Specifically, where is everyone in the beta? Saga sounds like a great guild, and I was hoping I might get to meet members during the beta weekends to see if it would be a good fit for me. I know some of the members were in closed beta and I imagine that more are in beta now thanks to the preorder. Does a Saga guild exist in the game now, and are there any plans to make one if not?

I just wanted to ask that question before the beta starts (and I pass out for the night). I'll work on my intro tomorrow, though I'm not sure how to answer it. The idea that you can pick just one character to focus on kinda baffles me. 

But the Exile I've played most in beta is my medic, so I'll try and do it from her perspective.

Take the number of tradeskills and divide by two and that's probably how many characters I will have. And then on the Dominion side...

Is there anyone you have got to know from the family, IC or OOC?

Not yet, but I hope to change that.

What types of games have you participated in? (include all types, such as pen/paper or MMORPGs, PC, Console, board games, card games.)

MMOs: Ultima Online (I didn't think much of the game but I wanted the idea to succeed... and it has), EverQuest (Those darn Saga folks and their noisy parties!), Dark Age of Camelot(Alys was originally a Friar), City of Heroes (best game for jumping around rooftops and yelling "Spoon!" until Assassin's Creed II), City of Villains (best game for shooting foes with a big gun and summoning robots until WildStar), World of Warcraft (Alys got her picture taken with every zone-guarding infernal in closed beta), Star Trek Online (best starship combats until... still waiting...), SWToR (best two-person RP I have ever experienced in any game in my entire life), Guild Wars 2 (Kasjory 4EVA!), World of Warcraft (girlfriend took me to BlizzCon and I got sucked back in. >.< )

D&D: Dabbled with Basic as a kid, played first and second edition in college, ran a long third edition campaign, played in a fourth edition one, haven't given the new version much of a look.

Other RPGs: Played Champions, ran TORG, desperate to get my hands on Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine.


What other games are you interested in that Saga participates or is moving towards?

In the Landmark alpha (or is it beta now?) but not doing much with it yet. Playing the Living Story in GW2 but if the guild is active there I'd love to do more.

What aspects of gaming have you enjoyed in the past and/or looking forward to enjoying with Saga? Light raiding, dungeon delving, situational roleplay, story-writing, crafting, PvP, etc.

I enjoy situational roleplay rather than planned storylines, story-writing when inspired though inspiration comes rarely, and I am far too much into crafting than is good for me. I like seeing dungeons rather than farming them, but Adventures intrigue me greatly.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?

Friendly people to chat with in-character as I play the game, and a sense that I'm contributing.

Tell us of your past.
I used to help herd the rowsdowers on the Saga, until one day they started getting sick. I got stuck carrying one to the flagship for Doc Lazarin to look at. While I was there I found this nifty pair of resonators no one seemed to want. Once I got to Nexus, I put them to good use.
Most of the rowsdower's on the Saga didn't make it, but they were still better off than the one Lazarin got hold of.

What hobbies and quests do you presently have?
I aim to brew the perfect beer... and drink a heckuva lot of imperfect ones.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Being tossed out of every bar on Nexus.

Saga sounds like a great guild, and I was hoping I might get to meet members during the beta weekends to see if it would be a good fit for me.

It is. Low drama and high fun is the goal. I imagine there'll be a higher presence in the beta now that pre-orders are around. I'm certain that one of the officers or our Wildstar Guild Leader, Rumze, will be by shortly to extend a more official welcome and sort out the in-game details so we can all get to know one another there. But don't be shy about roaming around the forums and making your mark and getting to know us there as well.

Hah. There are very few of us that focus on one. Saga is mostly full of RAGING alt-a-holics. Each character still has a story, of course, but focus probably isn't something I'd state as one of Saga's strengths. I mean there are plenty of examples where... SQUIRREL!

Great to have you here - at the moment , we don't have a guild in game but we will create a circle once we are in.

For the most part for the beta, we played when we could, but we kept in touch and talked over mumble , rather then having a fixed guild in game - partly because of there being different servers for closed beta and stress servers and also partly because some folks rolled dominion so that they wouldn't spoil exile lore and leveling for themselves!

I think Mixxi set up a saga circle on her server that should carry on , and I also know the closed beta folks had toons on nexus.

The unofficial rp server seems to be Envindra for now as well. I will end up making a post that asks what server folks are trying the game out on in a moment to help coordinate! But for sure, please feel free to join us on mumble if you can and get to know folks !

As for 'main' character, I think that really boils down to what are you having most fun on at the moment or your most favorite character in your army of alts. I know it does for me !

But seriously, we did have a tiny Saga guild on the Dominion side. Several of us did roll Dominion so we would not spoil exile side content as Rumze said. I made me a Chua spellslinger.

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Thank you for filling out the attached roster card and posting it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in Wildstar so they can get to know you.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.
