonlight. I've learned so much over the past few days, about my father, about a sacred quest and most importantly about Kirak Vil.
        Kirack Vil. The very thought of him makes me burn with anger. I want revenge, revenge for my father...

I followed in my father's footsteps and became a paldin of Tunare. In my father's family tradition the eldest son was to become a Paladin. I was an only child and my parent's knew they couldn't have any more children. My father had been unsure about me training to become a Knight, Korhil's father, Aenarion, offered to pay for my training so my father accepted, though he still was unsure about it. He believed being a Paladin was a dangerous proffesion and he once made Korhil promise that he would protect me and stay by my side.
I loved my father dearly, he was a kind and gentle man and I hoped one day he would come to accept the path I had chosen. I spent a lot of my childhood in his presence because he had retired from adventuring as a young man. We didn't have much money, my mother would travel throughout towns selling her bread and cakes. Sometimes my Father would go out for the evening and return with a pocketful of gold peices and maybe a ruby if he was lucky. Though this was a rare occasion as he wasn't well. He had a scar, a scar than ran from bottom of his jaw down to the middle of his ribcage. He once told me when I asked, that this was the reason he never adventured no more. Though when I inquired to how he got it he just smiled and said he would tell me another time.
