I'm a new recruit on the AB server of EQ2.

First and foremost Greetings to one and all.

Formally I'm known as Lord Gandanor Paendragonne.  I'm a human male Paladin and a follower of Lord Mithaniel Marr the Valorus.  I was born in Freeport before the shattering but I've been associated with Qeynos most recently.  Although I'm at least somewhat friendly with Maj'Dul and Kelethin.

In addition to my vocation as a Paladin of the 80th circle of honor I'm also a Grandmaster Armorer of the 84th degree.  Along those lines I can make all of the Master Crafted Armors through the 72 level, the Bathezid's Watch Plate and the Rilissian Chain.  I'm close to being able to complete the cloak and shields from the Danak Shipyard as well.  But I've recently gotten distracted, crafting-wise that is, by trying to get the Far Seas Supply Division to teach me the secret of crafting Teir 1 Shard Armor.

I have some family and close friends (( Alternate Characters )) who are also associated with Qeynos and/or Kelethin.  They are not very experienced and don't get out much.  However for completeness they are Justinian, my younger half brother a ranger of the 5th hunt, Norum, a brother-in-law by way of my wife Aarafel Paendragonne nee Willowsmuse, a Guardian of the 14th shield, and finally Murrh a troubedour to be of the 6th song. 

How did you hear of us?
I knew of Saga when we were allied as members of The Fellowship back before The Shattering ((EQ1)).  In particular I've kept in touch with Boudeccai ever since (( acrossed a a variety of different games)).  I don't know how many of you remember me from those days but my memories of Saga were always good ones.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Mostly Boo but I've talked to Sendiwen a few times over the time we've been absent from the old world.

(( In addition to EQ2 I've played extensively in EQ1 where I've met a number of the current Saga members.  I was a Guild Officer of the Ring of the Light including 6 months as the Guild Leader there.  After a change in attitude of my former guild I moved to League of Honour where I continued to function as a member of The Fellowship.

I've also played in Vanguard from Mid-Beta until shortly after the Sony takeover.  Breifly in Dungeons and Dragons Online, very very briefly in WoW and I still have a few active characters in Lord of the Rings Online, on the Nimrodel server.  I also played in Matrix Online, Eve, City of Heroes/Villains and Champions Online.))

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
Companionship mostly.  I do like to complete what I start but I'm also very patient so I've been known to let things sit quite often for years because I don't have the right companions to work on it.  I'm sure everyone says it but honestly I do like to help others.  And mostly I'm here to enjoy myself so I don't push to hard.  There's no list of things I just have to get done or I'm going somewhere else.  I do respect others and I expect to be treated with respect.

1. Tell us of your past.
  I was born originally in Freeport before the Shattering.  I grew up there in the Temple of the Twins and fought against the unlawful occupation of Freeport by the forces of "sir" Lucan.  I helped to form the guild The Ring of the Light and was involved there for some time as an officer.  During that time I frequently participated in efforts made by the alliance known as "The Fellowship" including numerous efforts to tame the so called Planes of Power.

  As a few of you may know it's those efforts which ultimately resulted in the Gods of old deciding that we adventurers had been guilty of extreme hubris.  On one very notable day I was slain while fighting Rallos Zek and instead of awakening to see the face of one of The Fellowships many healers I instead found myself staring into the visage of an avatar of milord Mithaniel Marr.  He told me that the time had come for me to celebrate in his Halls with other Paladins and also to continue our training there.  We were also told that if we became bored we could "sleep" for a time in the Hall of Paladins until milord decided it was time for us to be awakened again.  Eventually I took the sleep and much time passed.

  Unaware of just how much time had passed I found myself soaking wet and on a ship near the Queen's Colony.  I made my way there and, of course, learned the new ways of the Fighter/Cavalier/Paladin and eventually joined the Queen's service in Qeynos.  I consider myself to first and foremost be the servant of Mithaniel Marr.  Currently the Queen represents a reasonable ally of the forces of Good.  However, I remember well the betrayal of Kane Bayle and his descendents bear watching.

  Since my time in this new Norrath I've been a member of several guilds with my former allies from before the Shattering or at least with some of their Descendents.  I've spent considerable time in Crosswinds Trading Company, Elven Blades and Arcadian Exiles.  Most recently I spent a short time in Relic.

2. What hobbies and directives do you presently have?
  In addition to my crafting I also have spent a considerable amount of time improving my abilities as a tank ((185 AA points)) and helping my guild family and some of my old friends in that capacity.  There are a few tasks that I'd undertaken on behalf of Qeynos and/or Lord Marr that have long been put off.  I suppose that at some point I'd best get back to them but for the most part I'm content to assist others.

3. Where do you see yourself in the future?
  Much the same as what I'm doing now I suppose?  I've recently paused an alternate advancement skills learning and returned to increasing my circles of honor, hopefully to 90.  I'm also working on increasing my armoring skills to level 90 and gain the ability to craft shard armor, danak armor and battlegrounds armor.

Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga. 

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds are forming, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in EQ2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out immediately, but do not delay for too long. Take your time and look around.

After approximately two weeks, if the council approves your promotion to full member, you will then be given a quest journal which will be placed in the Library.  The quest requires that you interview at least three people who are of Member or better rank in game.  You will need to post their response and your reflections, if any, about the interview.  The process to have your application for Veteran status will take a period of at least two weeks.
