Scene

The trickling water from the piercing sky towers of Coruscant grew thicker the closer they fell to the lower levels. More and more water fell to the point that it became indiscernible from rain. The scattered drops barely registered on the holo-projectors in front of Ughru, one of the many seedy cantinas featuring desperate Twi'lek dancers. The replicated dancers by the entrance flickered for only a few moments before simultaneous explosions forced their way onto the streets. Whatever crowds were left were either disappearing around dark corners or moving by as if nothing happened. The echoes thundered across the district followed by a struggling silence. The hollowed out building that acted as a tiny piece of a skyscraper's foundation breathed one last sigh of methane and charred remains. There was no curious gaggle by the homeless and destitute. There were no alarms—simply the sizzling of fires, flickering holo-projectors, and the pitter-patter of the rain from the non-existent skies in the upper levels.

Two weeks later, much to the hesitation of the Republic Security Forces, Jedi were allowed to investigate the bombing. Normally, the investigation would've been dropped due to the safety issues and the lack of proper resources but the explosion claimed the life of an official that could not be so easily dismissed: Jedi Master Kol Juku, whose opposition to the Treaty of Coruscant was noted and hastily dismissed. The Republic attempted to quash the issue from reaching the ears of the public but nothing could hide such a notable disappearance in the Force. At first Jedi envoys sent to investigate were refused but eventually strings were pulled within the Senate to allow access of a subtle sort. Only a few select individuals knew the names of the investigators and any concluding evidence had to be submitted to the RSF's liaison, Sergeant Qort, who was also responsible for providing the Jedi investigators with available information and "guidance". In addition, a time restriction was placed so as to limit the amount of attention the case would receive.

Eshen

This was the first time Eshen has been to Coruscant without the company of his master and this is the second assignment he's been given to see through since his progression to becoming a Jedi knight. His arrival was received with mixed impressions by the Republic Security Forces. Although he was not given an escort he could not help but feel the RSF's eyes upon his every action. The last thing Coruscant needed was an incident involving Jedi and/or Sith on Coruscant soil. The tension was evident in the RSF as well as in public.

Sergeant Qort was Eshen's point of contact within the RSF and also the source of collected information thus far. He was then introduced to the chief, Nuel Closh, responsible for precinct 913 aka Dancers' Quarter. The chief made it very clear that Eshen's role was to identify how the inhabitants of the Ughru met their untimely death and by whom and that was it. It was the RSF's responsibility to apprehend and bring the culprit in for legal proceedings. Although Eshen agreed, he didn't mention that the way things turned out and the way the chief wanted things to turn out were going to be very different.

His first task, therefore, brings him to the scene of the crime but sifting through each and every charred item and remains was not his task. His was to identify those who were there at the scene or rather, those who weren't as the report stated. Fully aware of his lack of experience in dealing with the underground, Eshen requested the help of his jack-of-all-trades pilot to see what information could be found and where.

Setsua

As Eshen and his pilot search for data, Setsua is flying by on his ship. He sees Eshen ship and sends a signal to contact his ship. Setsua is standing by to see if Eshen would like any help or is stuck on the ground.
