BDO: Horse Breeding Theory

Well, I've made 7 attempts at a T7 horse since the June 1st update, all of them with enough black to theoretically get a black purebred T7C. No joy.

My remaining choices are to go back to T3/T4/T5 for more strong male black breeding stock, or move ahead with the T6's I have. I actually like some of the new non-purebred T7's, so I think I'll just move ahead with this motley crew of T6's and take whatever T7 I get (if I get one).

The black and red T6 actually has as good of starting stats as most T7's, so it's tempting to make her my main horse. However, she started with Fore Chop and that's not an advantageous first skill for my experimental super horse process.

Yay! Tenth time is the charm. Please meet my new T7 palomino stallion, Karana. He's not my favorite looking horse, but he's a beast from a performance pespective... with starting stats of speed, accel, turn and brake all at 127%.



EDIT: Now with new armor. Nothing makes a stallion feel sexier than red feathers...

I think it's beautiful! We have a pair of nice-looking tier 7's in the guild now.

I think that's the same horse I got for my first attempt at a T7. Since then it's just been a quartet of T6 mares, which I have attached to a merchant wagon because it amuses me to have them all level up at the exact same time.

Finished leveling Karana (T7H) to 30th. I like his final stats pretty well. I was a little disappointed with his Speed at first, but then I noticed he has quite good Health and Stamina. He's a hearty beast with well-rounded movement stats. He ended up with 14 skills (missing Hind Kick and Caution by design).
